  1. Updated post #471 to reflect the complete set of exposed variables, i.e.: {TXT:vaicompro.playerdata.currentmodule.name} - this string contains the active module name e.g. 'UH-1H' or 'A-10C' {TXT:vaicompro.playerdata.currentmodule.cat} - this string contains the active module category, value is either 'Helicopters' or 'Planes' {TXT:vaicompro.serverdata.currentserver.dcsversion} - string containing DCS version number {BOOL:vaicompro.serverdata.currentserver.vrmode} - value True or False {BOOL:vaicompro.serverdata.currentserver.easycomms} - value True or False {BOOL:vaicompro.serverdata.currentserver.multiplayer} - value True or False
  2. @mosqui,Snacks PM sent. @Blacley It is recommended to use a single profile so you won't need to do any profile switching. You can use the exposed VA variables as above (post #471) if within this single profile you want to make distinctions between aircraft type for your added commands. Alternatively you can create your own set of different profiles for this, however that will require a VA restart each time you switch profile. Also managing multiple profiles is more work. So not recommended. That said, if you have no problem with these things then it's fine to do it that way.
  3. Hey guys For VoiceaAttack use the registered version: http://voiceattack.com/purchase.aspx Well worth it and also needed to run VAICOM PRO.
  4. +++ VA variables +++ On the note of adding your own commands to the VA profile. With the most recent plugin build you can now make use of exposed variables. With these you can put in place your own logic in the VA profile for applying different keybinds and functions across different modules. The exposed variables are (EDIT now the complete list): {TXT:vaicompro.playerdata.currentmodule.name} - this string contains the active module name e.g. 'UH-1H' or 'A-10C' {TXT:vaicompro.playerdata.currentmodule.cat} - this string contains the active module category, value is either 'Helicopters' or 'Planes' {TXT:vaicompro.serverdata.currentserver.dcsversion} - string containing DCS version number {BOOL:vaicompro.serverdata.currentserver.vrmode} - value True or False {BOOL:vaicompro.serverdata.currentserver.easycomms} - value True or False {BOOL:vaicompro.serverdata.currentserver.multiplayer} - value True or False Pro tip to test, add this to one of your TX press/release commands: Other -> Advanced -> Write value to the event log and put {TXT:vaicompro.playerdata.currentmodule.name} in the value field. Have fun :joystick: https://www.vaicompro.com/downloads.html
  5. @Snacks Yes if you want to use commands for cockpit control stuff etc. you can simply add them in the VA profile. The 'Add New' button in the Keywords Editor is there so that a new alias can be added for the selected communications command segment. For example select 'Request Vector to Bullseye' from dropdown -> Add New -> change 'Request Vector to Bullseye1' into 'Request Alpha Check' -> Apply -> FINISH steps to update profile. You have now added a new command phrase that you can use with your AWACS communications. Hope this clarifies. Grtz Springfield vs. Enfield: good catch! Should be Springfield of course, I'll update that.
  6. Hey Mojo - just replace your existing Chatter.dll with the new one from the website.
  7. +++ Chatter themes update 2.5.1 +++ Chatter themepack 2.5.1 is now available with fixed WWII theme. Enjoy! https://www.vaicompro.com/downloads.html
  8. @ Blacley Yes you can, there are various ways in which you can set this up for your system. In the User Manual page 20 you'll find some notes on this. @Snacko
  9. It doesn't show the build number :) Replace your dll with latest build, uploaded just today. https://www.vaicompro.com/downloads.html No option switching needed. Grtz
  10. @Snacko sure no problem - if you get the latest build from the website it has this feature. https://www.vaicompro.com/downloads.html Cheers:pilotfly:
  11. @Rangoon No worries. It is normal that a JSON object is sent to DCS on init. That it triggers a menu however points to a problem with your lua code and/or an interfering app. Let's clear your lua code and check your logs. PM with instructions sent.
  12. @Rangoon I cannot reproduce what you describe: looks like you need to check your config for something that may inadvertently trigger the menu. PM sent. @Snacko Sounds like you need to carefully check your install i.e. lua files. PM sent. EDIT: solved. @Blacley Yes. Grtz
  13. Cheers Franky - PM sent.
  14. Hey Mac - Yes I noticed the field looks blank these days (it looks like a minor VA GUI glitch) but all functionality is still there as normal. Just follow the FINISH steps i.e Crtl-A, Delete, Ctrl-V, and OK and the profile is correctly updated with the new keywords. Hope this helps.
