let me break it down. If you flew an SFM aircraft with a fully modeled clickable cockpit, you would be able to fly that aircraft in real life (but I wouldn't try and pull any air stunts) If you flew an AFM aircraft without a fully modeled clickable cockpit you wouldn't be able to fly it in real life. I don't know about the rest of you, but I get off on learning how to turn on and fly an A10C just like you would in real life. Real jet pilots don't press "G" to bring their gear up, or "R" to turn on the radar. And when I say "clickable cockpit" I'm not saying I want a bunch of useless switches to tinker with, I want to know that if you were to sit me in a real life counterpart, I could at least turn the damn thing on. How can you possibly say AFM is more important than an interactive cockpit.
-
personally I think the fully interactive cockpit is more important than the AFM. DCS quality aircraft should have interactive cockpits, AFM would be nice... but cockpits come first imo

Guys I said in a perfect world, I didn't say I expected it to happen. I don't think FC3 is going anywhere, and obviously I don't expect Combined Arms to be made free. If we could go back in time, it'd be nice to see that... but what happened has happened. I'm just giving hindsight. The only thing I'd like to see now, is two VERY CLEAR designations for ED products. DCS quality, and NON-DCS Quality. It'd be nice to see big obvious separations/categories in the stores (ED store and Steam) and also on the DCS World main page. I know low fidelity products have helped pay for DCS World in general, but still... I'd like to see some kind of effort made to draw a clearer line. Like... it would be nice for all low-fidelity products labeled as just Flaming Cliffs and high fidelity products labeled DCS. Right now we have A10A "DCS" Flaming Cliffs. I don't think that's okay, its misleading.

It would be nice to see a quality standard (or at least a clearer line drawn for NON-DCS quality products) for DCS World. I have people who think the A10A is an A10C quality product, and that Combined Arms is a Steel Beasts Pro PE level tank simulator. It would be nice to see all DCS World products featuring at minimum a fully interactive cockpit and advanced flight model. In a perfect world, I'd like to see Flaming Cliffs 3 dropped from DCS World, Combined Arms made a free default feature of DCS World, and the A10A, SU25 and SU25T brought up to A10C standards. I'm not saying like... if this doesn't happen I'll stop buying DCS products or anything... but as a consumer I feel obligated to share my views after spending so much time with your products. I think consumer confidence is being compromised with so many potential buyers becoming confused and put-off with erratic DCS World module quality.

That is what they have said

DCS: WWII 1944 Discussion So this looks amazing, but I have a few questions Will all the flyable aircraft in this module be at DCS P51 quality? I absolutely hope so. And of course please use this thread for other discussions, since I can't find any other thread where we can discuss this new module
-
uh, I don't think that has anything to do with it many many many games have had steam migrations kerbal space program to name one of them
-
When all the ED products go live on steam, can I migrate my purchased addons to that platform? It works the other way around, so I don't see why it couldn't happen
-
yes please let FC3 owners get a greatly reduced price

"don't think the AI could handle it properly" what makes you think I'd be flying with AI? haha and tbh if they started on the apache NOW they'd have the multi-crew systems ironed out WAY before the apache is finished lol

I would like to start seeing a push towards DCS "Study-Sim" quality products for Infantry and Ground Based Vehicles. This would of course require an overhaul of terrain generation and detail (likely close to ArmA's level of detail) but I would of course be willing to pay, and I think it would be well worth it. If DCS world could ultimately have a complete suite of combined arms military weapons, equipment, and vehicles all at DCS "Study-Sim" quality, I believe this would solidify Eagle Dynamics' and DCS's place as the ultimate military simulator. Hopefully the infantry system could focus on having movement and control schemes close to games such as Red Orchestra 2 or ArmA III, and the ground vehicles (Tanks, Humvees) and infantry equipment (Javelin, Radios) could maintain the same kind of depth and quality in interactivity we've seen from DCS A10C. Ideally if this ever happened it would be nice to eventually see a "starter" package containing at least a few vehicles from every variant for both blufor and opfor (IE infantry, light vehicle, tank, helicopter, jet, bomber) so a single price of admission could allow for players to immediately dive into combined arms games of AAS, or scenario missions. I know this is a long shot, and more of a dream than anything. But where does anything start if not with dreams... DCS A10C was as much a dream as this at some point. Let me know what everyone thinks.

I'm looking to mount my warthog throttle and stick to my desk, there's unfortunately a lip on the desk, and I can't mount them to my chair or up from the floor. I'm not interested in using the Joyloc since A: its very expensive and B: I doubt it would fit my desk anyways. I've been brainstorming and looking everywhere for a way to securely mount my stuff to the desk, but I can't seem to find anything that really sticks out to me. There has to be some kind of clamp, or underside desk mount, or something anything that could handle this job, I was hoping someone would maybe have an idea on this forum... =/

TM Warthog Flightsticks
Bluedrake42 replied to Bluedrake42's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
I swear there was someone making these, it was a F15C flight stick or something Someone on the forums -
I remember seeing something about this, and now I can't find it anywhere So the flightstick for the TM warthog is removable Are there any official or third party plans to make different sticks you can use? Perhaps F15C sticks or more?

Custom Interchangeable Flight Controls
Bluedrake42 replied to KomodoSim's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
can you do both? I already have the warthog and I would LOVE more grips for it =D -
um... isn't the new huey supposed to be multi-seat multiplayer? lol
-
pretty sure there's a wishlist thread for something like this I forget though.
-
jesus wtf really? that blows =( I guess not
-
I wouldn't =P I'd leave it on the whole time, sometimes flights get long as hell not to mention who doesn't like blazing some metal when you're gunning down terrorists ;D
-
no no I know, I mean like INSIDE the cockpit though, so its actually part of the sound environment, so you can hear it as if its on the dashboard, and you could also control it with your mouse
-
idk I think this would be cool haha, what if there was an MP3 player on your dashboard or something you could control by clicking with the mouse that would play music in the cockpit xD you could put it on shuffle and stuff, maybe even have playlists.

Whenever the P51 fires (especially when there's more than one) my FPS drops a lot, really similar to the way the mobile rocket artillery drops my fps as well.
