  1. Hi Max, OK< that makes sense regarding the comms menu. However, why wont the radio menu appear then when I key the switch? Here are my bindings: And how would I bind my controls etc so that the radio menu appears when I press the transmit key? Or failing that, how do I make the radio menu appear? Thanks!
  2. Hi, I am cross p[osting this here as well, as while the issue only impacts negatively when I fly the Tomcat, it is present across other modules as well, including core DCS modules such as the Hornet. Text from OP is here: Hi, just started flying the mighty Tomcat and have an issue getting the comms menu up.....On most other modules there is a radio transmit keybind for each radio ( UHF & VHF) that also calls the radio menu....not so the Tomcat it appears. So I am trying to bind "Communications menu" to another key - which I can do fine in the controls options, however, when I press the assigned key in game, no menu appears. I have checked in my other modules ( F18 & F5) and while they all have a combined transmit and call radio menu command, I have the same issue whereby just calling the comms menu using a bound button WONT bring the menu up - the only way is to use the combined call button. The F16 however, despite having a combined radio call / Transmit command, does enable me to get the comms menu up from a separate bound button. Is this a Tomcat thing ? Obviously it only affects me in the Tomcat as in all the other jets I can get the menu up using the transmit / call radio menu key. In the Tomcat, I am stuck with being unable to access it!
  3. Hi mate, thanks, but in my case, no matter what key I bind the menu to, or what button press, it wont appear in game......

  5. Thanks Burt, will look at that....I have had the controls inputs window open while this is going on, to check for spurious inputs and could not see anything. I will try disconnecting the centre stick, but it has been working perfectly with both installed for a while now......
  6. Yup, tried that ...... no workee....You can clear and set the pitch no problem in DCS options and the pitch inputs show in the window when you input them..... I did find on a couple of occasions if I tried persistently in game to pitch up or down, I would get the occasional input accepted, but just once
  7. Hi, as title, it would be really great if i could organise my kneeboards with sections or chapters with persistent markers that carry over , rather than having to scroll through loads of pages each flight to pin them as needed........ Surely that cannot be that difficult? I would also be interested in why its not possible currently if anyone knows...... Thanks!
  8. < yes, just confirmed this......on close re watching, at 1.45, when he says make sure the fuze is instantaneous, he does not click the ODU, rather the manual fuzing panel. ( Ithought he used the ODU and did that, hence my issue) If thats how you do it, it all works fine....... Maybe worth noting for people that if you use the ODU fuzing option, it wont let you select TGTS afterwards....... Many thanks!
  9. Hi Zildac, yes, thats what I am doing......a buddy has suggested that if you use the ODU to first enter fuzing etc, then this may happen, but I have not had time to try this solution (IE, enter targets THEN fuzing options - I did it the other way around....) Will try first thing tomorrow, and report back. Thanks!
  10. Me again.....sorry, but every weapon I try and learn on every jet, I get issues following guides and instrcutions...dunno why! In this case, I am following trickers JDAM ripple attack guide here: All goes well until the point at 3.19 where he sayas click J82 again. He gets TGTS in the ODU and can select each of the numbered targets he has just designated, however when I press J82, I just get the FUZE, SAFE, INST & D1 options in the ODU.....and cant make the TGTS appear..... Why is this please?
  11. Hi, I have several BFM training mission from user files and while they are good in their own way and each have some very good features, frustratingly , I would like to combine elements from various of them into one. The main addition I would like is to be able to add background chatter, which I have in one or two of them, to the others? Is this easy? I unpacked a mission file using 7zip, that had teh chatter, but could see no sound files etc anywhere. I should add, I know my way around the ME in a basic fashion but complex stuff is a little over my head.....is it fairly easy to find and copy in the chatter files from one to another? Finally, what do you guys have in opinions on BFM training missions as to whats the best? Like Banklers F18 carrier mission is the go to for training your carrier landings, I wonder what the accepted "best BFM" trainer is? Ideally I would like some background chatter, voice acting and maybe scoring? And options for engagemnets etc. Does one have it all ? Thanks
  12. Hi, I wondered if anyone has an idea what might be the cause of an issue hat has cropped up with my FSSB base. Was working fine, then in flight, I lost the pitch axis. I checked in HID tool and inputs there show up fine, just in the sim, I only have yaw working. If I use my F18 centre stick, it works fine…….. any ideas? Thanks
  13. Perfect, thanks Harker…..I had tried that first before posting, but minus the description .lua file bit, which was why it did not work obviously!!!
  14. Hi Harker, as I seem to only be able to choose one dropdown option in the special menu and want to run this mod with another cockpit mod, please could you explain how to do this? Many thanks!
  15. I am sure there a huge number of skins, mods, etc that myself and loads of other users simply are never aware of or find, because of the lack of any kind of library filing etc for them……for example today, I had to try and find something in nearly 3000 single player missions…….. Is there any easy way of sorting these for making finding and using them easier?
  16. Is there a link up buddy? Thanks so much for this, your work makes Caucasus the best visually……
  17. I have another query......... Each station needs to be programmed individually for Mode, fusing and release type, correct? So if you had 4 bombs on 4 stations, all with differing fuzing, modes etc, you would need to do 4 separate programming inputs? Hopefully this will be the last ! Thanks
  18. Thanks, i presume in your example, that would be 8 individual pickles? Would you use the GTY option if you wanted to pickle 4 bombs at once?
  19. Great, I am getting there now! One final clarification if I may...In the scenario of 8 bombs on 4 racks, lets assume they are all Pre Planned. I can only drop 4 in one pass. So for 8 different targets, I would have 4 bombs using PP1 and 4 using PP2 ......... Station 1 Bomb 1 PP1, Station 1 Bomb 2 PP2, Station 2 Bomb 1 PP1, Station 2 Bomb 2 PP2.......etc. In this scenario, how would I set the Quantity ? 4 bombs to drop first pass, one from each station, so would I box all stations for each pass? This would also be the same if there was one bomb on each station, correct? Thank you for your patience!
  20. Hi Harker, thanks for the quick reply. It partially answers my query, however, I still dont understand why there is 6 options? When PP1 can be various different co ordinates. Like in your example in the answer - PP1 for 3 is different from that for 7. What are the numbers after the PP for then ? Why do you need another 5 options? As to my mind, you would simply call them PP ( Pre planned points) without the numeric after and if you had 4, they would be 1 through 4, if you had 2, 1 through 2 etc. So each bomb can have its own target... Say I had a double rack on station 2 and wanted to program the two bombs for 2 different targets, I can step between each station using the step button, but how do I program each bomb individually? Would this be where the PP2 option would be used? Sorry, if I am missing something obvious here.....!! For example, say I took 4 J82's.....I wanted to use 2 for two differing pre planned targets and save the other two for possible targets of opportunity - how should I best program and allocate mode
  21. Hi, I am having a little trouble getting my head around how this works........ In the MFD, there are PP1 through to PP6 available. Following Chucks guide, he uses PP1 ( Page 399) for 4 separate targets on 4 separate stations. What does PP1 signify in this case? And why would he not use any of the other other PP slots? Why are they there, if you dont need more than one for 4 bombs on 4 different targets? How does it work if you have 2 bombs on a rack on each station? Thanks!
