  1. Man.....that is one hell of a skin!!!!!!!!!!!...........thank you very,very much Whiplash,beautiful
  2. Re the MiG......I am really looking forward to seeing a few more skins, but am not sure if this is going to be possible without the template.
  3. I am using Saitek's Combat rudder pedals as part of my set up,and was wondering if you guys are fine tuning your rudder for F-86,I'd be very interested what of these following tweaks you have altered if any, thanks. 1. Deadzone 2. Saturation X 3. Saturation Y 4. Curvature I have at present set mine on 10,100,30,0 but I'm not that sure this is the best set up for the F-86.
  4. .......This is just beautiful Whiplash,I'm lovin' it,thank you sooo much :notworthy:
  5. Any news on the jug?
  6. +1 ...............and another for the MiG,please.
  7. Wow,Whiplash that is very nice mate,woot,what a skin!.........
  8. Excellent job here SkateZilla,.......will this also incorporate the realistic North American F-86 olive green colour on the inside the airbrakes,or does this still have the Beta red colour?
  9. @Shahdoh,Yes,the right leg of the 'R' has just worn away, although the outline is still there........the whole aircraft is quite weathered actually. Here's a close up pic.
  10. Wow........very nice!........are you aware Whiplash that the checkered section at the front is a little wider, and has three sets of checkers along it's width? That's a very nice bare metal finish base mate.
  11. Thanks Whiplash, yes please join the party,it deserves the best  EDIT:I have noticed on closer study that the name of the aircraft 'ALABAMA RAMMER JAMMER' is outlined in a yellow outline just for reference.
  12. Yeah, this is a real beauty Marmusman,if I can help you in anyway you only have to pm me mate
  13. I would like to know how to get smoke to work with the F-86,can anybody help please?
  14. Guys,is there somebody that recreate 2nd Lt Arthur C.Cundy's P-51D,'Alabama Rammer Jammer',from 352nd FS,353rd FG of period October 1944? I know 'Archangel' created a superb later version of this skin, but this is an ealier version. It is quite different,to his later version, for a start it has the black squadron codes on the fuselarge, minus the yellow outline, which was painted/applied only to the later version. The 'B' code has a small dash beneath the letter 'B'on both sides. It also sports the black vertical stripes on the wings and tail,as well as a horizontal black stripe across the tail.On this version he only has the one kill, there is also a text within a yellowish patch aft of the aircraft name on the port side. The B/W pictures at the bottom, show Cundy and other members of 353rd FG crowding around this very said aircraft, note the one kill sign under the opened canopy, the last B/W picture shows Cundy and group standing on the starboard side of this aircraft. I have contacted Archangel but he has not been on here since March so maybe he has gone elsewhere now.I think this is a real beauty of a skin and would love to see it's creation so if there is a skinner out there that could do justice to this aicreaft I would be really grateful, thank you.
  15. Hehe,me too,I'm a far better shot in the P-51
  16. Yup,totally agree,I would purchase a flyable MiG-15Bis for sure,DCS take my money now
  17. Thanks Madcat,yes the problem's my end I'm sure.
  18. Yes,agreed, same for the P-51D and the new F-86,they could all do with a little authenticity :smilewink: especially the F-86 pilot he definatley would've been wearing an oxygen mask at nearly 50,000 ft !
  19. Excuse my ignorance Madcat,I have found the route to my Defualt.Lua folder via (DCS World/Mods/aircrafts/ "aircraft" /Input/ "device" /default.lua). I have then copied and paste the 'Armament Safety Selector' text into my Joystick Default.Lua folder, down at the bottom of the text within it,and then tried to save it as required, but I get 'Access Denied',am I doing something wrong here ?...........my first time editing controller scripts btw, sorry.
  20. Fantastic,thanks Devrim.
  21. I guess we're going nowhere without the F-86 template, presumably this includes the pilot textures somewhere,yes?........excuse my complete ignorance on the subject of skinning
  22. If you can, check the MiG's elevators, they are high up on the tail, whilst the Sabre's are low........but still difficult I know.
  23. Nice landing 159th Viper, and your not using your flaps interesting....I must try this myself, great vids. Just for the record I too don't have a problem with taxiing, taking off and landing the F-86,my biggest problem is trying to find the MiGs,but that's another story.
  24. Another great Canadian skin Jocko,I love all of these,......but I can't wait to see a 51st or a 4th historic Fighter wing Sabre skin emerging from all the talent on here.
  25. Ok,is there a kindly skinner out there that can give us a realistic 1950's Korean War F-86 Pilot skin,I'm sure someone with some talent can better the default one we have at present,so I'm going to start us off with a few pic references. Studying pictures on the web they mainly all have a style of helmet that is mainly white and has like a tan trim as a base,on top of this base,we then see the first personal or custom paint jobs of helmets for pilots emerging. The first G suits appear to come in either olive green or Navy blue colours,so maybe we could have alternative skins to represent the choices, but the classic olive green with a plain white helmet would be a marvelous start to better that boring default one.I think my first picture shown is the classic look. A very critical fault with our default pilot is that he is not wearing an oxygen mask, these aircraft were reaching altitudes of just under 50,000 ft !,my second picture shows the standard green coloured oxygen mask of the period. Anyway as we move closer to skins coming along I thought it would be great to have a more realistic pilot to go with them, what do you think? BTW if you have better pictures than mine, please add to aid our skinners, thanks :smilewink:
