  1. The big mistake of ED was first offer the FC3 with only the F-15 3D cockpit, also they had 3D model for the A-10A in plans, trying to discriminate all the rest. This now is fixed and almost all the FC3 aircrafts will have 3D cockpits. Really big mistake and I think a lot of people were upset about ED at this moment.

This crisis began at this moment. Is their fault I think

  2. What I do for MP misions is set only 2 MLRS units per group, also you can add 4 Self-propelled howitzers, then you have 2 MLRS and 4 howitzers. It is enough for a small area with some armors. So you get not critical FPS. About the bug of fire like a minigung, no idea I have not seen that yet

  3. ED is an expert selling the same product many times:

From FC1 to FC2, it´s ok, the entry to DCS world and fly with other products but:

    FC2 to FC3. And now FC3 to SU27 and F15 AFM

    BS1 to BS2

Now, i´m happy i don´t bought FC3, because i will buy the Su27 AFM alone

I know many people very angry because they bought FC3 and now knows about the DCS Su27 AFM. If they knew it, they wont buy FC3 and wait till SU27 AFM, but as i said, ED is an expert selling the same many times

    Greetings

Sorry but you have not rights. The word " Simulation ", means take one aircraft and one military hardware into the software, not make something like improvement that does not exist.

The FC3 have a great graphic and have 3D cockpits, also have the possibility to play against human ground forces ( combined arms ) where the level of simulation is so high, then you can flight using the A-10C or Ka-50 inside the mission.

So tell me where is the same, because the Mig-29 and Su-33 have the Ricardo pit like official addon.

You get the Su-27 AFM or F-15 AFM but then you have not Su-25/25T AFM, A-10A AFM and Mig-29S, Su-33, F-15, Su-27 all they SFM. So is your choise.

So FC2 and FC3 is not the same product, or you already forget the FC2 editor

  4.

Is the above correct? And if it is correct, in the worst scenario, if I buy FC3 today, I may need to pay more money to have the improved model, and eventually more money again to purchase (finally) the most advanced ones. To no count the fact that in MP (in the future) I may find ppl with the same airplane but with different physics, etc.

    I'm confused... :\

You understand all well. If you want buy FC3 you get 8 aircrafts ( actually you get two of them with AFM, Su-25 and 25T, also they are making the A-10A AFM for FC3 ). The Su-27 and F-15 add-ons will have AFM with the same 3D cockpit and you can buy it separatly like a single module without ubisoft Lockon priority.

  5. In the DCS World Overview video posted by Matt he stated that the SU-27SM and the F/A-18C and F-15 were created by ED and their "partners".

As Matt never referenced to their SU-27 (nor in the video nor in updates) as a SU-27SM, I guess the SM will come from a 3rd party. At least that's how I understood it.

Gotcha. Very excited with all the plans

  6. My question is, what happen with the two letters of the Su-27. Before was mention Su-27SM and now only Su-27.

If the plans are changed , it is all right, but at least tell us what happen with the SM version.

I think ED have the rights, to do money with the Su-27/F-15 AFM. But people where is the problem in this point?? They will do the F-18 too... All that take time... Why not some Add-ons to make money. Volk this is a business

  7. The Su25 already has AFM and the A-10A will be getting AFM in the future as part of FC3. I would assume the Mig and Su33 may be updated in due course again for a price....which is absolutely fair as they need funds and they cannot give everything away for free.

    +1

I guess maybe ED is interesting to do the same proyect for the Su-33 and Mig-29. I have bought the FC3, but if ED make an extra offer with a 3D cockpit and AFM for this birds ( like the F-15, Su-27 ), For sure, I will buy every single bird.

Please do not forget the Super Toat 25T and his 3D cockpit. You will get my money

PD: by the way, if make a super 3D model like F-15 and Su-27 is too much for the current graphic engine, then I dont care get something like the current Mig-29 textures, AFM and 3D cockpit will be very welcomes

  8. Bumb, need to move kneeboard too. Please someone help.

    Do what said Grimes:

Grimes: Its a pretty straight forward process to add new buttons to existing profiles.

Rename your keyboard.lua file to something else.

Start the sim, and go to the options for that aircraft. A new keyboard file will be generated.

Use notepad++ to compare the files. Copy and paste any new entries into your customized keyboard.lua.

Delete the default keyboard.lua and rename your customized one back to keyboard.lua.

  9. I want to use the trigger: Group resume, but this trigger does not response. I was trying first with the DSC World editor, but no idea what happen. Then I use the trigger creating the same situation with the BS2 editor and work fine. After that I test the same .miz in the DCS World and again non response when the Group resume is request

Here two .miz examples I have made with the BS2 editor:

    BS-resume.miz

    BS-resume-UD.miz

  10.

So you agree/accept everything written in the previous post ! I don't care about what concerns you and what relation you have created here.

I do really care about the ED rules and their opinion about it.

My fried, I never leave the things to be driven by luck.Never.

Man stop, and enjoy the sim. You wil see, all what you like you will get in the next few years. I am hopeful.

  11. :doh::doh::doh

When and where you start again I dont care. I have gave you some tipps and you answer me you were 100 years in ADA bla bla bla. If you are an expert, and you like compare your OSA, Tor-m1 and try to bring to our community your extensive knowledge I am sure you are wellcome, but let me tell you the CA is not a DCS Tor-m1 and a DCS OSA. If you like something like that, is not enough 20 years in ADA Units, also take other 20 years to be a good programmer and then you can show us and to ED how is the best way to do a software :D[/quote

I sent the first post here identifying a real issue and expressed expectations for a promising simulator.that was the reason I've spent money to preparchase CA.So i never put my "knowledge" for the ADA bla bla as an offer or ask for tips.

