  1. Hi, been figuring out adding some authentic chatter on 2 frequencies in a mission for the Apache. Having some issues that I suspect may be more module related as opposed to not doing it right. I have been getting help in the mission editor section, but seeing as now it may be something Apache related, I am asking here to see if anyone can help. Basically, ME transmissions on specific freq's can be heard without tuning the radios to the required channel and then they loop on top of themselves. Original thread with more detail is here, with relevant information for this query at the end: Are there any known issues with radios synching between front and back seats for example?
  2. Hi thanks for checking back in, I do have updates.... Firstly, to get it working I used a zone, for each, covering a large area, a time more than 10 seconds condition and got each transmitting on AM on 124 and 30.00 frequencies, using a loop as the sample audio was only 30 minutes or so. So I guess a combo of both Razor & Sirrahs, as both of their replies gave various options. So the mission editor mechanics side is understood and works for me, thanks. However, I now have issues that may not be related to the ME side of things and more to the module ? ( Just my guess, due to the number of radios etc) What happens is that despite setting the tapes to play on separate frequencies, you can hear them, without tuning to the required freq........also, after a while, ( we played for a couple of hours, so the loop would have happened 2 or 3 times....) they seem to be superimposed on themselves, as though the loop had doubled up up the playback, slightly out of synch. Not sure what would cause that and why> I uploaded the mission to we transfer as its 60 meg or so, here is the link if you want to check: https://we.tl/t-huIazQmNMf PS: I should add that yesterday when I tested, at first, it did work as it should to start with. I had to tune to the freq to hear the transmission. Today, it did not work like that......?????
  3. Thanks, I was aware of the down long command, but that means you have to command and carry out the search again....which seems a bit stupid when its already been done and all you want to do is get the list back up again. ( In fact why does it even dissappear? ) I thought that there may be another way to simply get the list back again. If that is the only way to do it and the search and list goes after one shot, then that seems to me, not very intuitive......
  4. I have swapped the seat out to my other simpit and it works as it should do. I have started with a clean export .lua and removed and re installed sim shaker software. It still does not work. Its showing up as connected and working in windows device manager and the software runs when DCS is running. I am stumped......
  5. The FCR is most definitely NOT the eye of Sauron we perhaps thought it might be! Non moving targets need to be within 6km and even then, no guarantee they will all be picked up, or picked up at all. I have no idea how realistic this is or what circumstances apart from range, limit the effectivness of the FCR
  6. Hoping someone can give a quick heads up to this: When using George from the back seat and he produces a target list, once you give consent and he engages a target, the list disappears……what’s the quickest way to get it back again? I have only been able to make this happen by getting him to search again. Why does it not stay up ? Thank you!
  7. DCS huh! I editted my last post as its still not right.....
  8. Yaaay! That must have been it! It was on....which was strange as I always have it set to off...maybe got changed in an update...anyway, thanks to all, its working, both chatters are playing! Out of interest, why would easy comms cause only one transmission to play? Edit: There is still a remaining issue. I am in an Apache and when I swap the frequencies, I can still hear the transmission. I have ground set to transmit on the JTAC freq, 30.00 & air on the Allied flights freq which is 124. Any ideas why this might be ? It starts off OK, I can swap the freq in and out and the transmission stops and starts. It seems to go wrong after a while and especially if I switch to the CPG
  9. Thanks, very helpful...checking what I have done, and the instrcutions above, I am almost there, but not quite.....In my scenario, I want the JTAC channel to have the ground troops chatter going on in the background, so you hear it only when you tune in to the JTAC, which in this case is 30. Same with air chatter on 127.5. What happens is you can hear the transmission on 30 ( even though the radios are not tuned to 30.00, but 30.015 & 30.02.....why is this?) And you cant hear the air transmission on 127.5, whic is what I have set. So one is working, not the other..... I guess you need to see what I have done, so I have removed the large files so I can post easily and replaced with some 2mb sound samples, so you have 2 quite different music samples which should play ( I have tested, on the ground sample plays, same as when I use the proper files) Both transmissions are set up exactly the same. Please would you mind checking and putting me out of my misery? Been frigging around with this all day..... Thank you! Georgian hammer - Test.miz
  10. Thanks for teh replies....., the power light is green, not red and its on. Sound output is set to USB, as usual, so I think thats correct. The test vibe motors should work whatever the output, I would imagine? But it does not....
  11. Hi, I am adding radio chatter to a mission. Is it a must to have a zone ? Can I do it with just using "time more"? I downloaded some chatter and the instructions say to create a zone , 200 radius, which is pretty small. And nowhere do you have to make any units go into it etc. The placement of the zone does not seem to be referred to either. It looks like you need to choose a zone in the actions, but why if there are no other conditions attached to the zone? How does this work? Thanks (Included the instrcutions from the chatter) Also, is there any restriction on how many of these chatters you can have going and do they each need a separate zone etc? In my mission, I wanted background air ops related chatter when you tune to the in flight frequency and background ground ops chatter when I tune to the JTAC frequency I tried adding 2 in the same way and only one seemed to work..... Install Read Me.txt
  12. Hi, I recently got a bit of hardware that needed DCS bios to work. I had some bother setting it up, but managed eventually. Not sure if co incidental, but since then my jet seat has stopped working. Everything seems as it should be, the software starts, in the sim, I have the settings options and everything up, in windows, its showing as a device and working correctly, in the settings GUI, when I press test motors or massage, nothing happens. The DCS bios wrote a line to my export .lua, above the simshaker entry, I have moved this line further down the list ( enclosed my export .lua file ) Anyone got any ideas? Cant be without my jet seat! Export.lua
  13. Hi BigNewey, could you explain the difference between using this and using choosing the oculus xr runtime in the oculus desktop app settings please? Is this something you should use instead of or in conjunction with ?
  14. Thanks both….. however there is still no way anyone knows of making the burst of shelling that occurs when the “shelling zone” is activated occur over a longer time period and with some better spacing between shots? Currently, around 40 shells all land within approx 10 seconds…….which looks great, but blink and you miss it …… this must be coded somewhere? Can anyone point me to where?
  15. Ex ellent! Please ping me a message if/ when you do this!
