Have you checked ..\Saved Games\DCS to see if the Slmod folder was created? It should have been created automatically after you moved the Scripts folder there and then launched DCS World.

You won't have to buy it again, no. Wait for the update to come out for the 1.5.3 stable (aka "live") release. The update is only available for the 1.5.3 Open Beta right now. Should be soon, probably in the next day or so.

That makes two of us. Why did you uninstall 1.5 when 2.0 came out? As of right now, 1.5 is the stable DCS World release and 2.0 is in open alpha and only contains the Nevada terrain. They are 2 separate installations and each are updated independently. They will be merged into a single install soon, but that day has not yet arrived.

As has already been stated, the *only* thing that can play those .trk files is DCS World. The .trk is NOT a video format (like mpeg, avi, mkv, etc). If you want your friend to be able to watch your .trk, he will have to install DCS World on his computer, or (as also suggested above) you will have to record the .trk on your computer with software that will save it in a compatible video format.

Translation for those readers over the age of 12: You are going to get "wrecked" (i.e. shot down or crash frequently).

The new (Edge) engine was released in October with the 1.5 Beta. You can fly the Mustang in the 2.0 Alpha now, provided you have purchased the Nevada terrain.

This issue is noted in post #1 under "Know Issues/Bugs".

Because of its coaxial rotor system, the KA-50 is much quieter than the Huey. You won't hear the rotor noise in the cockpit like you do in the Huey.

You must not have been around when there were 70% off sales almost every month. Now *that* was more like begging.

I use Steam for almost all of my games, but not DCS. It's implementation in Steam was flawed from the beginning and the key management was abyssmal. Maybe it has improved somewhat since then, but I believe DCS in Steam is more work than running standalone. Plus, patches are almost always released in the standalone version before Steam. :)

You're the first person I've ever seen that recommended DCS on Steam. May I ask why?
