Hi guys, So I've been discussing this with the team and we're incredibly disappointed to see anyone receiving VPC products that are anything less than perfect. We want to ensure all our products are (more than) adequately packaged to guarantee their safe arrival to our customers, so seeing all of this is equally distressing to us! In light of these posts, we have reviewed some of our internal processes and packaging procedures and made some adjustments which we feel should resolve any such issues from occurring again in the future. This is VPC's first experience in all this and as such there will be an initial learning curve for us, we greatly appreciate our customer's understanding of this. Only through your feedback can we achieve perfection. Any customers who receive, or have received, any products they feel do not live up to the standard they expect, should contact us at sale@virpil.com. Swapping the grips wouldn't cause any sort of crashes or config wipes. It would just mean that if you had configured DCS for the MongoosT-50 grip, and then swapped to the Warthog grip, well everything would be fine - it's just that, obviously the Warthog grip has a different button layout so you might want to tweak your controls to account for this. See here: Having a standard button config in DCS, and then creating button map profiles in the VPC software would mean that you could easily swap to your preferred button layout depending on the grip you're using, and as you say, you would only need to configure each grip profile for the planes you intend to use that grip with.

Windows won't no, but you can create profiles for different grips with the VPC software!

We're currently working our way through the backlog of orders to ship. You should receive an email when your order has shipped with your tracking number. If you PM your order number I can dig down a bit to see exactly where it's at :) The base is absolutely not limited by it's electronics or firmware. mega_mozg (the creator of the VPC electronics, and the famous MMJoy2) has stated that there is no hard limit in the VPC firmware/electronics side regarding the amount of buttons and axes it can handle. Although the most modern Windows will detect is 8 Axes and 128 buttons. Swapping between the currently compatible grips (TM Warthog, TM Cougar, VPC MongoosT-50) is instantly detected, requiring no firmware updates. But of course due to the different button layouts will require a bit of tweaking in your sim.

The MT-50 base unit won't start shipping until May! No one has one yet :)

We've had quite a lot of US orders! Dojo being one of them, who has already received his order :) 1-2 months.

Hi Pelmo, we do plan to release a desktop base plate for the MongoosT-50. However it's a bit too early to give a release date on this. Remember though, this is not what we intended for the MongoosT-50, both the grip and the base are quite tall, so combined it would be quite impractical as a desktop stick!

Hey Pelmo! Unfortunately I can't offer any insight into the thought processes/steps. But it's quite common for things to dance around in customs for a number of steps. As you can see though they all tend to occur on the same day. Your order has been returned from customs though as you can see so it should be on it's way to you shortly!

The great thing about the VPC Desk Mount is that you can raise and lower the base to account for using a shorter or longer extension! I'll update this thread with the exact dimensions tomorrow. I personally took the photos that are used on the website, and I can assure you the grip in the photos has grey buttons not black! I will get a template sorted out for the base in the near future!