You , out of the blue, gave your answers on issues concerning ED.Are you ED moder or something ?If yes, thank you for your warm welcoming !If no, from whom you get the authority to be aggressive on me.I have the right to be in the forum and to ask everything I believe good for a better CA.

If you believe that the forum is a closed club you are wrong and I don't accept this.

You have to understand that you have the right only to contribute with knowledge to a real issue on the table if you can, leaving all the other assumptions to the pertinent ED people.

    I feel sad but I stay tuned...

    Pap

    exactly good luck

  12. For sure has ED to make more code, besides we invest money, they made us dreaming...

After 20 years in ADA Units (hawk,OSA,tor-m1 and Asrad Hellas stingers) I though that all you suggest to me it was a part of FCC solution and my job was to evaluate the threat and push the red botton...

Now sir I have to star from the beginning ...:poster_oops: :smilewink:

    Pap

  13. I read your edited PD above. So?Am I missing something ....or my post is not referred/approaches to the in envelope/in range calculation ?

    Pap

To do what you want ED should make more code and with what I have say you before, is good enough at the moment. You should know the capability of your SAM ( Radar tracking range/missile range/missile speed, is enough ). If we ask for a high level of simulation we should have too a good level of knowledge of our hardware...

Try and practice the way I have say you before, but try do it with a human pilot, that work :smilewink:

  14. I know that but this is not in range indication, just only the range of the target.

In envelope/in range indication besides the range needs the velocities of target and the missile, altitude, maximum missile flight time capability (basically) .

We have them all in A2A missiles, why not to SAMs...:(

    Pap

    See my PD above

  15. There is no in envelope/in range calculation for SAMs.:(

I hope one day will be.:smilewink:

    Pap

When you lock on, you already get a range calculation, down/left in the monitor.

PD: Any way if what you like is know the range of an inbound target ( with non lock on ), the range is calculate inside the F-10 view using the Distance tool.

    1- Distance tool on

2- Right click over the SAM position, you will see a line that calculate the distance and azimuth

3- Then, at the same time, left click over the target and you get the altitud/speed/heading in the target menu info ( down/Left in the monitor )

The only thing is not yet implemented is the elevation.

  16. Whilst I like this part of the simulation having to rely on visual tracking on all SAMS is pretty unrealistic.

You right, but all should be made step by step, our Sim is a really complex software and everything is made, should be tested. If ED do all what we like in one update, then every improvement will take so long. I think they are do it good.

I know first and foremost this is a flight sim,but if you offer a module that portrays realistic vehicles but not the sytems it's all downhill.

I think is imposible for a little company do everything in a high level of simulation. I believe that the new politic is open for the 3rd Parties, so if someone have an interesting proyect, ED could do a contract.

Radar is supposed to return target bearing altitude and speed,is it really that hard a LUA script

    cant do this.?

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=znBi8Lr35vs

The 1.2.4 is made to do something like that.

    1- early warning radar on

2- mediun and short range SAMs in silence.

3- is a new tool in the Editor, name Heading Manual, so maybe we can heading and aim the target and wait till they are in the non return zone, then silence mode off and fire.

Thank Grimes, but I will not do that. I wait for an official update to fix that. I have a lot of custom setting in my control config and I dont understand why I have this problem and only happen with the russian planes.

  18. To get the Kneeboard up I had to delete my "Keyboard.LUA" in... Users/yourname/Saved games/DCS/Config/Input/Aircraft type/Keyboard.

Then re enter the game and the Keyboard.LUA is automatically regenerated with the extra options.

If you have a lot of customised or changed keybindings from default you will need to re code them. If you have not changed the default key bindings you are good to go.

After doing this the Kneeboard works well using a momentary glance or Sticky mode.

are you sure that does not break something in my control config?

  19. The russian planes have not Kneeboard, why?? perhaps they should come with the Ka-50 maps format and this was not yet ready?? I have search all the forum and non explanation about this situation for the pilots

    Flaming Cliffs 3

    • Added kneeboard input to flyable aircraft.

    • MiG-29S TWS2 mode is now fixed.

    • Added intro image to Su-33 "Sea Dragon" campaign.

    • A-10A AOA Indexer now works.

    • Corrected some minor issues with new 3D Su-27 model.

    • Corrected wingmen maneuvers when turning.

    • Fixed wingmen not turning off radar when commanded to do so.

    • Fixed Su-27 campaign mission typos.

    • Pilots models are now correct.

    • Fixed F-15C Fuel Tank Pylon indication on MFD.

    • Fixed tanker not filling external F-15C fuel tanks.

    • Fixed Su-33 getting stuck near island on the Kuznetsov deck.

    • Corrected MiG-29 HUD indications.

  20. It is SARH (not a beam rider BTW, it is a homing missile :) ).

What you are talking about is possible with any SARH missile, but not done in practice usually.

The problem is that the two aircraft's radars would be on the same frequency, so they are could interfere (as in EMI) with each other, and make a mess of things if two different targets need to be attacked.

Copy, then I understand this is not implemented for FC3 aircrafts. I guess in the real life the frequency setting could be change inflight??
