Well I have ordered now from SimPed, but as I understand it can take a few months before I get them. About making my own, I could be able to cut the wooden pieces myself but the metalpieces, where do you get them from?

Thanks man :thumbup: The F-16 variant looks really sweet, but it was quite expensive. Would the Vario do just fine? Do you need toe-breaks in Lomac FC and BS? I mean is it an option for it or is it just MS FS / x-plane you use toe breaks? Guess this sounds like a rookie question :music_whistling:

I've been searching for information all night now for which rudder pedals which are the best to combine with the TM Cougar. I read at frugals world I think, that Simped Vario worked fine, but then I read somewhere else that this is not produced anymore and I couldn't find any site for the products as well. Anyway, should I use rudders with a 15pin connector to connect to the throttlestick or would usb-rudders ie. CH pro pedals work just fine? Thanks in advance

You should try to program your stick. It isn't so hard. I followed the tutorials in Foxy and made my own joystick file for lock-on. Now here's what I programmed for the TDC: tmj: MIX 3 Move_Designator_Down ^ Move_Designator_Up MIY 3 Move_Designator_Right ^ Move_Designator_Left and the tmm is: Move_Designator_Up = ; Move_Designator_Down = . Move_Designator_Right = / Move_Designator_Left = , and it works for me ;)

Oh by the way, Gunja! I remember all those games on your signature. God I miss them! Is there anywhere possible to play them again? Is there some emulation software that works? It really brought back alot of good memories when I saw that :)

You misunderstood a bit :) I got 740 mb available just after startup. It's not 740 mb being used ;) But now I shut down Norton as well so now I got 787mb available. But it still means that 220-230 mb is still being used just after startup. I think that's alot. But I will try those programs you mentioned.

When I start up windows there is only about 740mb available of my 1gb of RAM. I don't have tons of programs running in the background. I believe the ones who are running are the ones who really need to run. I always check of for programs to not start during startup and I have also been using msconfig to turn of the ones which don't have that option. So it's basically just keyboard and mouse and soundcard stuff that loads during startup. And Norton Virus. Any suggestions?

No I just tested it. If I turn Haze to basic the lights are not showing and if I turn it back on advanced they are there. Maybe it has something to do with your graphiccard settings. I'm not an expert on this but maybe you ought to change some of the performance settings? Not the settings in the game but the ones you do in windows?

I think it's greate work you've done with the encyclopedia. I hope ED would pick up on your idea and use it with future releases. But there is one thing I'm missing. It it missile burn time for SA missiles. Right now I'm cheating a bit since I don't know exactly how long the missile is burning so I use the F6 button to watch when the flames are out and then start outturning/outmanouvering the missile (This is of course for long/medium range missiles). I don't want to spend energy on starting turns while the enemy missile still have it's rocket engine on to compensate. I don't know if this is the right tactic but it works for me. But I would have felt more like a real pilot if I could just use the cockpitclock when the missile launched and just count the seconds and then started manouvering. I know you can watch the smoketrails in a clear and sunny day.

I usually don't make it back with fire in my engine(s) and with them still running. Usually flies a couple of minutes - and then kaboom! But if I'm quick to shut down the engine burning the fire usually is put out.

Yes, but I was wondering if different messages would appear in the black window, you know where there is some yellow text popping up right after the wheels are off ground? Btw here's that picture I was talking about. You can see gore on the broken canopy :D

S! I have some questions. I have been playing LOMAC and FC for a while and overall I am more than satisfied with the game. But there are some things I haven't fully figured out and I have been searching this and other forums about it. 1. The star constelations in the sky. I've been looking up during night missions and studied them, but I haven't been able to identify any. Are the stars just randomly placed there? 2. I know there has been alot of discussion about the wingmen/wingnuts. But it doesn't seem like noone have a good answer wether there will be improvement or not. I've been flying the SU-25/SU-25T for the most. In the Flaming Cliffs Campaign you actually have to rely on your wingman for completion of the mission due to multiple targets. So for instance once I had to take out a long range SAM I was flying in the outer envelope of it's range (tnx to Ironhand for his very useful tutorials) and just let the SAM fire it's missiles at me because I knew they were gonna run out on energy since I was flying on a perpendiculary course (sorry if my spelling isn't perfect). My wingy of course got panic and kept yelling "engaged defensive" and doing all sorts of manouvers. And everytime that stupid @%#¤!! dropped his loadout. The wingman often do well and is useful but they have a tendency to ALWAYS mess things up in someway. I also tried the trick with sending them back to a previous waypoint before things get hot and several times when I've been flying a four ship flight they have actually managed to crash into each other :( when I told them to turn around. 3. I haven't fully undestood the EKRAN yet. Found some post on it but is there more to know about it? 4. Engine fires and flameouts (is that what it's called when the engine stops?) Anything to do other than shut it down? And by the way, have you noticed that if you get killed in air, there is blood on the windshield (at least on the -25T) :D I got i nice screenshot of it but wasn't able to upload it to my website today, so I can post it later. Too bad you couldn't solve my problem. I wasn't aware that you could open the editor and play all missions there in what sequence you like. So I got mission 10 to work but not mission 9. :( Anyway, cool meeting you. I'm just practising to get in shape to fly online again. I used to play Jane's F/A-18 alot. There was another fellow norwegian I flew alot with, K@OS he called himself. But for several reason I didn't play much for some years (school, work etc. etc.) But lately I have tried to find some time, so I practised alot on the Hog, but then I fell in love with the Frogfoot :icon_syda So soon I will be back in shape like in the good old F/A-18 days.

I have the same problem. When I get to mission 9, Unexpected guests I think it's called, it loads about 4/5 when I crash to desktop. I've tried to change the day and time from everything between day 6 to 10 with various time settings. Nothing helps :( What is the exact input? In that link it only mentioned the setting for mission 10, but I can't get mission 9 to work so I don't know about 10 Please help. I love the campaign so far.
