  1. hello, my feedback: Poodle got stuck without refueling (no big deal) behind the tanker, I tried then to do the refuel myself, I could not connect (just like the task was not active, regardless of regular responses from the tanker)
  2. Hello, first off, thanks for this wonderful campaign my issue (beware, it's the first campaign I fly over Syria, so I don't claim about a campaign issue): TCN range counter, an all missions flown so far, freezes at a certain point and, if I don't turn it off then on, the TCN marker on the HSI shifts, from the intended position, to a continuosly changing position, keeping the same range from ownship, when the counter froze just for feedback
  3. Hello, I've purchased the module on Steam it appears to work in 2D, yet, in the VR Huey cockpit, after toggling it on, only a little blue banner (with the writing NS 430) is displayed just over the crew overlay panel, in the lower right corner thanks for help
  4. yet, with deferred lighting off, the cockpit is good, while the night sky and environmenet lighting are awful (VR Oculus) :)
  5. it was that, for me, thanks
  6. posting the solution for helping maybe others: for unknown reasons to me, the VR center key was deleted in UI layer VR config (not by me)
  7. VR centering key no more working [win10, Oculus CV1] Hello, without absolutely touching anything since last DCS use, today the centering KP5 key, sometimes is no longer working, sometimes it works only in the cockpit, yet not centering properly (with a large offset to the right) the other VR games seem to work correctly (yet they don't have a re-centering key) please, any hints? thanks
  8. I succeeded in editing logbook.lua, by editing the campaigns' folders, and manually reformatting the statistics section and editing the values in case another pilot had the same problem.....(maybe it will be me again :) ) thanks for directions
  9. I found that, yet I was only capable to retrieve the logbook.lua from (?) Mission Editor folder now DCSw displays my career status, but not my Ka50 campaigns story, which are not available as well in the campaign menu.........
  10. Hi, as you may have experienced, after a while things are forgotten, and sorry if I've not found any replies, here and on Steam I've uninstalled the standalone BS2 (yet I kept a total backup), and bought it on Steam DCSworld (hopefully for easier life ...) please, where do I find the ongoing BS2 campaign and pilot files, and where do I have to put them to retrieve the progress on the new Steam setup? thanks
  11. ok, now I can reply myself and leave this for another new Ka50 user: go into C:\Users\USERNAME\Saved Games\DCS BlackShark 2\MissionEditor open logbook.lua with wordpad find the right campaign (in case there's more than one), then the mission by date, and delete the crashed one (which should be the latest, ranked with the highest number) the campaign will restart from the previous completed mission
  12. hello, it's not the first time that BS2 crashes along a mission (mostly after temporarily switching to desktop), in campaign the issue is that the sim registers the crash as a mission failure, and prompts another mission, instead of allowing to replay the crashed one although trying with ctrl-alt-del and stopping BS2, the campaign planner reloads, and the failure is registered please, is there any trick to totally end BS2 when that happens? thanks
  13. thank you this squares things a little more - along my learning process - against wingmen AI unreliability and (latest discover) SAMs capable of shooting at tree level (!)
