That sucks really, I have many campaigns and I dont think I have ever gotten further than 0ne or two missions in....granted, I fly mostly MP, but there are times I fancy flying solo and cant stand the grind of re flying the whole friggin mission several times to get past a certain point....I can do one or two re tries then start to lose the will to live........ I know I am missing out, but having a way to even start again half way or just at the likeliest fail point would save a huge amount of frustration for , I am sure, MANY people........

As title, tried to use this new feature for the first time today, saved the mission, but when I loaded it, it just had me started again from scratch..... Is it working?

I did look before I posted, but could not see anything about exclusions. I include screengrabs from the various pages etc in my settings/ security etc

Having trouble finding that in settings.....whats the correct place to find that ? In the windows defender allow an app through firewall, it only lets me choose files, not a folder

Here is the requested autoupdate log. I have done a slow repair, although the install is only one day old...... I added the DCS .exe in bin-mt to the defender allowed apps, is that correct? autoupdate_log.txt

Thanks for the quick reply...I dont have anti virus. I chose cancel and reselected the F14 to download and install. I get this error message. Attached latest log file dcs.log

I am installing DCS on a new PC. I have installed the core game, the Nevada map, the F18, the F4 & Syria. I am trying to install Afghanistan, Germany, the F14 and the Harrier. I have set the download going twice now and come back to the machine and its not installed the 4 modules. I tried just installing the Tomcat, I get an updater message saying its found 4700 files in downloads totaling 216GB that it does not need and gives me the option to delete or cancel. I already chose "delete" once and started the install progress again..... If I cancel, the install just stops. Not sure how to proceed....it seems to have downloaded the files needed, but cant install the modules? Cheers

OK, I turned on quad views companion and activated the 2 purple dots....these show in game, does this mean it is working ? Or can they show independently of the app working? I ask, as I dont really notice much of a discernible area of lower resolution at the periphery of the view......but the centre is lovely and clear... Before, the low res area was pretty noticeable . Thanks Qcumber, OK, I have opened the app on my phone.....( Literally never used it since I got the headset!!) I turned it on ( it was off....) Should I re install quad views? anything else I need to do? Cheers, Mark

The most frustrating thing is that any threads like this get simply ignored by ED, so all we have is speculation. A practice that is repeated across the board. Compare this with say the detailed and immediate feedback you get from independent devs like Heatblur……..

Hi, I know you can drag it, but thats not practical when you are in the groove, which is the only time it appears. I want to permanently reposition it. I found this thread: I tried altering the values of X & Y from 4 & 2 to 2 and 1, but could see no discernable difference. Any ideas why this did not work? Would ideally like the overlay to appear right under my HUD as its difficult to keep my scal centred with off to the left as far as it is in the standard position. Thanks
