Guys,sorry to bore you all with this again,I have just reinstalled the latest version of the Su-25 module,and after choosing the skin that Ike spoke of,the 'Field cammo scheme #2 (native) 960th Shap'I took a screenie of it in game.
Sorry,but although very similar,it is not the skin as pictured at the beginning of my thread,for a start the font is not red with the white/cream border,and the sky blue underside is far less bright,and the camo just looks washed out.
So to conclude,we do not have this skin with the Su-25,we have a similar version,but IMO the one that comes with the module isn't half as nice,pity :cry:
So DCS if you are checking these forums,can we please have your original version of this skin as shown in your pre release photos,as per my picture at the beginning of this thread,thanks.

It's "Field cammo scheme #2 (native) 960th Shap", I just flew a sortie with this skin. As already confirmed it is one of the default skins coming with the Su-25A.

Well now I'm sure it's an "official livrery", I'd just checked in game. Note that this skin is for the Su25A, not the default Su25T already present in the game. You have to buy Flamming Cliff 3 or buy the Su25A as a separate module. If it's the case, then try a repair.
Mmm.......thanks droopy it would appear I must have a fault with my SU-25 module,as on a closer check,of my livery folder,I only have 4 of the default skins showing and my favourite is not one of them.
Sorry chaps for misleading everyone,:doh:I am going off to reinstall my Su-25 module.

I only wish it was in there,but unfortunately not,I have the SU-25 module and it doesn't come with this skin.
It's especially maddening as this pic shows the DCS SU-25 in a pre release phase,just a big pity the module didn't arrive with this skin,it is by far the best IMO. :(

Hi all,I'm trying to get hold of this skin,can anybody please inform me where I may find it please ?.........it's such a great skin,just love that red font,btw it is not a default skin.
Needless to say,I would be eternally grateful for any help in tracking down this excellent skin.

Hi all,I have recently had to reinstall my DCS World and with it obviously all of my Modules.
All has gone well apart from the fact in the 'MODULE MANAGER' I can't find the module for the F-190 Dora,all the other modules are there but no F-190D in the list.Can anybody throw any light as to why it's not in the list?

Excuse me for asking,but what ever happened to ' EDGE '?, is it still being tweeked for release or has it been forgotten now,it seems such a long time ago now that I've lost touch with the interest surrounding it.

Anyway - it's history and all posts like this will do is stir up ill feeling by people like myself.
Mate if you get upset by what I have said,then don't cause yourself more upset by commenting on it,that's daft.
As I already stated in my opening thread,this is an 'observation',no one's intending to stir anything up here,or ask for comments.
However drawing on what people have commented on so far,and it would appear that a lot of you chaps don't mind paying out for nothing in return,if that's the case,great,it's your money,and you must spend it how you like.As for me,I couldn't be that blasé about losing that kind of money,but we're all different.

I am soooo glad I didn't buy into this project when it kicked off,talk about dead in the water!,....it's been over two years since he started this project and just like his other projects it's just fizzled out.
Yes I know that it's now been taken over by DCS proper now,but I'm just glad I didn't part with any cash up front,nothing this guy has started has been fulfilled or come to any fruition.After the mess iL2 Cliffs Of Dover was left in,there was no way I was going to support his 'Kickstarter' project,and two years on it is quite obvious I made the correct decision.
Just an observation ;)

After the F-4E, I would really like to see the F-8E Crusader. That awesome plane was the Navy's primary dogfighter until the F-4B's and F-4J's arrived in number. It also had the highest kill ratio of any fighter in Vietnam.
Now you're talking,excellent aircraft,shot down more enemy aircraft than the F-4,a very underated aircraft IMO.
I'd buy the F-8 Crusader in an instant if made available.

F-4E Phantom Vietnam skins for AI?
Could anyone in the know,create a decent F-4 skin for the AI so we can have a historic vietnam F-4 to fly against,now we have this excellent terrain,it seems a pity we have so few Vietnam historic looking aircraft to fly against..One like Robin Olds F-4C would be great.
I can get the AI F-4E to appear as a US aircraft (yes it is'nt available under default country,you have to change a line in the scripts/data Lua to change this)but the skins available,ie,the standard AF one is very poor and has no markings.
If anyone is able to do this I'd be very grateful indeed,thanks :thumbup:

Would a kind skinner be able to skin an AI F-4E Phantom like the F-4C one below so we can have a Vietnam scenario with a half good looking F-4E.The stock ones are very poor.Now we have the MiG-21 it'll make a nice opponent,in Starway's Vietnam Mod.

Ok,I know this is a MiG-17 F,but I just love this skin from the Vietnam period,and would look great on our MiG-15 Bis used with Starway's Vietnam terrain mod.
If there is anyone out there that could create this I'd be very grateful,thank you.

You are aware that the F-4 is not available for every country? USA has it not, but Germany does for example.

This might be obvious for both of you but I write it here just in case: you can slew the TDC, up and down only.
When the jamming filters are on you can't slew it at all.
This is all I want to do,I want to be able to slew the two horizontal yellow TDC bars over the target,what keys or joystick operations are you doing this with please.
I know I can dip the nose down to achieve this,but have seen xxJohnxx moving these bars to do this on his Youtube tutorial.

Excuse my ignorance guys,how do I slew the TDC bars on the radar please?
I can use the radar quite well,and can achieve what I need to do when using Air To Air IR or Radar missiles,but I would just like to know how to slew these TDC bars.
The answer's probably staring me in the face within the manual,but I can't for the life of me find it.
Have you seen this SU-25 skin ?

Right,I've sussed it what DCS have done is they have used the 'field camo scheme #1(native)' and have then used the markings over the top of that of the 'field cammo scheme #2 (native) 960th Shap'......and it's this what I'd love to have.
So that's why guys thought they'd used it,lol.
