Could you all post your slew speed setup for the TGP slew, not what setting you use by inserting it in the MFD but in control setting. I am trying different settings in order to find the right mix between speed and smoothness for narrow view to track. This is what I use now for both horizontal and vertical: Deadzone = 25 Sat X = 100 SatY = 30 Curve = 0 This is nice, but would like it a bit faster and smoother, would love to hear what others use to see the difference, I know WarriorX uses this from another post: Deadzone = 5 SatX = 100 SatY = 100 Curve = 0 This is a bit too fast for me when in narrow FOV.

" I strongly suggest that you get used to flying without the linkage. If you have an inflight emergency it takes too long to get the throttles separated." Thanks will try this out.

try again I deleted some, thanks

It look like a good read, but, can only find it on Amazon uk, not in US Amazon sadly accept by Kindle.

Thanks guys.

"You should only be using the throttle for engine starts" You mean as far as pushing the throttle forward to idle instead of using keyboard assignment? it should not matter right? I could be wrong of course but I would think not. Either way I have tried in Dragons mission simply moving my throttle to idle physically and still not getting the engines to start. It seems that in his mission compared to my editor ramp start mission the APU rpm gauge only goes to 60% then starts going down to 0, were as in mine it goes to 100% then drops a little but still stays strong and loud.
-
Ok this is strange, when I set myself up in mission editor for a ramp start I can start the jet no problem, simple as can be and just like the tutorial, but, when trying to ramp start Dragons JTAC day mission it does not work the same. When I do a ramp start by my own in the mission editor I need to dis-engage my TM Hog hotas throttle so they are separate (each throttle moves interdependently) and then the throttle to idle button is Ralt + HOME and the engines fire up, BUT, when I go to Dragons mission and do the exact same thing the throttle does not move to idle by Ralt + HOME only to Ralt + page up, and the engines do not fire, actually the APU dial for rpm only goes to 60% were as in my created mission ramp start it goes to 100%, strange.
-
"you might want to try the more realistic start procedure of switching each engine to "MOTOR" first, letting the fan reach 30%, and then moving the throttle to idle and returning the engine switch to "NORM". and then hitting APU switch?
-
"Are you guys forgetting the Left and Right Main and Wing Boost Pumps to the ON position?" Yes Warrior I have those set, strange that my keyboard input for left engine idle is Ralt + page up and not Home, but it still moves the throttle to idle so I am pretty sure it is not that. I also understand the engine start up lamp on the right console up front lighting up and stopping when ready to fire up the second engine, my problem is nothing happens when my throttle goes to idle, I need to move both engine throttles up then slowly back for my right engine to start followed by my left. I will save my track then post if someone can tell me how to post it here, thanks.

Each time I try the ramp start whether it is in a mission or not I follow the steps exactly as the training tutorial and others do, but after I hit the APU button it fires and then settles down after a few seconds (rpm/fan settle) then I turn on the APU generator to power and when I go to move my throttle to idle it does nothing to start the engines, I actually need to move the throttle (both) up to half way, then slowly bring them back and then and only then my right engines starts up followed by my left soon afterwards, what am I doing wrong here? I follow the startup to the T but does not work for me.

Yes Hassata I have seen those and they contain nothing I am looking for, those are manuals on the A10 and a book or two which I have ordered, but, I am looking for more than that, books that pertain to A to G tactics or such.

Thanks guys for the great advice, but, I am more interested in reading up on such things in books, is there any good books on BAI (battlefield Air Interdiction) and ground pounding? thanks.

If I play on MP using LAN solo it should do the same correct? thanks alot

Excellent Dragon, best video's by far as far as instructional for me learning JTAC, and in 1080p is fantastic. One question, how did you switch to the briefing page while in flight to check coord's? thanks alot for these great missions and video's, make more if possible they are great.

Thank you, but, I am aware of Trackir settings and it is not checked under center for my mouse, it is how I set it on my throttle, that is why it is strange to me that 2 things (throttle/right mouse) center the device.

No not at all, but was curious if it can be sped up, nice to keep it in wide FOV and have the ability to zoom in faster and out rather than always using china hat FWD.

Hello all, I have been getting to know, learn and appreciate this great sim and the incredible A10C for what it can do and do well. Studying and reading the manual and watching as many videos as I can on YouTube and elsewhere on "How To" is fantastic and I learn something each time along with these great forums and good people. As much as watching and reading I have yet to really find material on ground attack procedures, what is the best approach, etc, etc. Can you all post good books you have read, websites that discuss ground attack, or anything that I can read to get a feel for entering a hostile area and making your bombs hit and getting home, I come from IL-2 (ww2) and also FC1&2 (pointy fighters) so I tend to "rush" the attack and not understand proper Ground Attack methods so any good reading would be great, thanks all.

No one!

Can the zoom function of the DMS switch be increased? not the slew speed but zoom? if so could someone post how or were, thanks.

I use the mic switch up for centering trackir and this is what is displayed in the trackir setup, but, in game my right mouse button also centers my trackir and I can't figure out why, I searched the inputs and can't find any mouse buttons that are set for centering and when I need to right click a button in game it is difficult because it always centers, any ideas as to why or were it can be located to change this? thanks all

Can we fly these as sp similiar to Dragons pack were we go to Multiplayer and use in LAN instead of online?

TM Hog Hotas and NWS button as modifier
ScEBlack1 replied to ScEBlack1's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
Thanks Nate, thats what was wrong then. Anyone know if the T.A.R.G.E.T. program can fix this to work as both? -
Hello all, I would like to know if some use there Pinky switch (NWS) as a modifier for other button presses and that the NWS press of it still works for laser on and NWS on ground when pressed solo? I previously made my NWS button on my throttle a modifier button, then used it to press while at the same time pressing my mic switch forward/aft to get my radios, I have my mic switch forward/aft to view in/out slow, but, it seemed like I could not use my NWS press for laser or NWS on the ground anymore? is this because it was configured as a modifier button? Hope this is not too confusing and makes sense.
