Did that - both engines still started successfully. Goddamit, can't be so hard to f*ck with that engine start up and break it! Haha. :D As I said - as soon as it happens again I will post a track. :)

Problem is - in the third mission of the campaign I don't get a F10 option. :-/ There is no other. I know what you are talking about but I don't see it. I just came home so I'll restart the game to see what happens... Sometimes radios are buggy.

Hey folks! Basically it says it in the thread title. I am in mission 3 of the campaign and I see a few enemy fighter jets and a few bomber jets in the air. I also see some F16s and such on my own side. Is there any way to tell them "hey folks there is an enemy bandit not even 10 miles from me, mind taking him out"?

If I throttle up I end up pulling the RPM DOWN. I will post a track where I sabotage the start up procedure and then re-try, I'll show you guys in a sec... EDIT: Ok, wow. I tried to sabotage it 3 times now by giving throttle before the engine was actually up, but since the ignition already happens very soon the engine still flips on. I dont know how to reproduce this. If it ever happens again I will share the track for sure! I think what happens if I can't get it past 30% is that the 30% rpm are only recieved because of the APUs bleed air and there is no ignition happening. Or something, I dont know. :-(

Yeah they were. My re-start try routine was: turn off engines, turn off boost pumps. Wait 1 min, turn on pumps, make sure throttle is at 0%, re-try to start engines with RALT+Home etc, like in the tutorial. They still were stuck at 30% rpm. :-/

Guys, I really am new to the A10 and am happy that I grasped it's functionality and weapon systems. Now the motor block is waay to high for me at the moment and I didn't understand half of what I read on these 2 pages... :-/ I have an un-successful engine start here... I think I touched the throttle and pushed it up a bit by accident while the left engine was starting up. Now it hangs at 30% "Percent RPM" and I have no idea what to do except for getting a new plane... What do I have to do? Can you help me out? Thank you a lot in advance.

Mh, the keys only shift my view to the mirrors, they dont actually disable/flip the mirrors. :-/

Thank you Sokol. I think I am going for the Saitek X52. Magnet mod?... Stronger magnets? Also I just tested my current joystick with the software you posted screenshots of... If anyone is interested in these softwares which show you the exact precision of your joystick, here: Sokol, I hope you're fine with me posting this. But this is really good stuff. :)

X52 is not as precise though and I would never consider using 2 joysticks, that is just crazy! :D My table barely has enough space for keyboard & 1 joystick. So guys... Saitek X52 "normal" vs. Saitek X52 "PRO" (whatever the heck that means) vs Thrustmaster 6000M. :-/

Well if the resolution and quality of the detector on the throttle is good enough - it will be alright, Sometimes I try to use cirurgic precision for very precise speed holding but then my throttle jumps around randomly. :-/ It can only get better.

Guys, what about the TrustMaster T.6000M ? I hear it is very very good, very nice quality & precision. Does not wear out over time. It is also fairly cheap. It has enough buttons for me. I don't want a super-duper complex HOTAS system. All I want is a decent joystick. :) The throttle on that looks kind of small... I wonder if it's still precise? Anybody used it here? Doing air refueling with a jumpy piece of shit hardware that mine has become over time... Is a PAIN and impossible with all the throttle jumps. How is the tension on the spring? I prefer a tighter stick...

Hey folks! Currently I fly with the Saitek Cybork Evo. Too bad though that it's potis were calibrated sloppily. In my throttle i have a nice dead zone around 45-55% and the axes are not properly scaled. Also with some axes sometimes I reach 100% by being at 80% (seen in the Saitek Software). I am looking for a new joystik. I would spend up to 80-100€ on it, I dont really want to spend much more... I am looking for the standart features but not less than my current joystick has. That is: -Joystick rotation (rudder) -at least or more than 12 buttons -if possible wireless or with LONG cable (2.5-3.5m) -a coolie hat (the one you use with your thumb for camera movements/HOTAS commands) -nice throttle which is not "loose" but has a nice tight feel to it I read something about the "Hall Effect" for the axes, I know the method. Is it the only way to get really precise joysticks? Or can potis do just fine? I am not sure if I will be able to get a decent joystick for that kind of money because the joystick business is a small one and the companies just keep the prices high... :-/ However guys, if you have any tips for me - go ahead! Thanks in advance!

Hey folks! Today I found out that you can do: -Select your MAV D -TGP on target, point track, make SPI -MAV slave to SPI -MAV TMS up short to lock on -fire AWESOME! :) But this only works out if the mav has enough "contrast" to actually lock on. That may require you to come closer to the target than you want. The maverick H also has this issue, but it has the advantage of the force correlate mode. So you can basically say "hey, even if you dont have a lock on an object, just shoot that spot". You just hold your boat switch in center for 1 sec and then press either TMS up short or TMS down short, one of both I think... Not sure now. But this way you can fire off MAVs way further away than the dynamic launch zone shows. I love it. Question - will force correlate track a point if it's moving? :-/ If yes, I will from now on only load MAV 65H from now on and rock with them! :D

Hey folks! I am new to the DCS universe and am loving the A-10 for 3 days straight now. I have looked into the sounds folder and as I assume - modding sound is fairly easy? Just replace the sounds & back up the originals? I wonder where the config file is that points to the sounds. I would like to exchange the GAU 8 bullet impact sounds from dull "plum plum" to "bang ratata" :D. Thanks in advance for any tip. :)

I would suggest to anybody who has not done it yet - put your location into your profile so we can easily see if you live in EU or US or whatever area with crazy timezones. :D

Hey folks! I got the game... 1 and a half days ago. I finshed all the tutorials, only navigation (custom WPs, everything custom in the CDU) gives me some headache. But that can be read in the manual if really needed. I also finished 2 instant action missions and landed properly somewhere with my wingman. :) I am absolutely amazed and blown away by this simulator. It is so much fun to do all the stuff you do. Right now what I am looking for are some buddies to play with. All the internet servers are locked and no info on TS\Vent servers is avaible. I am sure I can google that but that will be a last resort. I am sure that playing some missions with some friendly people who really know their shit will really lift the quality of my own "gameplay". There is still so much to learn and I can't wait to find out about all the other stuff. I am basically looking for someone to be "his wingman" for a while. I am avaible on Skype with my nickname without the 1702. I also have xfire but i rarely use it. I would use it more for this purpose though. Thanks a lot in advance.

I think I am fine for now. Now I understand the system of modifiers and buttons etc. I understand that HOTAS is really important. I will find out which functions are the most important and map them out accordingly. :) It's a HUGE HUGE bummer that you can't change your settings in game... Is there any chance that there is going to be any patch that will allow that?