  15. @Cartok Thanks! You can put your own commands in Additional category but you can make your own categories also, it doesn't matter. Regarding module-specific commands the short answer is not yet, for the moment you need to would use the same keybinds across modules. On my to-do list for future updates is exposing the active module name as a VoiceAttack variable so you can make your own commands module- dependent. So not there yet, but on the list!
  16. Hi Brass, You can add those by editing the TX1 Press and/or TX1 Release command in the VA profile. When you edit these commands in VA you'll see that there is a 'start/stop listening' and plugin call action already listed. You add your keypresses or other additonal actions you want to use there. If you need more help with this feel free to send me a PM. Grtz Verstuurd vanaf mijn SM-G935F met Tapatalk
  17. Hey guys To uninstall: 1) Reset page -> select all -> reset. 2) Remove VAICOMPRO folder from VA Apps. 3) Done.
  18. +++ 2.5.1 available +++ Hi all As a reminder to existing 2.5.0 users: latest version update 2.5.1 can now be downloaded from the website. https://www.vaicompro.com/downloads.html Carefully follow the included installation instructions. This update features Cargo/Descent support, improved F10 menu options and extended callsigns range for JTAC communications. As Easter Egg the latest build now also features an improved PTT page with automatic refresh function. https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3433007&postcount=399 Happy Easter! /Hollywood
  19. You'll see this message when you've changed profile. VAICOM PRO uses only a single profile and switching is not necessary. Select the correct profile i.e. 'VAICOM PRO for DCS World', restart VA and things will be back to normal. https://www.vaicompro.com/faq.html No need to repeat the training. Cheers Verstuurd vanaf mijn SM-G935F met Tapatalk
  20. What's interesting though is that setting does not remove these dialog tab bars that you sometimes see pop up top left of the screen. I may have a look at some point to see if these can be hacked to invisible also. Verstuurd vanaf mijn SM-G935F met Tapatalk
  21. Subtitles you mean? You can switch those on/off in DCS options - audio section. Verstuurd vanaf mijn SM-G935F met Tapatalk
  22. @las you should find some useful ideas in this thread https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=134767. Grtz
  23. You need to have keyboard shortcuts enabled in VA (click on the keyboard icon in the VA window if it has a red sign). Also you must have imported the correct profile i.e. 'VAICOM PRO for DCS World' as per the install instructions. To import profiles you'll need to have the VA registered version.
  24. @Hellride OK Uzi as JTAC callsign works fine here during testing. Just to check are you on FREE or PRO version. Can you try a few other missions to test and catch me on PM to narrow it down. Cheers EDIT: Forgot to mention one thing, existing users need to go through the FINISH steps after install to update the VA profile (manual page 28 ). You may have done this already but just in case. I'll update the install notes.
  25. +++ Release update 2.5.1 +++ Hey guys Happy to announce that VAICOM PRO version 2.5.1 can now be downloaded from the website: https://www.vaicompro.com/downloads.html It features some significant updates based on the wishlist posted earlier https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3427852&postcount=355 and quite a few minor code improvements have also been included. Details are in the updated User Manual. Descent and Cargo flows are now supported for helos, specific menu functions were added (see page 20), there's an improved F10 import function and no less than 21 additional callsigns can now be used for JTAC (page 45). Existing (2.5.0) users please carefully check the included installation notes: for this new installation you need to first remove your current installation folder. - This update will reset your keywords database. - If you want to keep a reference to your old database you can use the Export function in the Keywords Editor. - PRO users will not need to re-enter license key information after the update. - You will not lose any speech recognition (training profile) information with this update. - If you don't want to re-download the Chatter.dll file, make a back-up copy first and put it back later in the Extensions subfolder. - Remove your existing VAICOM PRO installation folder and it contents completely from the VoiceAttack Apps folder. - Then proceed with the regular plugin installation steps for the 2.5.1 plugin. - After install go through the FINISH steps to update the VA profile (manual page 28 ). Happy flying!
