Well please bare in mind it's a 2mm tolerance error, the noise isn't consistent and it's actually a testament of our QC team's thoroughness that such a small/inconsistently obvious manufacturing error had been spotted. Blind optimism is not required. We are not forcing anyone to continue with their pre-order as we completely understand if anyone would like to cancel their order. Thanks for the support guys, it's much appreciated from the whole VPC team :thumbup: We've certainly learnt a lot from this, so for future product launches we'll be handling things much differently.

They hadn't been processed through customs yet, so it was fairly easy for us to get them returned. A return to sender request is standard fare though, so couriers are usually quite good at responding to these sorts of things thankfully!

Ah! But yes, everyone was effected because we had to get all of our gimbals remade to correct the issue!

This delay effects everyone, as everyone will indeed be receiving the revised/corrected gimbal! I have been absolutely assured by the team that everyone will have their VPC MongoosT-50 Flightstick next week. The entire batch will be reaching VPC HQ on Monday, when we will assembly, test and package up the first batch for dispatch on Tuesday morning. We will then continue despatching daily throughout the week.

Однако вскоре после передачи в в почтовую службу в механике джойстиков были обнаружены недостатки, которые потребовали их устранения. К сожалению, мы должны объявить, что во время производства произошла небольшая ошибка при фрезеровке корпусных деталей для механики VPC MongoosT-50. Проблема связана с каналом, в котором работает пружина сжатия (сбой программы для станка с ЧПУ либо ошибка программиста), он оказался на 2 мм уже, чем предполагалось. Это вызвало появление некоторых неприятных шумов во время движения пружины. Также пришлось незначительно изменить (от 0,1 до 0,15 мм) фиксатор кулачка, что полностью предотвратит его нежелательное страхование в крайних положениях. После долгих и бурных обсуждений в команде вчера вечером принято решение отозвать с таможни первую партию заказов, которые вышли ранее на этой неделе. В итоге наши первые и самые любимые клиенты получат улучшенный вариант механики VPC MongoosT -50. Необходимые изменения были внесены нашим конструктором и отправлены на завод ранним утром. Было получено подтверждение, что участок металлообработки будет работать в течение всего уик-энда. Обновленная партия, которую мы получим в понедельник 24-го, будет достаточно большой, чтобы охватить все существующие предварительные заказы, и команда VPC снова будет работать круглосуточно, чтобы обеспечить тестирование, упаковку, таможенное оформление и отправку всех заказов на следующей неделе. 21 July 2017 // Announcement No. 18 ► VPC MongoosT-50 Flightstick & Base Shipping Status This week marked the start of the much anticipated dispatching of the VPC MongoosT-50 Flightsticks and Bases. The VPC team has been working around the clock to ensure we can get all existing pre-orders shipped out in a timely manner. Unfortunately we must announce that a small error, but an error nonetheless, with the VPC MongoosT-50 gimbal from the factory has been discovered shortly after the first batches early this week were dispatched. The issue is regarding the compression spring channel, which due to an error with the factory CNC software, it is 2mm narrower than intended. This caused some unpleasant noises to be produced during movement. This tolerance error had also affected the cam fixing points, which caused some unwanted movement (~0.1 to 0.15mm). After discussions with the team last night, we have decided to recall the batches from the courier that went out earlier this week as we did not like the idea of our earliest and most supportive customers receiving anything but the newest and best revision of the VPC MongoosT-50 gimbal right out of the gate. The necessary changes have been made at the factory early this morning and these problems have now been resolved. It has been agreed that the factory will now produce from today and over the entire weekend. The revised batch we will receive on Monday 24th will be large enough to cover all existing pre-orders and the VPC team will again be working around the clock to assemble, test, package and despatch all orders next week. We understand wholeheartedly the frustration and disappointment experienced by some of our customers due to these delays. All of us at VPC apologise that it has taken much longer overall than anticipated to get the VPC MongoosT-50 Flightsticks and bases into everyone’s hands. On top of the previously announced VPC dust cover gift, we will also be issuing a 10% discount coupon for all users who have experienced a delay with their pre-order. The VPC MongoosT-50 isn't designed as a desktop stick (plenty of those around!) Because we weren't focusing on compacting the design down to allow desktop use, we've been able to make a truly awesome gimbal! So if you have no simpit/DIY mounts, I'd absolutely recommend going with the VPC Desk Mounts (only 35 EUR) and centermounting the stick, adding the VPC Extensions onto this and you can get a fantastic cockpit-like setup as Winger mentioned!

All great points! I can promise you the VPC MongoosT-50 Throttle will indeed be a very versatile unit. We're aiming to announce it fully at the end of this month. Regarding your other points I'd just like to counter in that these are just our first products, we'll definitely be catering to as much of the flight sim community as possible as time goes on :thumbup:

The VPC MongoosT-50 Flightstick is calling out to you! It is based on the controls found in modern Russian fighter jets. A lot of the VPC team primarily fly the Su-27 in formation so precision was a huge factor when designing the MongoosT-50.

Hi Mbot, The curved extension has never been available to order and only appeared in our earliest renders (before the pre-orders had started). It was dropped in favour of our modular extension set due to those being much more versatile! But with enough demand it could be something we'll work on providing in the future. The image you've quoted from the unboxing shows the MongoosT-50 Flightstick without any extension installed.
