  1. Hi all, sorry for not replying any questions the last weeks. I'm very stressed in job at the moment. the 20x2 version seems to be "not running" at the moment. Sorry for that. Just made a quick programming, but it didn't work. I don't have a 20x2 display, so I could not try. Next week I'm on holiday , after that I'll give it another chance. Sorry guys...
  2. I love this project!!!!
  3. Like the idea with the EL wire. Ordered some to try it! Thanks for the tip!
  4. Just write yourself a udp client in VisualStudio. I used VisualBasic, and it's fast enough handling the udp stream.
  5. Hi duckling, should be difficult 'cause you cannot export the panel to a separate screen. perhaps it will work capturing part of the game monitor but then you won't be able to change viewing positions.
  6. hm, I think this is franks thread, so frank can write in here whatever he wants..... If someone doesn't like it, he shouldn't read it.....just as simple In my opinion it's a good idea he has building up some kind of "professional" stuff for people wanting to have a pit but don't have the time to build one. So they can change time with money. Not the worst way... So, I will continue to read this thread, and as all of us know, pictures say more than thousand words. Go on Frank, make your way!
  7. just PM me you mail address, I did a 20x2 version for another guy in the forum
  8. started working on cmsc but didn't finish yet 'cause of having lot of work in business...sorry. Still may take a while....
  9. no, I didn't...............the only thing that is rubber now is the skin of my hands......weird sh... these casting resins. sometimes it hardens sometimes not..and this with the same amount of hardener. I quit..... :-)
  10. sorry for not sending anything the last days. just doing some experiments in upgrading my UFC and CDU using casting resin for the push buttons that behaves like a kind of rubber. Having multiple problems.....
  11. very nice startup! Looking forward to see more!
  12. didn't try this yet. Is it possible to send me the source code? Would like to squeeze the export feature in my hardware interface program. You should still have my email. Thank you!
  13. just had a quick look at your prog! Look great and works very well! What I like most is that you made different viewports. I had the problem to get the clients out of the form frontiers with VB. Congrats, nice to have such an result working together.
  14. very good news. looking forward to see it!
  15. hey I was never sitting in a real A-10, so how should I tell ya the differences :-) visibility is okay, I'm quite tall with 1,92m, so my head is a bit to high in the cockpit. Have to see how it works when the seat is installed. Could get worse. The other thing is, that front window has a gold layer for heating. This consumes a bit of projection light, but is acceptable.
  16. and dirty..........
  17. mad a quick walkaround of current setup. Two PC running. One for outside view and base controls like throttle, cougars and stick. The other PC for Interfacing switches,ADI , HSI and MFDs. Just making stability tests, so this setup runs the hole day before I continue to connect further things like 7segment, LCDs and so on. This morning I ran into serious problems using all graphic options at "HIGH". Found out that 6 GB memory isn't enough doing this.... so advanced to 12 GB and now everything runs smooth again. The other problem I had, is that my little PicServcer Program won't send actual screenshots when textures in A-10 options is set to "HIGH". Don't know why.... Perhaps anyone has an idea. So have fun watching the "little walkaround"
  18. These look great!!!!!Good work!
  19. yes for sure. WHARTSELL is working on my prog to make it more user friendly. He's the better programmer I think with more experience. He promised to finish next week.
  20. Today rearanged the setup a bit. Installed a second PC using it to make all the interfacing and display issues. So main computer is just there to work on external view. Using my little ScreenPicServer program I export all the MFD screens over the network to second PC which displays it on the lilliput monitors. Also HELIOS is running on this second machine getting its data also over network. Next step is to get my interface system running again on this additional PC. Still a lot of work to do, but also able to get some flight time again sitting on a beer box in the cockpit.......Hopefully no one can see me sitting there....
  21. I use three lilliputs with windows 7 64 bit. Only problem I had was using crossfire. With crossfire turned on, only one USB monitor was detected at a time. Turning crossfire off, no more problems.
  22. wow, thanks guys. I'm blown away of you coments! Gives me really a lot motivation to go on!
  23. made a short video of projection. Sorry for bad video quality, just used photo camera.
  24. Some pics with cockpit running. Before I will reinstall the ejection seat, have to do the cabeling of all the switches and panels. This will be lot of work to to and will make me busy the next weeks.
  25. whartsell these are really good news. Hope this prog will help many builders to make setups similar to FSX setups with dividing view rendering and interfacing/instruments. Perhaps in future ED will make it possible to to render the views on several machines. this would be the real dream.. Happy, that we could do this small step as a team. Looking forward for the result. If you like, we can put the final prog on my download page, and if someone likes to donate, we can share.
