Thoose aren't the right terms, IMO "my missiles are screwed up" fits better... and for a sims that has in the title the words "modern air combat" missiles don't working properly is a major flaw. Anyway if you look in the first page i've posted some of the things that for me are very annoing. Also i would add to them that the editor is quite painful to use if you want to plan complex missions and the AI many times takes stupid initiatives.

Goya, i quote theese point 100% As you said there are others thinking that way. GG, WTF, i bought FC, there are MANY bugs, so if i want a patch that (maybe) will correct them i must buy BS? Well, it's not for the bucks, BUT this way of selling software is really nice :disgust:

I really don't know (obviously) what there's under the code of LOMAC, anyway i suspect that place an IFF cue i.e. would not be so time consuming. Also, trimming the missiles capabilities with the current model would not solve the problems on its roots but at least (IMHO) improve the situation. Then we would have a nice time waiting BS. Thats the point. All the gizmos that will come will BS will be surely welcome: i've said that i'm not very interested in the KA-50, but i must agree with you that under the helo there are many improvements that will be at the base of the future addons too. Also an official word on what will be and what will not be in BS (also outside the helo) from ED will be welcome... :music_whistling:

No question... Anyway i would like to point out this sim has some issues that should have been hotfixed a long ago. Yes, because that aren't things like trimming the ability of a 2S6 shooting at an incoming Maverick or tuning the warhead of some stupid weapon carriable only by AI planes... there are things like the HSI (or the russian equivalent) not working outside the NAV mode causing you hard times if you want to know where you are while engaging someone, to say one. I can add the dumb missiles, the IFF on the 15, etc... Thoose thing have, in my opinion, a great impact on the simulation, expecially if you want to SIMULATE and not only PLAY. That's not asking to have something similar to F4AF in LOMAC, it's just asking to fix the major bugs. From the user point of view (and more precisely form the one of the user that use NATO planes) the ED table of priorities is quite hard to understand. At some time they stopped the developement of FC and put all the efforts in the KA-50. Stopping the developement it's ok after some time (after all two patches were released, and i'm not saying thoose were useless, in fact many things were corrected), but leaving that sort of crap (some of them since 1.0) in my opinion NO. Also this behaviour could be acceptable if BS was released soon after the 1.12 but now it's taking ages, so in the meantime we have to live with the crap. I'm gonna buy BS surely not for the KA-50 but just to get (or at least i'm hoping to) some fixes for the things i've listed. Sorry for complaining, that's just my toughts... Bye!

Good to know the new 120. That will really help waiting for the fighter project ;)

Note even on the weapon side? I'm paraying for some improvements over radar missiles. Also placing an X on the hud when you lock a friend with the eagle i think that wouldn't be very time expensive and would be a great imrovement. Bye!

For those that complain about the AIM120
UWBuRn replied to Ice's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
Sensor fix would be already good. WAFM of course will be better but i think that some parameter that now is screwed up should enable us to get an acceptable level of simulation while we wait for WAFM. ;) -

Behave different ok, i just hope that rdr missiles doesn't get nerfed again making the f-15, wich basically use only them (in RL f-15 if you get so close to use the sidewinder probably you've done something wrong), an useless plane. -

Frankly speaking, should we expect an improvement of this situation with 1.2? -
Asso, i agree with you: just finished a test session with a friend and the results are terrifying. I wait to post numbers because i want to test a little more but clearly emerged that the 120 have a too low PK*. Even if my virtual squadron flyes the 15 i switched to the 27 for every non virtual squadron related activities. *About this i think the problem is not only the 120 but also other rdr missiles have reduced performance. I can accept this on a R-27R but i think that the 120 is too unbalanced and i'm disappointed because this situation is getting worse and worse with every patch ED release.

I'm not sure it's wrong! I'm asking in fact, maybe someone can bring up datas about the real plane or so. I was just doubting because i've red some interview to 29's pilot claiming that the plane was really maneuvrable (they were speaking about outturning easily the F-16). Also think thoose graphs are referred to LOMAC and not to RL. In the same interview the pilot was telling that the Fulcrum should do 28.5°/s as instantaneous but from thoose graphs (thin line) it stops before, but probably, as someone stated, that's just an error. But these are just suppositions: i was wondering if i was the only one to feel that. About the AI, well defeating that is really no problem, sometimes i've ran aground while looking around but usually i get it in 1-2 minutes of DF. Against some friends ( http://www.vitaf.it/ ) it's another story :D. I share your opinion about the FM; probably the AFM would bring back what the fulcrum is missing, something the SFM can't handle. In my experience the 29 should work hard on rudder and exploit the better power/weight ration in vertical.
-
I'm guessing if the turn rate/radius is accurate for the Fulcrum. Actually i've found it quite poor. I've got no reilable information about the RL Mig-29 and surely ED has better data than me but i would like to see someone else opinion... I've made some fights against "Excellent" AI (i know, it's quite different from a human opposer, but i didn't wanted to waste my friends's time in comparing the planes for hours) and i think that the Su-27 would beat the 29 in any occasion with a human driver onboard. I managed to kill the AI MANY times but most were while it was passing in front of me in a middle of a scissor, i was able to get stably on his six only few times. Same for the F-15 (about the 15 i think, opposite to the 29, it turns too much. but again it's an impression)

Just tested but no go. :( Tomorrow i'll give a try after formatting and maybe also on my bro just bought pc (A64 3000+) Anyway thanks for the help ;)

If you don't enable minimal power management your cpu will be always at 100% clock, heck with amd clock utility ;). In fact you are not using C'n'Q.

I'm experiencing some sort of bug with XP64 (NOTE: this didn't happened to me with XP PRO) using Cool'n'Quite (enabled on the bios, installed the AMD drivers, enabled minimal power management from control panel) function on my PC. Enabling it cause stuttering in multiplayer games. In single player i have no issues but in multiplayer i'm experiencing not continous but quite long "pauses" of the game. Disabling C'n'Q in fact solved the problem. I really don't know if this is imputable to LOMAC, to the AMD drivers or to my own configuration; anyway i post this so maybe the LOMAC team will take in account looking after this problem. Here's my config: Athlon 64 3200+ (core Clawhammer C0), MSI K8T Neo, 1Gbyte DDR 400 Corsair RAM, GeForce 6800GT (with Forceware 81.95) , WD Raptor 74Gbyte, various optical drives and floppy (i think they really have no matter with this problem), Lock On 1.11 Best Regards. PS Happy new year! ;)

Question about XP64 & CD Version of Flaming Cliffs
UWBuRn replied to UWBuRn's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
Yes, but starforce needs to installs its drivers when verifies the cd in the drive and usually this cause problems to XP64 so an answer from someone using it or from the developers would be appreciated. -
Well, the title say almost everything... At the present i'm running dual boot but soon i will switch to x64 only. Also i'm about to buy FC and i've red on the website that the 1.11 support XP64. Is that referred to the downloadable version of FC only or to the boxed version too? I'm interested in the boxed one so i'm asking this because obviously i don't want to spend money for a software that i won't be able to use. Thanks in advance :). PS Hope to have posted in the right board ;).
