  1. FEW HOURS of multiplayer ? have you ever played BF 3 ? its the best combat simulation ever .. and its life is infinite .. i prefer paying 200$ for BF3 than 10 $ for a P51 in dcs world . But if theres new features other than a P51 in the uptade , i'll adapt my argumentation :)
  2. I can tell you that i know it quite better than you because my grand-father actually flown Corsair ,F51 , bearcat and other in Indochine and Vietnam with French and Us air force , so i can tell you that i'm quite well placed to know that because of all the stories he tells me since i'm a child. BUT if i ask him " grandpa , do you think its realistic to add a P51 in a crimea warzone among A10C and ka50 " i think he will swallow his denture ... I just want without irony to know the interest of adding a WWII aicraft ? what will it add to gameplay , mission editing , etc ?
  3. I don't think so i think that this topic have been forgotten by evryone who likes more WWII aircraft ..
  4. but it is a Combat sim , i bought DCS because its a COMBAT SIMULATION : means realistic engagement in a combat zone with realistic aircraft etc .. this is nonsense to me , but i'd really like that a ED member explain me the philosophy of this thing to make me understand , because now for me its mainly " another thing to sale " but i'm fully open-minded to an explanation :smilewink: Sorry but for me , having to pay Sciences PO 7000$ per year plus an PC , those uprgrade that cost 19,99 $ and which are unrealistic in this Area/combat era/ etc are not a thing that i buy without thinking . Even something wich is 1$ i will not buy it if its interesting , but thats my opinion ... not yours as i see
  5. ? And , i don't make missions with Buk and sam evrywhere , but i CAN make realistic mission with A10C and Ka-50. But what would do a WWII aircraft here ??? i think the next dcs module is lot more important to focus on ..
  6. None of them suit in realistic action with A10C and KA50 ... i doubt that there is a lot of things to do in a P51 without anything to shot .. Evryone will tell me " fly around with it its a p51 ! " but i don't get pleasure to only fly around , i'll get FSX instead if i wanted this or fly for true
  7. .. The JTAC was in the beta , i hope there will be a lot more feature to make it worth 19,99$ . As always , very good ideas but bad politics IMHO (i'll get banned if i don't walk on eggs ... ) For the WWII aircraft  , do you know there will be a new " environnement " ? Like other aircraft to shoot etc , or will it be " fly a P51 vs Mig29 in crimea 2012 for 19,99$ " wtf ? :pilotfly: :megalol: You guys have very good ideas coming anyways :) good to see that , but a bit worry with FC3 i hope to see other annoucements next :)
  8. send me a PM to show me when so, and even if , its not a reason to judge people before they even speak. :smartass: And to PeterP totally agree with you ;) RESPECT the general !
  9. I have been told on this forum by ED member or moderator that it was accurate. And you seem LOT peremptory and aggressive . Can't you just point my error instead of spreading that you work on A10C ? evryone knows it don't worry . And don't accuse me on things that you think i plan to say, i'm not stupid why would i argue ? . and thanks for the informations :) regards
  10. Hi all, the "why" of the no-implementation of the Sniper XR pod in A10C have already been asked and the response was "because its quite the same" . I agree with this but i'd love to get it how many people think it would be a good addition to get the sniper XR ? it means a different TGP pages and some new functions too . And yes, the Sniper XR pod is availaible with the A10C suite that is modelized in DCS Quote from http://www.a-10.org/phpbb2/viewtopic.php?t=13222&sid=1b02f25a49d8f41e3dfcf5f6c51795cf " Lockheed Martin and U.S. Air Force Mark Successful Sniper® ATP Site Activations at A-10C Units ORLANDO, FL, June 3rd, 2009 -- Lockheed Martin [NYSE: LMT] and the U.S. Air Force have successfully completed Sniper® Advanced Targeting Pod (ATP) A-10C site activations at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base in Tucson, AZ, and Spangdahlem Air Base in Germany. Sniper ATP site activations involve pod installation, maintenance and aircrew training. Coordinated with the Air Force Precision Attack Systems Project Office and Air Combat Command, Sniper ATP site activation efforts ensure maintainers are prepared to fully support the system in theater and that aircrews are proficient with pod operations and capabilities. "The Sniper ATP represents a significant improvement in combat capability," said Lt. Col. Michael Millen, commander of the 354th Fighter Squadron, Davis-Monthan AFB. "With the addition of the Sniper ATP, the A-10C has realized a quantum leap in its ability to locate, identify, track and ultimately defeat targets across the modern battlefield. The A-10C with Sniper ATP is an incredibly lethal combination." In its first month with Sniper ATP, 354th Fighter Squadron Airmen successfully utilized the new combat capability