  14. I didn't try 3D vision so far in BS2 in depth, yet in other software (FSX, fighting games) the only solution for clicking the right spot at once is to enable the 3D vision software pointer, unless strongly decreasing 3D vision settings, which is of course not the solution because it ends in using 3D vision without 3D vision
  15. that would be almost mandatory in a CAS sim like this ... let's be satisfied, nonetheless, of the existence of the "hold" option
  16. first I have to say that in editor I can do only veeery simple things, at this time ... so, here's my solution: -in mission planner I click on the group(s) that's supposed to be on the move: there appears a path -on the right I add an advanced waypoint action -there appears on the left another window: I chose the "hold" in the dropdown task window -then I press the condition button and check the start time -finally I press the stop condition button, set the time (initial time plus the amount I desire) and the duration of the condition this for all the three groups of movers I'm sure it could be done better than I did, yet I achieved the goal, after several unsuccessful attempts, with the first try: I set a "hold" of 20' ... a low value, because two thirds of my allies were destroyed, yet I had time to clean everything off the ground for the surviving one
  17. now I can reply myself, and maybe help a future newcomer when along the mission there appears a first "mission failure", keep pressing on, it won't mean actually mission failure before flying, enter the planner, and :smartass: slow down the advance of the friendly ground troops: there will plenty of time to smootly perform the CAS, without them hastlily going into enemy fire
  18. Hi, I have difficulties with the 2 ship task of that mission into a narrow valley - if I stay low I cannot acquire targets, and getting near to enemy armors makes my flight an easy target to SAMs and AAA - if I try to keep a high standoff position, I cannot recognize targets and fast movers attack me as I become a sitting duck, 150mt up in the air - the wingman, if sent on recon is shot down, if sent on engaging air defenses is shot down - if I try to take my time to acquire and engage distant ground enemies, friendly ground vehicles (moving in a hurry) are destroyed and the mission fails so I'm asking for any tactical advice, thanks
  19. Hi, I'm not able to find in any manual (nor in the forum) the controls indicator (Rctl-Ent) in-depth description my questions: 1 although my stick and rudder appear to be centered in Warthog's utility, there I have the diamond off center although not touching the stick, and the rudder slights off center to the right, even keeping my feet off it 2 - there is a "B" flashing: what does it means? - in the lower left of the controls indicator window there appears another reference scale: for what peripheral is it? thanks (and sorry for missing the answers, anywhere they are, of course there are ... :) )
  20. let me dissent a little about it :): in the mission I mentioned in this thread (four times unsuccessfully flown so far): 1 all flight of three wingmen charged at bandits and all went down (me included) 2 one of my flight crashed when climbing the mountain slope before the initial attack point (hinds did the rest) 3 two crashed while I was trying to set an ambush in hover for the same "haunting" Hinds, along a slope, in the valley left from the initial point 3 the surviving one charged at target area, instead of using stand-off tactics, and ... ejected 4 wing 3 and 4 collided enroute while changing formation from echelon to trail, with no obtacles around this is of course maybe due also to my inexperience with the sim behaviour and commands, yet I'm "slightly" beginning to figure out why, although at rookie level, I've already been contacted by other BS pilots, to fly with them in multiplayer: less wingmen there, nonetheless I can't do worse than friendly AI , at least in A2G missions it looks like I've discovered, not only detection issues, but also a AI tendency to carelessly charge at commanded targets ....
  21. that's what I was thinking about, while reading the other posts: to execute the mission, interpreting it, without following blindly ATO orders; although in your case you adopted a trick (that's a revised kind of drag maneuver :D from air combat doctrine), maybe another approach to the target valley is worth a try
  22. :shocking: this could be even worse than I experienced with EECH, where AI enemy choppers encounters were a nightmare, for awareness and precision (yet they could avoided, staying out of line of sight) ... goodbye to tactics, in case
  23. Hi, I'm running the first stock BS2 campaign (deployment) there is a deep strike task (7th mission) in which there's to wait su24s to complete their SEAD although I keep my stand-off position (10K out from the target area), there appear mi24s that seem to be perfectly aware of my flight existence, charge head on and take down my flight (unless recurring to labels, I was not even aware of exixstence, and by telling my flight to engage bandits as soon as I heard a "bandit call" did not produce anything better then my flight going defensive and being destroyed) of course I know I'm in the BS2 learning process, yet I'm wondering whether enemy AI in helos has quite an edge (maybe due to a very good ophthalmologist :)), and how to be better prepared to face an unexpected incoming scrambling flight, with no labels activated, thanks
  24. Hi, I've tried to change nothing in the default BS2 commands list, but, experiencing difficulties in hovering, I've discovered that the Warthog hover programmed keypress (lalt-t) sometimes activates the trimmer (t), thence .... my hovering difficulties :) the Warthog Target Event Tester reports correct working of the Thrustmaster Hotas (no "t" escaped), yet into the game, sometimes, the hover keypress on Warthog triggers the trimmer (I hear the trimmer sound), and the aircraft loses stability something I've missed in Target programming or BS recognition issue? thanks (now I've inverted "t" with "lalt-t" for trimming/hovering, and it seems to be better, no more unwanted triggering of trimmer ... so far)
  25. I've found this: C:\Users\username\Saved Games\DCS BlackShark 2\ yet I don't know which is the campaign file ...
