Have not played this for a couple of months and just installed a big update for DCS world. However when flying the A10c now and looking at my wings using the Track IR, parts of the wings disappear. How do I repair this or could it be clashing with a mod I installed Thanks in advance for all help

Thanks for the interest m8. I live in the UK so postage to yourself will be straightforward enough. Check your pm for my reply. Cheers

I have not used these items for over 2 years due to using a HOTAS Warthog and therefore have decided to offer them up for sale. CH Products Fighter Stick CH Products Pro Throttle Both have been well looked after and are in excellent condition. I think I still have the original packaging if so will make posting easier. I will consider selling them separately so if interested in both or just one let me know, and we'll try to come to a happy arrangement. Cheers

Zzenith replied to Zzenith's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Please ignore this post as I have recreated the post in the proper forum. Thanks -
Item has been sold. thanks

Hello All I just recently am the proud owner of a set of MFG Crosswind rudder pedals and no longer need my current pedals so have decided to sell them. I have had them for around 14 months and have only seen use for about 2- 3 of those months and are in excellent condition and still have all the original packaging. I live in the UK and due to postage costs would prefer to sell to a UK resident, however if buyer is willing to pay for postage will ship abroad. If interested let me know and we can try to come to an agreement we are both happy with. Cheers

The solution is simple.... get em both . But if your budget is tight then the KA50 has much more content than the huey. Choose wisely

Just want to thank you guys for all those posts / links. They have explained things well, I didn't realise how hard of a turn into the target you needed to do but after watching some of Eddies utube vids and reading some of the links. I know what expected of me now to do a fast dive bomb and escape. Cheers lads now just gotta practice it a hell of a lot :)
-
I'm finding the CCIP bombing a bit better now. So basically at the moment I'm flying at at 90 degree to target then I take a hard left or right bank pull back on joystick pulling a 3 g turn whilst letting my nose drop through the turn. Then when the target is almost on the pitch ladder I go to level flight as quickly as possible and line up for pickle. My only problem is now trying to work out what distances from the target I need to start my hard bank toward the target. Of course this will change with regards to my altitude also. Is there any rule of thumb that will give you a good idea of when to bank toward target taking into account my altitude and distance to target. Or is it all just experience and practice. Cheers guys this is getting easier

Thanks for all the replies folks, I will check those links out that were posted. Cheers

I'm currently practicing CCIP bombing and although I know the basics of dive into target and wait until the pipper is on the target to release bombs, I find myself struggling to get the bomb on target unless I use a huge amount in a ripple with short spacing. I find it just luck too get a single bomb on a target. Can anyone help me with regards to learning how to do the procedure properly. At the moment an kinda just turning into the target and desperately raising the nose or lowering until the pipper shows up and tracks toward the target then it seems pot luck whether it will hit or not. What is the best height for CCIP. What cockpit references can I use if any What distance should I be from target before turning in. What degree of bank to turn into target. What dive angle is best. Realistically what targets would an A10 pilot use 82 and 84 on I've heard about mils with regards to the HUD but don't really know much about it. Perhaps I am expecting too much from myself, how accurate can I expect to be using CCIP, if I do it within parameters can I expect a bomb to land slap on the top of a target every time or should I be expecting a near miss now and again regardless . I would really appreciate all knowledge/ information on this matter, I know I could just use LGB's but I really want to learn how to use CCIP properly. Many thanks :)

My throttle flaps switch is in need of replacing due to becoming very loose. Thrustmaster have offered me the options of sending the unit back for repair by themselves or sending the switch to me so that I can do the repair myself. I would prefer to do the repair myself but after opening the bottom of the throttle up I realise that I have no idea how to remove the old flap switch. So I would be most grateful is someone could post very detailed step by step instructions of how to exactly remove and replace the flap switch. Otherwise I will have to send the unit back to Thrustmaster for them to repair and god knows how long that will take.. Many thanks for all help :)

Ok simple problem I hope. Iam just getting back into DCS after a long break and am in the process of getting my setup back up and running. My current problem at the moment is TrackIR Iam sure that I used to have the centre and pause settings tied to my Warthog joystick pov hat at the top. But the TrackIR software just wont see these buttons when I press them and I cant remember how I did it in the past. Is there away in TrackIR or in DCS to tie the Joystick POV hat left and right to centre and pause. Thanks for the help

HOTAS Warthog problem Help required
Zzenith replied to Zzenith's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
No the metal insert is still there, when I mean loose I mean that the whole switch moves considerably within its housing in the throttle base. The switch still works am just concerned that it will get progressively worse and become unuseable -
I've recently noticed that the Flaps button on my Warthog throttle as become very loose, is there a way to tighten it up. Would appreciate any help on this matter Thanks

Reworked Cockpit Views with proper Neck
Zzenith replied to PeterP's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
Coming back to sim again after a break and am trying your neck view mod. After copying the required files and starting the game Iam finding the view to be too close to the controls it feels like my head is not on the headrest and is more in the middle of the cockpit If I wanted to how would I go about moving the head back so that it would be against the seat headrest. Or has something gone wrong with my install and the end result is supposed to have the head on or near the headrest -
Right this minute I'd rather have a new graphics engine and new maps. We've had the current for far too long and its getting a bit old and dull tbh. I'd happily pay for a new module which only had new graphics engine and or maps.

Thanks for all the replies folks But to clear up a point I can do Aileron rolls without a problem, It was the barrel roll with the "cork screw effect" I was struggling a bit with. When I viewed my tracks and tacview after attempting the maneuver I just felt that the size of the roll I was doing seemed lacking and so posted this in order to get some expert advice on how exactly to do a barrel roll properly. thanks
-
Hey all Trying to achieve a barrel role maneuver but I am not sure about what the correct procedure would be to pull it off. At the moment I am pulling up about 5 - 7 pitch then rolling either to left or right then at 90 roll I push the the stick forward into a slight dive while maintaining the roll. Is this right. When I view this back in tacview I seem to do a barrel roll but the size of the roll doesn't seem that big.. almost seems like a slightly bigger aileron roll. Any help advice on this Cheers

I am currently teaching myself all aspects of the TAD and TGP systems. At the moment I specifically want to focus on the SADL Network and JTAC functions of the sim. I want to make a mission where I can practice giving out attack assignments over the SADL to a wingman and also practice receiving attack assingments from JTAC. How do you go about setting up a mission to enable JTAC and wingman with the SADL enabled. Many thanks for the help

Hello there Not quite sure where to post this so put it here. Anyways I'm slowly getting to grips with the A10c but Iam looking to join a Squadron / Clan in the pursuit of having more fun and learning to fly the plane better. I am looking for a UK or English speaking friendly mature group that has an active roster and hopefully willing to advise and train a new pilot. I also have almost all the other modules ( purchased in the latest sale ) but am currently focused on the A10c. So if there are any UK based or English speaking groups out there looking for new members despite their lack of experience let me know. thanks
