metalnwood, seriously, if you just knew the amount of work Renato71 invested in this game (or to be exact a part of it's community) you wouldn't talk like that. Thanks to his labor he managed to quadruple the number of active Croatian members, that fly and BUY the simulations, he maintains the Croatian community forum, Croatian IL-2 and FC2 league. So even if he was trying to get some credit for his work it would be more than deserved and nobody who knows his work will think that's arrogant... Now he his sarcasm is 100 or 200 times greater than his ego, so when he mentioned why wouldn't somebody buy him a copy when they would be willing to pay 200$, he was sarcastic. On the other note 60$ is really a lot to pay for a game. Now i would much rather spend 40$ on Civilization V. Why? Because Civ V gives me thousands hours of fun just like some claim FC/DCS does for them. But with 40$ i pay I'm worthy of their time when i say i found a bug, don't have to write 5-6 huge posts to prove it's not me it's a bug, mostly fending off people who have almost no connection with the developers, i have a HUGE number of mods and conversions, the game is very open to modding. When people say it's not the same, that DCS is a simulator and everybody can play CIV 5 i say well everybody can play DCS can't they? It has an arcade mode... And about the full realism options, there is a lot of ways to make CIV 5 so difficult that you need more time and nerves than for any flight sim... Also for just 20$ more than A-10 I get the collectors edition with a lot of goodies, here i don't even get a printed manual (I KNOW it's huge, but still it would be a nice touch to get at least a part of it...) And I agree that making this an elitist simulation is just plain wrong. I don't have all the fancy peripherals I have a Saitek Aviator which was given to me by a friend, i don't have Track IR, and my headphones cost like 30HRK which equals to about 6$. Yet i really like modern jets, they are a passion for me and i spend a lot of time reading about them and watching videos. This is starting to look like Croatia or America, not an forum. Either you are totally with us or you are the heathen that wants to threaten our way of life. Here everybody takes criticism like it's a loyalty thing. And trust me the Croatian community IS loyal, but we still get treated like second class citizens because our purchasing prowess isn't on par with some of the best off here on the forum. That being said a realistic price would be about 30-40$. Simply put, Gabe Newell has a really nice point, discounts are made to increase profit, cheaper games are more likely to get considered upon purchase. Regards Arg0n.

Sharkster if you are using windows 7 make sure you start DCS as an administrator, i had the same problem where it won't let me access the options, and i noticed I was not running DCS as an administrator, changed it and everything worked. Hope that helps. =VARP=Arg0n

Hey druid i was able to completley stabilise it and land back wheels first very gently (first the weels touch the ground and then the helicopter's weight comes on the wheels) But still outside roads/buildings/airfields it is very hard to land without tipping over, but very tipping isn't the problem, the problem is the helicopter explodes quite often when the blade strikes the ground.

I also noticed when you have an engine faliure and try to land in a field a wierd thing can happen. I was hit by a stinger but survived, extinguished the flame on that engine, shut down it's fuel supply and went to emergency mode for the second engine and jettisoned all weapons, now i was able to fly for a few minutes but then i started to lose power and I decided to land in a field. My descent rate was about 0.5-1 meter per second, but upon landing the helicopter tipped to the side (despite it being leveled out and landing on level ground). The very second the blade touched the ground the helicopter exploded. So my wish is to find out is this a rare occasion or is it more frequent.

I wish there were loads for transports. What I mean is a CH-47 airlifting a howitzer, Humvee etc. Also it would be nice for us to non vehicle ATGM launchers and to have towed artillery pieces in the game.

The really interesting thing is that people always assume the worst. Why do you even have a piracy alet chromosome? That kind of attidute is like a police officer searching anyone who, for example said the word marijuana. Also about newbies, I personally had a lot of them come to me to get instructions on how to play. With a couple of them I spent about an hour online just to get them to fire a Vikhr at a target, all of them read the manual and the quick start guides, but they still needed help. So even RTFM isn't always helpfull. And when it comes to attitude and politness RTFM is not a polite phrase now is it? Instead of RTFM you could have looked through the manual and said: "Read the page XXX in the manual, hope it helps." or "The info you seek is on page XXX in the manual." If you don't like looking thorugh the manual and have nothing helpfull (or polite) to say, then don't reply.

Well it could be a CMYK color model. It would be logical since it has 4 values Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Key (Black). So try that.

I completley agree with Renato. Why should I buy the best when I won't use it to it's full potential. It's like buying cell phones: Why should I spend 200 Euros to buy a cell phon with bluetooth, mp3 player and 3 megapixel camera, when I only need to call somebody or send an SMS and for that i just need a phone which costs 50 Euros? Or why should I get a Lamborghini Murcielago when a simple Yugo serves my needs (BTW we will miss you Yugo :)). Same goes for FT if i only need to control the view up, down, left and right, do I really need TIR? Also I see a lot of people making remarks that FreeTrack users are leeches. Some of you people don't get it: I don't need, or cannot afford the best, why not settle with a cheaper alternative? Just because I cannot afford the real deal does that mean I should convict myself not to use it at all? If NP is really concerned about their products they should keep making TIR cheaper and more advanced, to expect that they would just need to put something on the market and make money indefinitely is just foolish. Nature does not tolerate vacuum, if FT would not exist somebody else would be there to fill the role. Competiton is the driving force of the market, if it weren't for FreeTrack i think that TIR would today be a lot less sophisticated device than it is now. P.S. I am NOT a criminal, or a cheapskate, I paid for my computer, and the DCS. Just because i don't need something or cannot afford it doesn't mean that somebody is better than me morally or otherwise, some of the people here made such allusions despite the fact that I (or the rest of FT supporting people) have never said anyting to insult them, but they keep insulting us. I don't agree with you, I am aware about the memory mode but it happens even when the target is right in front of me. Other times I destroyed a target, and them i try to move to the next target the shkval stars acting wierd and then i cannot lock anything (the target locking is only one example, there ARE others). Also about this moving ground target, I have read the manual, but when you reset the skhval all of the controls reset for it including НПЦ. So that is ruled out. I am 100% certain that it is not the scan mode because to start it you have to uncage it the second time, and it is separated from the keyboard slew controls, or in the case of the joystick, it's not even on my stick. Also when this happens I center the skhval it persists in moving that way. Also I have also tried to completley reset the targeting system, but to no avail. By resetting the whole K-041 system you should be bring it under control if it were a pilot's mistake, but it it doesn't fix it so I am pretty certain it is a bug. Also Boberro mentioned the same thing happening to the view, I also had that problem but only in windowed mode (the first day I had the game installed). Arg0n.

Well the same thing happens to me when i slew the skhval, but it sometimes happens when I use the keyboard slew keys. The scan mode moves the skhval at a constant speed and in horizontal plane (relative to the helicopter), but when the stated problem occurs the target designator can go horizontal, diagonal or any way, and also it accelerates like when you are using the slew buttons. I'm certain it is not the scanning mode because i cannot lock anything anymore when it starts moving. To me it doesn't happen often (once per 20+ flights) but when it happens i have to recover, change aircraft or something because it rarely stops by itself.

Renato has a point, I also worked on Croatian Air-force mod so I would like to see Croatia as a playable side... The other guys from the mod agree with me. I hope you will listen to our pleads and include Croatia in the mod.

Hey that's great Renato! I'm glad somebody made a step forward to help the Croatian pilots! As far as I know this is the only complete FC translation ever made, except English and Russian!
