    Kubi´s Pit

Hi, I attached the Panels I have yet just to figure out, how it will work with all the cables later. I´am satisfied so far with the look even if it is not painted, but I´am a little afraid about the wiring later.:hmm:
  3. Wow, that looks just great! Congrats to this great Project.

I like it! I don't know how the real travel is, but I don't care. The only thing I want to change are the springs. A little more tension for a stronger feeling. For the Stick I don't have any plans yet. For me it works fine with the low force. I got used to it. There is a little resistance in the center that let me know when the Stick is centered. Maybe I will try some Springs or/and Damper in the far future, but at the moment there are a lot of other more important things to do to get my Pit flyable.

Some quick info: I got some grey water Pipe from the DIY Store. To attach the Pipe to Base and Grip I used some Garden Tube connectors as `Dimebug´ explained in his Thread. The thread of the connectors works fine with the thread of the Warthog. For the connection between Grip and Base I ordered this connectors: http://www.conrad.de/ce/de/product/732087/;jsessionid=A1A1CDCE34C007C379AEB95ADFA4BA19.ASTPCCP9 http://www.conrad.de/ce/de/product/731937/ The Pipe is about 25.5 cm high. I think about to shorten it a bit. @Sierra99: I currently have not much time, so if you would like to get some more detailed info, how I did it, just let me know.

Had a little time to go on with my building. I finished my Landing Gear Panel. Just a little soldering left. I got the solution for TomDK´s Gear Lever with the great support of agrasyuk:thumbup: For the top of the Panel I used self-adhesive Zweckform Polyester sheet and finished it with some clear coat. I was lucky to get the Landing-Light Cap on e***. They were sold in a pack of 4. So I still have 3. If someone is interestet just PM me.
  10. Linden, sorry to hear that, the most important is the family! Take all the time you need! All the best wishes, take care. Michael

Hi all! First of all I want to say thank you to all the great People around here. Without all the knowledge and suggestions I found here in the Forum, I would never have come to this stage of building. There are too many to mention them all by name and so I just say thanks again. I have made some Pictures of my build. I´m using an 22" Monitor for the instrument. 1 ARCAZE-Usb yet and my Phidget LED board is on it´s way. All started with the SEAT. When I started to build it, I was not sure what kind of Cockpit I want to build, so I decided to build the F-16 style ACES II. First I had to learn how to use all my new tools, but It was a lot of fun to build it and I got many many Info´s and suggestions over at VP Forum. Installed in my room with the center stick: I decided to build the front panel next. Dimebugs plans helped a lot! - Thanks Dimebug - Due to the size of the monitor it got all a bit smaller then the original and I´m not sure how to hide all the cables, but I´m satisfied yet. The next thing will be to install my first panels (and finish the 2nd) I didn´t find a solution to install TomDK´s great "Landing Gear Lever" yet, but I have some ideas and we will see what happens. As you can see, there is a lot of work left and it will take a long time to finish the project, but it´s a lot of fun, I have a very patient wify and it´s very nice to meet all the great people here. I hope my english is not to bad:music_whistling: cheers, Kubi

  17. Hi Tom, did you check out over at viperpits.org? There are a lot of infos about the ACES II. I have used the *.pdf file for my building. Just printed it out and used it as an stencil to cut the pieces out. I found it as an *.dxf file long time ago but I can´t upload it here:dunno:. Does that maybe help you?
