  1. Hi Chuck -- (A/229) Phantom will take that last UH-1 gunship slot. Thanks.
  2. Put me down for that last Medevac, Chuck. Thanks. -dabomb
  3. $49.99. Ouch. Looks like you just missed the last flash sale, eh?
  4. Thanks for the info, mason. I was hoping you'd say it was close to the real thing. I've always wanted to fly one, and this is likely as close as I'm going to get. :smilewink:
  5. That's interesting info, mason1911. I have always had an interest in the Huey and older Vietnam-era Cobras. I know some crew chiefs were able to occasionally get some stick time in while on the job. If you managed to do so, how does this UH-1 sim feel compared to your experience? Is it fairly close?
  6. Fun fact: "Gunship UH-1s were commonly referred to as "Frogs" or "Hogs" if they carried rockets, and "Cobras" or simply "Guns" if they had guns. [/url]UH-1s tasked and configured for troop transport were often called "Slicks" due to an absence of weapons pods. Slicks did have door gunners, but were generally employed in the troop transport and medevac roles." :smilewink:
  7. You're right. it does update all INSTALLED modules to the latest version. But what if, like me, you launched DCS World yesterday and let it update, and then decided to download FC3 today? You'd be stuck. Like me. And scorpion80.
  8. My DCS World version is 1.2.2.7286. The current FC3 version available for download is 1.2.2.7122. I can't install this version into DCS World. Any idea when the 1.2.2.7286 version of FC3 will be available for download?
  9. http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows/products/lifecycle Win7 end of mainstream support: January 12, 2015 Win7 end of extended support: January 14, 2020 I wouldn't sweat it.
  10. Nevermind --got it sorted. I had the password correct, it was the username I had forgotten. Anyway, I still think the password recovery email functionality is broken as I never did receive anything from DCS.
  11. Hi guys, I am trying to recover my login password for the DCS site. It's been awhile since I've logged in there and I have apparently forgotten my password. Anyway, I enter my email address in the required field and submit it, and a message pops up saying an email has been sent, but it never arrives. I've checked my spam folder, not in there either. I've tried this a few times since yesterday, but still nothing. Is this functionality broken? If so, how can I recover my password?
  12. [Windows][End] will perform a quick shutdown (just as [Windows][Home] performs a quick start-up). I'm using an X52 Pro non-FFB stick, so can't help you there.
  13. I believe the reason it's not showing up in the Monitors drop-down in the Options is because there is an error in your .lua somewhere. While tweaking mine (I run shkval and ABRIS on my right monitor), I experienced the same issue. After checking my .lua, I noticed that one of the lines was missing a comma or semicolon or something--can't remember exactly, but it was a syntax error. Once corrected, it showed up in the drop-down list. You may want to post the contents of your .lua. Someone smarter than me can likely diagnose the issue. EDIT: Also, make sure you are editing your .lua files with Notepad++ (see link below) http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=35627
  14. Cool. I fly with FD off as well, for all the same reasons. But I am not nearly as smooth. Yet... :smilewink:
  15. That is some very nice flying. Just out of curiosity, do you fly with the FD enabled, or with the AP stabilization enabled (no FD)?
  16. I never implied this was a bug with the sim. This sub-forum is named "Bugs and Problems". This is merely a problem I am experiencing. Yes, I am running Win7 in windowed mode. You pretty much have to if you want to run multiple monitors, which I did mention. My display magnification is at the default 100%. What I failed to mention that may be useful is that I am using a TrackIR (5).
  17. Recently I noticed that I can no longer click directly on a button or switch with the mouse cursor. The actual "hit" detection, if you will, seems to have become offset somehow. For example, if I want to click on ABRIS button 4, I actually have to hover the mouse about a 1/4 inch below the button before the cursor will turn green and show me the call-out for that button. (hope that makes sense). Same goes for any other switch/button/dial in the cockpit. I have no idea why or how this started happening. The only change I've made is to add a second monitor to the right of my main one to display the SHKVAL and ABRIS. Has anyone else out there experienced this issue before? I did a quick search but didn't seem to find a match. Thanks for any input.
