I want to replace my EAC switch, because it´s too wobbley. I opened the throttle´s base bottom, and removed the little screw from the circuit board where the switches are attached. When I tried to pull out the board (and the switches), it didn´t move! So I believe there is something else holding it tight to the case. Can anyone help me with that and tell me how do I remove the circuit board (and the 3 switches), so I can replace my EAC switch? I didn´t want to use brute force to pull it out, because I believe there is a wiser way to remove this board. Thx in advance

WIP DCS A-10C and Teamspeak 3 Integration
Direwolf replied to Headspace's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
TARS is working well for A-10C, but when I join the Huey, TARS doesn´t me recognize as a Huey, but as DCS:WORLD Aircraft, and show me the 3 preset radios on TARS Control Panel. Any ideas? -
So what´s your graphics configuration inside the sim? Do you use a Nvidia profile? If so, what is your config on Nvidia Control Panel? How did you get your 60 fps?
-
No problem. I don´t think I´m gonna use symbolic links (I am not familiar with the procedure), but I´m gonna keep a Backup folder with the files I have inside Saved Games. And for the mods that are inside DCS WORLD, I´ll use JGSME. But I noticed ED is migrating to this new files structure (Saved Games), and in a future release JGMSE should think about it.
-
I have a doubt: Some of the files I use for modding are now inside Saved Games folder, because the changes ED did on the files structure. How do I recreate the structure to redirect JGSME to that folder? E.g I have my Export.lua and Tarsexport.lua inside c:/Users/User/Saved Games/DCS/Scripts folder. How do I create a structure inside _MOD folder (that´s inside c:/Program Files/Eagle Dynamics/DCS World)?

It´s becoming amazing. For sure I´d add to my mods. But I´d like to give a little suggestion: add some more gauges! The gauges in the main monitor are too small, so I´m sure it would help a lot!

Hey guys! Why don't you join us? Check our site www.vtacticalairgroup.net, and if you think that´s what you´re looking for (because I think we have the same purpose), take a try! See you in the virtual skies

Where (folder path) do I access the maps showed on TAD? By the way, I use Helios, and there is a set of airbase charts I can access, but I would like to change some of them and I can´t find their path. Any ideas?
-
You´re right about the version. I was using the previous one. I did like you told me to, and everything is working like a charm (so far)! My mods (Helios and TARS) are working well. You´re the man!
-
It didn´t work! Attached there is a picture of the results. The NVG is too big, off to the left, and there is a NVG mask in the HUD (I believe some remainings from PeterP´s mod). Another thing: You tell me to set some config to MASK_SIZE and MASK_CENTER, but I didn´t find it in the file nvg_mod.hlsl. Where are these lines? SO, can you tell me what is wrong and how to get rid of this NVG mask? Just for remember: my monitors are a 1920 x 1080 and a 1680 x 1050, so I believe my config is 3600 x 1080, right?
-
Thanks, man. I´ll try to set this new mod this afternoon.
-
My main monitor is the left one for sure. But could you give me the coordinates to have my NVG mask in the right position and size? And if possible, the numbers for the other arguments I need to adjust, to have the best image?
-
I have PeterP´s mod installed on my computer. Do I have to uninstall it? And if so, could you help me to configure my 2 monitor´s set? The main one is 1920 x 1080, and the secundary is 1680 x 1050. Thanx in advance.
-
Questions Peter I´m using your mod until now without problems. I had to change a lot of things (like resising the NVG, setting a new mask, a new monitor profile, besides altering some files). Now you say this mod is better than yours. Do I have to uninstall everything I did for your mod, and return to the original configuration, to use this one? Like I said, I had to resize the NVG because I´m using a 2 monitor configuration (1980 x 1050 as principal and 1680 x 1050 as secondary), and using the original NVG I was having a stretched (oval) vision. Using your instructions I got a rounded NVG. Am I supposed to keep using your NVG (and monitor configs), or should I start from the scrap, and follow the new instructions? Bottom of line: What do I need to keep from your mod, and what to get rid of, for this new mod?

I am experiencing a glitch on a particular mission (Op. Gridiron). Still on the ground (engines off, APU off), I turn the NVG goggles on, and then I get the night vision without the mask. So I turn it off, and I got the mask (but not the night vision). I tested it on other missions, and the mod is running ok (even on day missions). Any ideas what is happening?

WIP DCS A-10C and Teamspeak 3 Integration
Direwolf replied to Headspace's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
I really appreciate your work, and I imagine how hard is to get the things working alltogether. Take your time to do what adjustments you need to, I just wanted to know if this was a problem of my equipment, or something related to the program. Now that I know, I won´t bother you anymore. Thanks for this product. It changed the way we fly! -

Are the channels (right and left) supposed to be working ? Like I said before, I can have this functionality working, but I have to go to TS3 settings, plugins, uncheck TARS box, and check it again, while DCS is running. And that´s not how it worked before, when you set the radios channels once in TARS Control Panel, and you never had to set it anymore. -

HeadSpace Is this expected, or we are having problems with our rigs? -

The new version is working, but with the same restriction as before (earphone´s channels issue). I hope that´s because it is still a beta, and this function is disbled. But I can force it to work, unchecking and checking back TARS plugin box on TS3 configuration. And that´s weird.... -
I have two monitors, being the main 1920 x 1080, and the second one 1680 x 1050. I tried every possible way to get the circled view off to the left, but, I always get the oval (stretched) view. I don´t have fancy drawing programs ( I use Paint to modify the focus.png file), so I´m not getting it. Can someone draw me this mod file for this configuration? EDITED: SOLVED!

Saitek Combat Rudder Setup?
Direwolf replied to Darkwolf187's topic in Controller Questions and Bugs
I solved the problem just using "tune axis" options from CONTROL´s tab, inside DCSW. After assigning Wheel Brake LEFT to JOY_X, press Axis Tune and set it this way: Deadzone - 0 Saturation X - 0 Saturation Y- 100 Curvature - 0 And check invert box. Do not check the other boxes! Repeat the same procedure to the JOY_Z (Wheel Brake RIGHT). Assign JOYRZ to rudder, and do not change anything. It works like a charm for me.
