I have noticed that the display window for MGRS coordinates is only large enough to show the first half of the coordinate. 12 A BC 12345 6???? Lat / Long (default) option and Decimal are displayed with no problem. I am running version 1.2.1.6192

Going on Grimes info, give Triggered Actions > Start a try. I know that works with uncontrolled aircraft.

Another easy way before setting up your attack.

Chardly, Take a look at what I have. I moved the orbit to the end of the task. I have been turning EPLRs off on the FAC A as well. I find with that off I don't get the text messages from FAC like I would with EPLRs on and Datalink off. You wont be able to see the aircraft on your TAD with EPLRs off. I am not sure why FAC will not designate using IR. I am having the same issue. I deleted and added the Pred and no luck. I also tried a different aircraft. I built a mission a long time ago and I had a Pred IR designate a moving group. The group was driving in the middle of a city. I hope that gets you closer to what you were looking for. You are now able to get tasking for all 3 targets in the order that you had in the mission you provided. The only thing lacking is the IR designate. Night Test JW.miz

I was able to play Smerch Hunt and the only issue that I noticed was vehicles on the taxi apron preventing my wingman from taking off. Everything else seemed normal. I did not run the mission through mission editor. Running version 1.2.1.6148

Someone posted in a thread earlier when 1.2.1 first came out. They said if you open the mission in the missing editor and save, it should update the coding. Give it a shot. I haven't had the chance to try it on the ED missions but it worked on one of my missions that I built.

For 2.bin I have 1,953,125KB It is running fine for me. I did have a problem downloading last night as well. I ended getting 2.bin this morning. No problems on the install.

I just upgraded from 1.1 to 1.2.1.6055. I happened onto the time on the bottom right of the screen. Before it posted the system time. I just wanted ED to know. Right now, the Mission Editor shows the time is 12:34:56 It is not a huge issue. I just thought it was funny when I saw that this afternoon. I would upload the screenshot but the forum does recognize the .png as a vaild image format.

Thanks for the advice. It is funny what you said about too much text. Less is more. "Facebook" started out as the "The Facebook." At least according to the movie. That music is something that I dont normally listen to but I thought it had a nice beat. Ha, that is why I wanted everyone's opinion. Thanks again. I will screen the music a little better and check out your videos ralfidude. All in all it was a fun process. I went to bed right after at 0330. I am normally passed out by 2100. I just woke up on hour ago.

I made this video earlier today because I wanted to tryout the video editing software. Sony Studio is very easy to manipulate. I used FRAPS to pull the video from the game. Any thoughts?

any way to remove radio F menu from track?
NC_Cyborg replied to WildBillKelsoe's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
I was working on a video today and found out I could crop out the text. I am using Sony Studio 11. I am not sure of turning off the subtitles in the game though. -
More often than not, I am at the appropriate AoA during my approach. I have never had a problem with stopping the A-10 before the edge of the runway. Alot of the time, I am on the taxiway between midfield and 3/4 of the runway. I understand the reasoning behind throttle response lag and such. I have yet run into a problem where I needed to abort my approach seconds before touchdown. I am commited at that point anyway. :joystick:

I have noticed something similar at Belsan. I would begin my takeoff run for runway 10 at the taxiway vice the far end of the runway. I normally de-activate nose wheel steering at 50 knots. I will normally lift off from the runway at the numbers. When I go to the end of the runway and turn around to use the full runway I have not noticed the nose wheel collapse. I will have to post a track.

That looks awesome! Great work guys!

For me it was a finance issue. And because of that I had to choose another career path. Spot on. I enjoy watching "Air Emergency" on the National Geographic Channel. There have been times where Pitot / Static failure has caused many mishaps. Again going to the basics, it was drill into my head. But I am starting to think my instructor was more advanced than most. I feel a commercial pilot would be better suited in given advice on departures and approaches. Not combat. My opinion... The average Real Pilot does not have a 'more valid' opinion on flightmodels? If the flight model in question is the type the pilot is rated in, yes.

My two cents... I am sure almost anyone on this forum would make some sort of sacrifice to be able to fly the real A-10C for a day. How many of you would love to fly in the backseat of a Blue Angel or Thunderbird? I know I would in a heartbeat. Why? Because of my desire to be up in the clouds. So do something about it. I worked my way to get a commercial pilot’s license. I fell 15 hours short of that goal. But my best part in that training pipeline was probably the private pilot license. Sure, the mutli-engine or instrument rating is cool. But ~90% of the private pilot training is failures and what ifs. That is the area where you get to learn the feel of the airplane. You learn what the plane is capable of before it happens. I finally started to realize near the end of my training that all the fun things like stalls, engine out procedures, loss of control, etc… was less and less. I became dependant on building time for the 250 hours needed for the Commercial Pilot License. And in the commercial pilot world, the more time you have on the books the better the chance you have of being hired. In my honest opinion, flying a bus from point A to B is not that exciting. What is my stand on commercial pilots (no military background) and this forum? I feel they are one small step ahead of the combat flight sim pilots. And the only reason they have that small step is because of the private pilot training. Those pilots cannot possibly relate the intricacies of combat flying. Try and Google the USS Vicennes and the Iranian Flight 655. Granted, they did not know what their outcome was going to be that fateful day. But they at least have more combat experience then the other bus drivers on this forum. One of my former boss was a previous F-14 driver. Upon my exit interview with him, I asked him, “Are you planning on being a commercial pilot when he retires? His response, “Hell no!” He later went on to explain his reason for not going into the bus driving business. The biggest reason was nothing else could compare to being at the stick of a Tomcat. I know I will probably take a lot of slack for this post, but this is how I feel. I am not the all knowing fight jock. I am just a humble chair pilot at the mercy of DCS. With the TrackIR, TM Warthog HOTAS and flight pedals, I am again a couple steps away from really flying again. One of those steps would have to be the seat of your pants sensations. Pulling two Gs in a Cessna is fun. Or how about that feeling of an oncoming stall. Maybe trying to control your pitch with the use of the stick. But until that day, I am at your beck and call DCS. Thanks for such a great platform! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/USS_Vincennes_(CG-49)

I ended up making a weapon matrix for the A-10C. I uploaded the pdf to the wiki page. http://forums.eagle.ru/attachment.php?attachmentid=70726&d=1348112378
