That shouldn't matter mate after you center the TIR. A reflector a little off to one side wont make a difference. Manta states also he's using a TIR4 so is probably using the vector kit supplied. :) If you have a lot of windows and light coloured paint on the walls 'light filtering' wont always help. Mantas problem could be a problem with the 'hat switch' on his joystick. or a software conflict with it, by the sound of it. As for not being able to center the view; the only time Ive managed to do this was after messing about too much using 'GUI Configurator' to adjust my virtual head position. Tried moving the default position 'forward and higher'. Forward was ok. Higher made the view, after hitting the center switch, look to the right and high.

 Trust me and a few thousand others. All sim pilots need a TIR. :icon_pray 'Borrow or steal the money, go without food for a week, turn the heating off,' but get a TIR. ;)

Here's a rip from someone else's post on this forum that I posted on NP's forum. Gets a little confusing after a while. If Track Ir is not functioning. Delete 2 TrackIR Files. One in the "Input Folder, The other in "Config" folder. Then start your sim. It should be fine now. When I first updated; TIR4 worked fine with the new patch. When it stopped  I carried out the above fix and have had no problems since.

No it doesn't. You can look, left/right, up/down and zoom in/pan back. Black Shark is 6DOF but only the helicopter so far I believe. Go to the page below to see all supported games and to what degree mate. :) http://www.naturalpoint.com/trackir/03-enhanced-games/enhanced-games-all.html

AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thats not funny anymore. ;)

I think the long and short of it is: If you don't own a TIR or have ver 1 or 2, buy the TIR4 If you have TIR3 plus the vector kit then stick with it unless you want the best up to date model or have spare cash to play with. The difference between TIR3 + vector and TIR4 in money terms makes TIR4 the best choice.

Anyone remember a 'made for TV film' called ''By Dawns Early Light''. This seemed a lot more realistic than the usual dross. Plot Synopsis This made for TV movie depicts what may have transpired during the Cold War era if there were to have been an armed conflict. The story is actually quite well done, with two plots running simultaneously. The first centres around a B52 bomber crew from the Strategic Air Command ( SAC ) who are tasked with the release of strategic nuclear warheads should the order to attack the USSR be given. The second plot follows the actions of the US government whilst it reacts to a nuclear confrontation with the USSR and how the US government tries to desperately defuse the escalating situation. I found this movie to be a little dated by today's standards, but overall I was still entertained by it. Whether or not this is how things would have panned out in the event of a nuclear confrontation between the two superpowers is open to debate. I'm with the Captain on this one. Light a weird fire to draw attention to yourself then play dead alongside it. Some good Samaritan or curious passerby stops to gawp or see if they can help. The rest could well be history for the unfortunate passerby or they might be history. First rule of 'First Aid' is don't become a casualty yourself.

Nature can play strange tricks on the eye. Most big cat sightings in the countryside are made by people from built up towns who have problems adjusting their perspective to open areas. The moggie they actually see is a lot closer than they think so it must be a Puma. Where I live we have the 'Beast of Bodmin'. They have now asked the farmers to keep an eye out for it as their distance perception is more attuned to the moors and fields. And I agree totally with the last line. It would be arrogant of us to believe we're the only life in an infinite Universe.

Watch out! Here comes 'britgliderpilot'!! ;) -
Just give it a random 0.001% chance every time you fly a mission you may get a strange radar signal, coloured light or erratically moving object. That way when people complain of bugs the official response can be; You have come across a UFO. At last, The first ever bug free game. :icon_mrgr Unless they keep replicating it. ;)
