  1. D'oh, I should have thought of that. It looked a bit too "nice" for that though.
  2. Weird! I'm guessing it's the beginning of "WARNING" and underneath, the beginning of "MISSION" or maybe "MISSILE"?... Some strange kind of texture corruption?
  3. Hold down right shift and right control, and use the keypad / to move your head backwards. If you don't have a keypad, that won't work, but you'll have a lot of other problems too... Or you could probably move the throttle forward before starting the APU, set the radio, then move it back.
  4. Agreed. I think it's great too :)
  5. You can use the quick mission generator to make free-flight type missions with random time, start location, etc... Just open the advanced view and disable all the friendly/enemy units.
  6. Can we get more detail about this please?
  7. Similar thread about A-10 http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=67076
  8. Modifiers (left side of modifier screen) are momentary. Did you add it as a switch instead?
  9. You can't click the HOTAS controls though, and there's a lot of those! So you'd need to have those mapped to something or other.
  10. Wouldn't force feedback be a good way of "presenting" this?
  11. I've been looking recently for joystick options, and reading this forum to try to get some useful opinions about them too. I had come to the conclusion that a frankenstick like that might be a good way of combining the strengths of two different sticks, and now I find it has been done before. Wasn't such a crazy idea after all then ;)
  12. Yes, very useful whether you consider it a "simulation", a "game", or even just a "software" - all could be improved greatly with such an option.
  13. Took me a bit of trying to work out the autopilot too. The autopilot status is shown at the bottom left of the HUD, it shows the current mode when it's turned on, and nothing when it's turned off (IIRC).
  14. This is kind of nice, but unfortunately doesn't work quite the way I'd expect... The cursor moves around the screen as well as panning, so you can easily end up with the cursor being at the left of the screen while you are looking to the right, for example, which is odd. It also makes clicking on small things rather tricky. I'd find it more natural to have the cursor locked in the middle of the screen, controlling the view like a FPS or similar, with the clickable item always being in the middle of the screen.
  15. Never mind that it costs several times what the software did, too... :music_whistling: Perhaps if I get really hooked... And it'd only do the HOTAS stuff anyway, which leaves a lot still to configure... Unless you click on things, of course, which brings me on to my next problem... Can you control the "camera" with the mouse? I'd like something along the lines of... Hold down right-mouse-button to pan/tilt, scrollwheel to zoom, and hold mousebutton 4 or something to "shift", if you know what I mean. Any way to do this?
