Hello, i have a question rather than a problem. Given the pictures attached, i wonder if it is normal to have those stripes in rendering the sky especially, instead of a continuous image.

[CLOSED] DCS 1.5 Problem with (0xc000007b) error

I have the same problem, after previously solving missing MSCVR120.dll missing. -
Hello, I'm having this weird problem with DCS: MiG21 activation seems to no longer be valid to hardware changes. The game will no longer start until i waste another activation. With 7 of them left i wonder when will this stop since the error comes again from time to time. Any solutions? Cheers

After all, it only depends wich of the assumptions are the standards for "understanding of air combat". Maybe we should just play the game how it is. Cheers.

Yes, and this brings up another debate: the launch warning of a SARH missiles. If the pilot started to chaff when he was locked, asuming he was fired on, why do we have different launch warning in DCS when you fire an R-27 ER for example.

Hi, first of all, IFF doe NOT work through the radar, but is a matter of transponder encoding, that means it is a radio emission by IFF antena, and again not radar. The best thing a modern radar like of an F-15 or an F -16 do is ideintify the aircraft type. Therefore, the DCS gameplay is an arcade type and not fully realistic. If it were to be realistic it would come down to close range combat and RF vs US type only, or the constant use of AWACS help. http://www.dean-boys.com/extras/iff/iffqa.html

Hi, i have this question: what does the PARSE parrameter reffer to in rendering? I noticed it has something to do with the FPS; when parse value goes up, fps drops, without having more units added in the visual. I have attached 2 pics bellow. Cheers!

I see. Thanks for the help.

Hi. After setting a small mission around Krasnodar i have noticed a small issue. In the pics bellow there can be seen a view difference between cockpit and external views. It seems that vision distance varies when inside or outside cockpit. Also when zooming in and out in pit there seems to be a foggy vision delimitation like the camera is inside a graphic processing sphere. Is there a way to enlarge this limit in order to see at larger distances? In the UH-1 pics there is a clear difference between view distance of objects, In the F-15 pit pics view distance depends on the zoom, but seems to have a predefined limit. Question is: can this limit be increased?

In my case, the CPU never exeeded 1600MHz out of 2600MHz, i have no idea why, maybe an old system error. By setting high performance in power options it has been set to work at full power, but it won't stay on 2600MHz at idle; if u do not have a powerful application started, the CPU will relax, since it does not have anything to process. Long story short, i was trying to get supersonic with throttle limited on 60% :D So having the good hardware setting i think is a must do for a player i'd say.

Hi, i wish to post this message to all players that have encountered low FPS with their game. After spending a few whole days trying to figure out how to improve game performance, i noticed in CPU-Z application that my CPU freq was about 1500MHz out of 2600MHz total. So, make sure you check controle panel, hardware, power options set to high performance - advanced settings need to have cpu set to 100% and turn off sleep, hibernate and disk shut off. For me it worked amazingly, in a 8v8 mig29 vs su27 df FPS went up from 14 to 30+!!! It felt like the game came back to life. I hope this helps. Best wishes!

Yes, i wanted to know what those parameters mean and how can i play with them to improve FPS.
-
Hi, is there a link to where the file graphics.lua is explained by parameters? Such as lod, objects, dynamic, precahing ?
-
Maybe it is because of the last DCSW updates?

Hi, any idea why it does not work for me anymore? It worked until new game reinstall, now it won't :(
-
Correction, i did have them, static objects on the parking lot; you are right, that is what caused the critical fps drop.
-
Yeah, it helped SkateZilla! Thanks for help. The main problem was i had 2 static MiG21 on the parking area just in front of me, that is why fps was so low in that area, when i turn my head and they enter the screen, the fps drops down alot. Anyway, fps improved with this new driver. Now i have to see why the autopilot bugfix doesn't work anymore, cause it did!
-
No, i do not have it. Can't explain what happened, the game worked fine until the reinstall today.
-
Oh and, the question was: can anyone please help?
-
Hi, i have recently installed(today) DCS after OS reboot. Under the same conditions FPS dropped down seriously, especially in MI8 and Ka50 - FC3 runs ok. Mi8 in unplayable. On the previous install it was ok with AMD driver 14.4 but now it is over. No matter of the changes i make in options there is no difference in FPS. My specs are: Intel core i7 920 @2700GHz 6GB DDR tripple channel ATI Radeon R9 270X 2GB GDDR5 5600MHz DirectX11 installed.
-
Forgot to mention but, thanks for the help....
-
Already installed 14.4; is hydravision ok to have installed? Doesnt it interfere with the provided drivers? Shagrat, the old gf260 is dead, burned GPU. MSAA and TSAA have no impact on fps, at least none that i can visually detect, neither mirrors and gauges resolution. I think the videocard does the job good actually. Thanks alot for the help! Maybe there will be a next release with easier particled smoke :)
-
Is it possible that GF260 GTX did not have this problem because it was running on 448bit? My actual card is on 256 bit, so maybe particle processing such as smoke was better on the old one? Overall settings work much better on this one, on the gf260 i could not play the game with high scenes and visibility, but with R9 it runs perfect. Or maybe the smoke particles have been much improved in the game and now it takes much more to process?

Thanks for the help! Your link was very useful Shagrat, i can feel some 10% fps boost with it. Basically the sim runs great, the only problem showes in Ka-50 or Mi-8 when firing a long burst of rockets at some ground units, right after impact and flying a few meters above the ground, that's when fps slows down, during the smoke spread after the blasts, but after that it starts running smooth again. Settings are all high for 1680x1050 res, MSQAA 16x, TSAA on, mirrors, tree shadows, but no HDR coz i like it better without.
