I was testing a mission using the Su-25T against the SA-11. I had already killed the search radar with a pair of Kh-58s. I turned back around and launched two remaining Kh-25Ls at two of the launchers and RTB'd to re-arm. During the first engagement, I had the MPS-410 on. I turned it off when I headed to the airport. Re-armed and back in the fight, I did not bother turning the Jammer back on. I know the launcher on the SA-11 does have its own tracking radar but didn't think it would launch on me without the search radar. I launched my Kh-25L and right before impact, I see a streaking missile heading my way. I break down hard and to the right keeping the missile off my left wing and pump chaff until the missile breaks lock. I looked down at the jammer indicator light and confirmed that the jammer was off as I thought. I turned it on and made another run in. During this run, I was able to launch a missile at the launcher with nothing coming back in my direction. I tried this two more times once with the jammer on and then again with it off. Again, I got the same results as before. I recieved a missile with the jammer off and no missile with the jammer on. All of this to say that you can attack SA-11 launcher with little to no problems if you have the jammer on. With no jammer, expect a missile inbound. I would have posted a track but the mission was an hour and 45 minutes long. I will post one as soon as I get the next chance.

You can press "Stop Attack" after the first shot. I have been playing around with this earlier today. My setup is as follows: 1. Set path for aircraft 10 miles from action. 2. Give "Attack" mission to aircraft. 3. If something goes awry, cancel the attack. Once canceled or all units in group are destroyed, flight will orbit at last path given.

Strongharm, that is a great find. For A-10C, it took me a week to read the manual and learn just how to start up the aircraft. There is so much information in that manual.

Sorry for the confusion. It is the Su-25T. From a ramp start and in the air I noticed a 5~10 degree difference between the HSI and the HUD. I just started flying the Su-25T within the last couple of days and noticed it today.

I noticed the same thing tonight. I thought it was a little odd myself.

I am glad we got this figured out. Another video covering the CDU? That is a big step. Where to start? In the manual the CDU is about one third of it. There is so much to cover. When I finally break it down into manageable pieces, I would be happy to some videos to cover that subject.

I was able to get the time and try and few things out this afternoon. First, I made a very simple mission with one A-10C with no waypoints and made use of the ILS at Kutaisi. With no waypoints in the CDU for the needles to use as a flight director, I also turned the Steerpoint off (to be safe) and ILS on. I enabled the needles and they acted like they should have. Localizer came in and matched the same rate of the CDI on the HSI. I joined the localizer above the glideslope and had to drop down to get it. But it worked like I have seen the in real world. The glideslope is just as touchy as the real world. Second track is the one where I made my video from. This mission has waypoints to identify the turnpoints in a traffic pattern. When I made my turn to line up with the localizer, I turned off the Steerpoint mode, turned on ILS mode and enabled the needles. Everything worked just liked the first track. (Minus the landing gear, wireless keyboard is running low on juice) Sobe, you are correct in enabling the needles and turning off Steerpoint Mode. The needles work like they should in the real world with regards to the ILS approach. I will make another video with the new information. Kutaisi ILS No Waypoints.trk Tbilisi ILS Landing 02.trk

Sobe, Please reference the images below. Again when you turn to final, line up on the localizer first and then the glideslope. When lining up with the glideslope let the needle drop to you and then follow it down. Just like the video.

Sobe, Were you able to figure it out?
-
Evil, What did you use to view the files? I looked into the folder and the files have a .sup3 extension. Thanks!

Sobe, I keep the needles stowed. Glideslope indication can be found on the left side of the ADI. Before you intercept the glideslope, you will see the glideslope indicator with the triangle pegged out at the top. The closer you get to the glideslope that triangle will drop down. Just before the triangle hits centerline, you should be adjusting pitch, power and last set of flaps. Keep adjusting all the way down until you can see the runway. Stow the needles - I have been digging into that and found on that most posts on this forum suggest that needles act like a flight director. The flight director uses the waypoints entered into the flight computer to tell the pilot where he/she should pilot the aircraft in order to get to the next waypoint. I will try to confirm this in the next couple of days. No beeps - Make sure you are tuned to the right frequency and that the ILS panel is on. You might have to wait a few seconds for the broadcast. Let me know how this works out for you.

Post a quick track of what you are doing and give us the coords as well. I or someone else could give you a better answer. There are probably a million way to do something wrong.

Evil, I liked the landing. I was really expecting a landing on the runway. Soft field landings are important too. Thanks for the chuckle.

I did contact the tower but was informed I was cleared for the visual. It didn't make much sense being cleared for the visual when you can't see anything. So, I edited it out.

I created this mission and video over the weekend. Please let me know what you think. Tbilisi ILS Training - Easy.miz

I have noticed the same. Wingman will turn on/off the Navigation lights but keeps the Anti-collison lights on. Not sure why.

Bonsai, Great track. I have always had a problem getting JTAC to use IR. It has been hit and miss. I have not tried it since the new patch though.

Quick_Mission goes in the track folder Free Flight goes in the mission folder

Dazzy, here is a quick track from a mission I made to train using JTAC. This track doesn't show me using JTAC, but it is from start to finish. Free Flight - Black Sea - Ramp Start Batumi.miz Quick_Mission.trk

You can also press 'CTRL + Keypad 0' and then 'Keypad 5' and you center the view on the HUD. This is also great for setting up radio 'Keypad 1' and inputting coords into the CDU 'Keypad 2'.

Check the first two digits in the coord. The game uses both 37T and 38T. It is possible that you are located in 37T and the target could be in 38T or vice versa. I have made that mistake before. All you have to do is update that in the CDU.

Here is the equation to build your app: Total Fuel x 60 / (Fuel Flow Right Engine + Fuel Flow Right Engine) Example: 5000 lbs - Total Fuel 1800 lbs/hr - Fuel Flow Left Engine 1800 lbs/hr - Fuel Flow Right Engine Remaining Flight Time = 5000 x 60 / (1,800 + 1,800) Remaining Flight Time = 5000 x 60 / 3,600 Remaining Flight Time = 300,000 / 3,600 Remaining Flight Time = 83.3 minutes of fuel remaining I hope this helps.

Cukier, I am using 1 monitor. I don't have enough desk space for 2 monitors unfortunately.
