Same thing, I get it on the landing instant mission for the Hornet, just less pronounced. Really annoying.
-
Haven't got to trying the TPOD yet, but I've heard people talk that it's much better on the A-10 than it was in 1.8. Hopefully that means fixing the NAVFLIR will not be hard.
-
Same thing here, FLIR is completely unusable with DS on, and messing with gamma only goes so far and ruins everything else. I just bought it, so I'm moderately bummed out that I can't actually do night attack. Maybe adjusting the contrast on the HUD display would work? Right now it's just like looking through a camera film.

What's the difference between AP standby and AP disconnect?

This is you, correct? [ame] [/ame] Nice flying. Do you have any bombing tables? Yeah, I would really like to hear something from him. He has to know the correct way to use the sight. I don't care particularly about there being a CCIP option, as long as we can use the sight realistically as well. The manual should explain that.
-
Yeah, I wanted to try bombing with those tables, but it looks to be quite difficult with those low speeds and high dive angles. The angle knob in the MIG goes only to 9 degrees if I remember correctly. The proper procedure would be to set the sight in CC/Manual mode, enter the angle from the table for the desired bomb, dive angle, speed and release altitude. You dive to the target and drop the bombs when you hit the altitude listed in the tables.
-
I just started reading a manual a few days ago, and I got really interested in the proper bombing techniques on the MiG, so I was just about to ask about it. I know that the CCIP behavior is completely unrealistic, but is it possible to bomb with realistic procedures right now?
-
So, it's not possible. Well that sucks extremely. I can't imagine it would be difficult to implement, and it would be very useful, especially in navigation challenged aircraft such as the MiG-21. I guess drawing a map on a piece of paper will have to do.
-
Is there any way we can see the mission waypoints for on the F10 map, like they are shown in the briefing? The keyboard is kinda crappy, because it doesn't show the course and the distance, so I can't really navigate using that.

Fine with me, I don't discriminate. Only not interested in WW2 stuff, but if it's coming from Leatherneck, I might change my mind. -

No rush, Cobra. Get them pixels right in CSS. No rush at all. -

Well, the F-14 is a given, the only question is what variant. Still excited though. I just hope that one of the other two is going to be a modernish jet. A Su-24 would kill me with the sexiness. -

If they announce a Su-24, I'm gonna die. -

I'm hoping for a Su-24. The Tomcat is pretty much a given at this point. -
[RESOLVED] Soviet Pilot looking for lost MiG after 1.2.15

Had the same problem, repair worked. -
I'm certainly surprised that it could be an F-14. It wasn't something I expected after the MiG-21. But then again, I see no reason for them to continue playing this game if its not the F-14. Its just setting everybody up for disappointment, and it makes no sense to mess with people like that. They'll just end up pissing off a part of the community greatly. So, I believe it really is an F-14, or its the most pointless trolljob in the history of DCS.

Great find, thank you.
-
What we really need is a car GPS hackish avionics upgrade.
-
Well, that's it. There is only one solution to the problem now. We need a MiG-29.

I don't see any negative g on the accelerometer, and it flames out at the apex of the climb. Here is a track of a quick attempt. I'm a bit unstable during my climb. Flameout .trk
-
Inspired by the Strizhi performance I saw yesterday, I tried some aerobatics in the MiG. I tried doing one of my favorite maneuvers, the bell or the tailslide. The problem is, my engine flames out when I'm at the top of my climb. My question is, is it even possible for a MiG-21 to do a bell, and if so, how?
-
I thought this actually worked for me, until it didn't. Apparently, its intermittent.
-
Yup, that works. Now to only catch that F-5...
-
Additionally, compass/radio switch set to radio. Damn, it doesn't work. Mic switch is Radio PTT on the throttle, correct?
-
Same here. I can't use the radio during cold start too.
