It's a MS Windows thing. Carefully follow the steps noted in below link: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_vista-windows_programs/speech-alternatives-panel-comes-up-every-time/985becaa-a14d-4741-a16b-485026081b08 Also carefully inspect the input levels in VA window while speaking, making sure it uses the correct input device. The VA meter should show a wide range of deflection. EDIT: VA input device is set in Recognition tab of VA options window, also there (un)check the Disable Adaptive Recognition and Disable Acoustic Echo Cancellation options to see if it makes a difference. If you have a brand new mic it's advisable to take the general Windows recognition training first so the engine can get used to your voice in combination with this new microphone. Control Panel\Ease of Access\Speech Recognition This will greatly reduce the number of these 'helpful' Windows alternates popups during Training Mode (which you can just cancel btw).

@BlacleyCole Not sure I follow. The Huey is no different from any other module, like most helos it has a single-PTT config. Select the TX node you want to use with the dropdown on the PTT page. Details in the manual. VoiceAttack has the option to copy and paste commands between profiles so if you want you can use that.

Yes for voice recognition use a dedicated and well-positioned microphone or headset. Any off-the-shelf basic headset of medium quality (e.g. Logitech or similar) is suitable.

The following items have been put on the feature wishlist and will be looked into 1) Extended JTAC callsigns range support 2) Support for Cargo flows 3) Additional F10 menu support I'm sure there's more, but these will be prioritized. Regarding multiplayer in general note that server administrators can set 'player export' to disabled, which prevents apps like e.g. simshaker and VAICOM PRO from functioning. A DCS update resets the lua code from 2 lua files. Normally i.e. if you have an automatic install it will restore this code automatically after a VA restart. If you're on a manual install look on page 33 for instructions on how to put back the lua code. Verstuurd vanaf mijn SM-G935F met Tapatalk

@las You see this message when you have switched profiles in VoiceAttack. VAICOM PRO works with just one profile and switching is not needed. Select the correct profile i.e. 'VAICOM PRO for DCS World', restart VoiceAttack and things will be back to normal. https://www.vaicompro.com/faq.html You need to run VoiceAttack version 1.6.7 or higher: 1.6.9 is the latest http://voiceattack.com/ PM sent. @las OK thanks for clarifying. Have you checked out the 'Options' voice command yet? As in: 'AWACS,...options.'. This command is there to do just that, i.e. it allows you to peek at the menus to see which commands are available. Have a look please and I'll PM you later. Grtz

Sounds like some pretty useful stuff. Let me have a look and get back to you: it may be a matter of having to force the menu back to root state first i.e. by a combination sequence of F12/F11 sends as done in VAICOM 2.0 profiles (perhaps look there for inspiration). Just to note that Cargo flow commands are also planned to be included natively in upcoming plugin updates. Grtz

@Bluethornton Cheers, good to hear you got it solved. @lasvideo Suggest to inspect your audio input device settings (routing, enhancements settings, AGC) and levels carefully. The most common cause for recognition problems is insufficient signal strength. The VA audio bar is a good indicator of input level: it should show a wide range deflection while speaking. Also make sure VA input is not enabled during Training Mode, see user manual. Feel free to PM me if more help needed.

@Bluethornton Kindly note that VAICOM 2.0 is now superseded by the VAICOM 2.5 (FREE/PRO) plugin. Quax I just did a quick test with Red Flag campaign to test and my wingmen respond just fine. There could be something else in play in your case, especially if you don't even get a response using menus. Will send a PM: let's check some details.

Optionally you can use 'Operate Dial' to have VAICOM PRO select the correct radio automatically.

@SneakyBastd I figure you went through Windows' standard recognition training: you'll need to take the plugin keywords training as well. Look in the User Manual for details on Training Mode, PM me if more help needed. @Havoc65 A few commands are not fully implemented yet by ED atm. I'll run some more checks on the Request Refuel command to see if there are any missing parameters.

Also since latest DCS update experiencing a hard crash each time I try to join a MP server. NB regular DCS 2.5 OpenBeta, not on Steam. Single player all working fine without issues. Crash log attached, hope this will be helpful. EDIT: problem seems specific to Caucasus theater: no crash when joining servers running Nevada or Normandy. All crashes initiate with this line in the log: ERROR SECURITYCONTROL: Manifest hash check failed for file 'models/2c6m.edm'. NB repairing Models folder and manifest file have had no effect. EDIT: unclear what caused this but now resolved by full DCS re-install. Cheers dcs.log-20180221-100200.zip

@sze5003 All right thanks for updating. You can address multiple JTACs by involving the Select command as in 'Axeman,... Select' for compatible JTAC callsigns listed in the reference tables. Details in the User Manual. Cheers

@sze5003 You'll need to turn off the Import F10 Menu feature for this mission as it contains an incompatible F10 menu entry. Disable the checkbox, reset the database once more and then try again.
