Water Rendering Issues
Odin_Norway replied to FA_Crazy-Canuck's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
I doubled check all my settings but it didn't help me, but I stumbled upon a water mod made by alexandra over at checksix and it worked perfect on my machine. With Enhanced FPS water mod by D-Scythe, and Fixed water mod by Xuantam I would always get that annoying flickering -
Is there some way to make those #@%¤!! more vulnerable? Look at these to screens That guy was on the roof of a building I blow away. He is happy in the flames and continues to fight on (what a spirit) Here is another one In the background there is another one not at all affected by the blast of the explosions. I want them to die if they are within a certain radius of the blast of an explosion

Release: Sim-Mod Air Base Ground Texture Beta2
Odin_Norway replied to grandsurf's topic in DCS Modding
Oh I see you have the same problem as me, Damli PS if you have other runway mods in your temptexture folder I guess they will override the cdds file from grandsurf. Uninstall them -

ATI here as well (X1950XTX) Esac_mirmidon and graywo1fg to me it seems like you only installed the two files WPP_DARK.bmp and and the WPP-CZS.bmp into the TempTextures folder. Grandsurf I have some problems, the wpp_park.tga file is causing som issues as you can see here as you also can see I have some troubles with the wpp_dark file. I did download the files you mentioned in your first post. However the high version works fine except from wpp_park.tga which gives some weird cyan color which becomes worse farther away. You can see it on the image below But  for your excellent work. Keep 'em coming -
Thanks for the link camacmm, I did try to search for skin slot but din't find that one, maybe I misspelled it or something... Anyway, I found an excellent tutorial by cosmonaut and in his guide he stated the same thing so I figured it out allready. When I (in a few years time) have learned to make 3d modells I will make a new su25 so it will be possible to add more skins for it :)
-
There is plenty of people here who can help you with that, but I volounteer so maybe I get to betatest your new beautiful stuff :smartass:
-
Here is my new excellent invisible skin... :clap_2: But seriously, is there possible to add more skins to the Su-25 than the seven slots available (rus. side)? Do you have to edit the su25.cmd file? How do you do that if so?
-
Oh yes I know about it, it's some excellent work. I thought you were on a quest to make a new one :)
-
The models in encyclopedia are 3d models not pictures, so I guess there is no other way to do it than taking screenshots.
-
As I said earlier, I'm not a wizard, but your temperatures seems fine. So there has to be some other reason. Sorry but I don't know if I can help you. It seems like you have the latest driver for your graphiccard as well.
-
Yes that was an excellent link. Seems like I mixed it up. Anyway, I hope someone would have time to try to make a skin. I have been trying a little bit with photoshop but I guess I have to find a tutorial on how you do it.
-
Yes, but check your systems temperatur when your computer is idle. What does it read? Do you crash to desktop or do you get bluescreen and have to reboot or does the screen just freeze? If you crash to desktop check temp's imidiately after that happpens. What does it read?
-
Actually I was hoping it would be possible to be just Odin and not Odin_Norway, someone got it before me because stupid me wasn't aware if this forum and was hanging out at ubi. But the person who got Odin hasn't been active in a couple of years.
-
Good work there  You put a lot more effort into it than I did :) There is only one thing though, when I try to look at seat+pilot only the seat shows up, for both sides. When I use ModelViewer it shows correct. Weird...
-
Use a program to get your systemtemperatures like Everest. You can get a trial version here. If you can boil water on your cpu, that may not be a good thing, though your graphiccard may handle it ok ;)
-
Btw, try renaming that playboy kneeboard file from pilot-usa-g01.tga to pilot-rus-g01.tga if you want it on your '27. I haven't tried it, but it should do the trick.
-
I hope Tech will release this when grandsurf releases his mod, I bet his package will contain every "must-have" any newbie or veterans need.

Is it possible to have two (or more) installs of LOFC?
Odin_Norway replied to Kuky's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
I have also tried to figure that out, but for the moment I go with a variant of what Boberro suggest. One folder with a back up of a clean version, and one with the all the mods that have been tested and working and of course the one I play from, which I have screwed up sometimes when testing stuff :) -
You're right! There is something fishy with skin #6. I've checked with the original cdds file and there is no # on it, still it shows up as #39 on my loadout screen. Same thing with the last Su-30 skin. Weird...
-
My best guess is that that particulary skin has #3 "painted" on it and it uses a blank nomera.tga file.
-
I know all about it, I'm a student myself. Anyway, keep up the good work
-
Yepp that's it :clap_2: But I will leave it to someone else to analyze it. I'm not an expert Edit: Hey were did it go?

One way you can get some info, is to click your Start-menu button, select Run and type dxdiag and hit enter. There you will get MB, CPU and RAM If you select the third tab from the left, which I'm not sure what it is called on a english OS (maybe Video?) you will get info about your graphiccard.
