Dcs 1.5 & NTTR on same server
dabomb replied to =DECOY='s topic in Multiplayer Server Administration
I'm glad to hear it's working now. I assume your team can see the servers in the server lists in 1.5 and NTTR and connect normally, but you have to connect by IP using the server's local IP address and port (either 10308 or 10309)? Is that correct? -
Dcs 1.5 & NTTR on same server
dabomb replied to =DECOY='s topic in Multiplayer Server Administration
So I did some testing on another PC here at the house. I set up a 1.5 server on 10308 and an NTTR server on 10307. I set up port forwarding on my router to allow access to those 2 ports, both TCP and UDP. I could not see either server in the server list in 1.5 or NTTR from my main PC which is on the same network as the server PC. I could, however connect to both of them via the local IP:port. Then, I had my friend check from his house. He could see both servers -- the 1.5 and the NTTR --in the multiplayer server lists. It's been a while since I tried hosting a dedicated server from my home. (The 3 DCS servers I manage are in a data center about 15 miles from my house) I'll poke around some more with the PC here at home. -
Dcs 1.5 & NTTR on same server

I've got to run for a couple of hours, but I'll check back in when I get back. I know we can get this sorted out -- I am currently running 1.5 and NTTR on the same box, and in the past I've run 2 x 1.5 servers AND NTTR on one box. It works. -

I spoke too soon. There are NTTR servers running on other ports. Sorry about that. -
Dcs 1.5 & NTTR on same server
dabomb replied to =DECOY='s topic in Multiplayer Server Administration
Okay. Just for something to try: We are running our NTTR server on the standard port, 10308, and our 1.5 on 10309. Maybe you could try setting your NTTR to 10308 and your 1.5 to 10307? I just looked at all of the servers in the NTTR multiplayer list and they are all running on 10308 (including our server). Maybe NTTR is picky about the port? I admit, it doesn't seem logical, but it's something to try and may get you up and running. EDIT: Nevermind -- there are NTTR servers running on ports other than 10308. Still may be worth a try though. -

Okay. Did you set the port to 10307 in your C:\Users\<username>\Saved Games\DCS.openalpha\Config\serverSettings.lua file? Here's an example from our serverSettings.lua: cfg = { ["isPublic"] = true, ["missionList"] = { [1] = "C:\\Users\\dcs\\Saved Games\\DCS.openalpha\\Slmod\\Missions\\229th Open World Map v5.miz", }, -- end of ["missionList"] ["listShuffle"] = false, ["port"] = 10308, ["advanced"] = { -
Dcs 1.5 & NTTR on same server
dabomb replied to =DECOY='s topic in Multiplayer Server Administration
Your 1.5 server would never appear in the 2.0 (NTTR) server list. Make sure you're running 2.0 and then go into multiplayer. You should see your NTTR server there. What is the name of your 2.0 server? I can check to see if it shows up in my 2.0 server list. -
Just updated and am having the same issue. Head-tracking only in cockpit. Outside cockpit mouse tracking works fine.

As mentioned above, all you would need to do is extract the .inf from the 7zip file, then right-click on it (the .inf file) and select Install. Super easy.

Not sure why you replied to me on this. I don't even own a Mac and thought the image I posted was self-explanatory.

I simply did what Wright GR1 did --I moved my taskbar over to the right side of the screen just to see if that would work and it did. If nothing else is working for you, give that a try.
-
Interesting. That worked. I actually was clicking on the taskbar. That never happened until the 11/3 update. Oh well. :) Thanks for the help gents.

Apparently I'm not making myself clear. What I am referring to is the last bullet in this list, taken from the most recent update's Change Log; I am asking if there is a workaround for that.
-
Full Screen disabled -- still doesn't work. Are you running 1.5.5.58891 with the Oculus Rift?
-
Sorry if this has been asked/answered before, I did look but came up empty. 1.5.5 has been updated as the current stable 1.5 release and the bottom screen buttons in the multiplayer UI appear to still be broken with the Rift. I can join a server by double-clicking on the server name --no problem there. However, I cannot interact with the EXIT, DISCONNECT or BRIEFING buttons. Is there a workaround for this issue? Thanks. -dabomb

How to Create a Dedicated Server. 10 Easy Steps

Can you post the specs of the machine you are trying to run the server on? Specifically, what model of CPU, how much RAM and what model GPU? -

I think you're referring to an SR client issue and the problem above is referring to the 1.2.8 server.exe. I updated the 229th dedicated SR server this morning and ran into the .Net issue. Installed .Net 4.6.2 and server is up and running. -dabomb

60Mbps = 7.5MBps (in case anyone was curious)

Thanks, Buzz Killington.

Better still, tell the server owner to run SLMOD. It can be configured to automatically kick or ban team killers.