during two separate military exercises. During Exercise Emerald Warrior at Hurlburt Field, FL, A-10C pilots with Sniper ATP successfully supported a range of special operations forces missions. During Exercise Green Flag East, the crews successfully supported Army ground forces conducting urban combat training at the Army's Joint Readiness Training Center at Fort Polk, LA. "In both exercises, Sniper ATP proved a tremendous asset due to its enhanced ability to track moving targets, as well as its capability to downlink full-motion video so that Joint Terminal Attack Controllers on the ground could fully assist in positive identification of all targets. In the final analysis, the A-10C with Sniper ATP truly delivered precision engagement," said Lt. Col. Millen. Competitively selected as the Advanced Targeting Pod for the U.S. Air Force and Air National Guard, the Sniper ATP provides critical long-range, positive identification of both moving and stationary air and ground targets. It also possesses a video down link equipped with the widely used Rover ground receiver to relay high-resolution streaming video to forward-deployed forces for non-traditional intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance and rapid target coordination. "The Sniper pod delivers true precision engagement while increasing standoff, allowing for both greater lethality and increased survivability in a hostile combat environment," said Lt. Col. Millen. Designed, developed and manufactured by Lockheed Martin, the Sniper ATP provides unrivaled precision engagement through its high-resolution, mid-wave forward-looking infrared (FLIR) and TV sensors, which operate in conjunction with a dual-mode laser, permitting eye-safe operation and precise geo-location in urban environments. Sniper ATP is currently site activated at operational U.S. Air Force and Air National Guard F-16 Block 30/40/42/50/52, as well as all F-15E and B-1 bases. It is deployed in combat operations on F-16, F-15E, B-1 and Harrier GR7 and GR9 aircraft. At the close of 2008, over 500 Sniper pods were delivered or on order to the U.S. Air Force, Air National Guard and 10 international air forces, including coalition partners. Sniper ATP A-10C site activation efforts are scheduled to continue this summer at Moody AFB, GA. With advanced integration across U.S. Air Force and multinational F-16, F-15, B-1, F-18, Harrier, A-10, B-52 and Tornado aircraft, the Sniper ATP's common software and hardware interface design enables users to "plug and play" across services and multiple platforms, providing a common software and hardware configuration across aircraft fleets for greater interoperability. 11. As said a bit off topic in the ED SCREENSHOT THREAD (thats why i post it there, more appropriate i think) , someone has pointed the difference between the old and the new model : the old is right , longer than KC135 and the new is extremly beautiful but wrong : copy paste of KC135 Viper told me that ED was surely aware and working on it, i'd juste like to know if his thought are true. Here are the screenshoot that i found on the screenshoot thread : A10C and BS1 Dimensions Envergure 44,42 m Longueur 46,74 m Hauteur 12,73 m Surface alaire 283,35 m2 BS2 and A10C 1.1.1.0 ? Dimensions Envergure 39,2 m Longueur 42,8 m Hauteur 11,5 m regards .
  12. Dont think so , i've sent him a PM a month ago and no response
  13. "Without the right to blame there is no flattering félicitation" Beaumarchais And thé first right that i acquire when clicking proceed on paypal is this one . I don't have to be constructive i just point out à problem
  14. Aahhh ED and its communication when they are wrong  i should really employ you in politics :smilewink:
  15. You're right but my point is that i dont understand why it isn't modeled rightly . DCS Never did things " oh its approximate but it Will fit " . This is an HArdcore sim , it dont bother me in à mission , but its thé philosophy of " oh its quite thé same we dont care " that schok me. Thé 3D model is impressively well done so Thats why its strange
  16. I suggest you to put you with a helmet and fly with a real plane :pilotfly: Then , try to throw the helmet out .. , nothing happens ? right Then throw the throttle and the stick out .. :helpsmilie: Now, what seems you the most important to fly and the kinda-useless one ?
  17. Please be polite first, and then go play Ace combat if you dont care to have we wrong 3D models :joystick:
  18. i think that yes you're the only person playing an hardcore sim, with evry button mapped on the cockpit realistic Flight model etc etc ... with a .. MOUSE ?
  19. So does this mean that they made a " new incorrect model " ? for the KC 135 ? , it looks like the kc 135 but only with the motor changed and a radar on top ? or am i wrong ?
  20. Some ED people responded that it was because of the 32/64 bits problem, becaus the Engine couldnt be lauched at the same time with the interface. But i am COMPLETLY FOR
  21. And all check 6 users ! i think it could have a great sucess in Paris
