    net module

    Thanks Ajax. So my problem now is how to hook correctly and how to run commands through it later while the mission is running. I tried investigating their main . Lua, from what I saw they are loading their own files from within main.lua, now the question is if there's a way to make the net available in the mission scripting environment afterwards somehow?
  2. I wrote one like this nirvi. Not sure which they are using. Guys it will not happen for limiting ground commanders. 1. We want to keep the server for the whole community. 2. Limiting for ground commander slots at certain times while one side has them and the other not is not fair. Therefore not gonna move forward with this change. Subject closed :) On the other hand many new features are coming!
  3. That's a great idea Gruja. I will look into implementing it, but I'm not sure if it's distinguishable.
  4. If anyone see this happening, first please confront the player who does it and ask why. If the explanation is not sufficient, please refrain from getting into an argument over it and just send the information to us. we will make sure to contact that person if available and he will have to suffer the consequence in case he has no good explanation.

    net module

    Hey guys, I'm looking for a way to use the global net module that is explained in the DCS World\scripts\net\readme.txt file. I know Servman and SLMod are using it. Also I saw an issue with Servman, it is trying to get the following - if not players then local players = server.tblPlayersSrv end But I believe that the server.tblPlayersSrv is no longer available or that the command changed, as Players seems nil when servman is initiated. Anyway, if anyone can guide on how to get access to the server and net global modules it would be great for future events we are planning. Also if there is a list of functions/tables that are available it would be nice. Thanks! Xcom
  6. We are in the process of testing new features this week. Next week or by the end of this week the 2nd round will start and the server should be more stable. Helos at FARPs are hot start, at airbases are cold start.
  7. Thanks Gruja! I can tell you that each time I saw you on the red team in the server, either in the su25t or ground commander I knew we were in trouble at the blue side! We are working on limits for the campaign, thank you for your feedback we will try!
  8. By moving the cursor on each icon and popping up the tool tip, you can see which objective it is.
  9. We will definitely install LotATC on the server during this week and the stress test. But we will have to do everything in stages, if we find any issues we will post on the LotATC thread, DArt, your support would be mostly appreciated! Thanks Pikey & Viff.

  11. A little update. We now added ServMan for server administration. In consequence, the pilots online in the website or the gadget is not updating, so please don't rely on it until it is fixed. However, the map is updating correctly. Using ServMan we will be able to create the ban lists we wanted to keep the server free of problems and also to limit the ping which is currently set to a limit of 300. The server will run with ServMan this week to stress test how it holds again with the large numbers we had in the campaign (around 60). So please help us, whenever you are able join and enjoy the stress test so we can get a picture of how the server holds now under stress with ServMan installed.

  13. TS looks to be up. I heard Master Arms were working on something called MARS which incorporates usage of the airplanes & choppers frequencies and radio systems. Not sure where it stands, but if it is ready to be used for in game voice comms, it would be amazing to add to the campaign!
  14. SERVER HAS BEEN RESET. Situation is back to the start. It will be running during the week as a stress test while we add new features. Continuity will be kept until the start of the next round, so any actions you do will be saved during the week and in each restart of the server. We will try to do the maintenance as we test the features without any interference, but there might be some maintenance times during the week. Have fun!
  15. You have no way to recapture anything with the city units. It is also not allowed to move units from one objective to the other. :)
  16. CONGRATS TO THE BLUE SIDE!!! Thank you everyone for honestly a very surprising campaign! We never expected this much hype and we appreciate all the feedback you are giving us! Great efforts from both sides! It was amazing to fly with everyone, especially to have all the squadrons and lonewolves in the Teamspeak to meet finally the voices behind the nicknames! As we saw, winning this campaign had to come from coordination and organization, flying alone would never allow a side to win. I never enjoyed getting shot down so much, it was the best experience I had in online flight simulators since I started flying with ViFF in the old WarBirds in 1999. I'd like to thank my colleagues at Buddy Spike - Greg - For his unstopping ambition to bring something amazing to this excellent community, insight on balancing and performance, and eventually for suffering my stupid scripting bugs :) Crash - For his great videos (you must watch them!) and incredible gadget/dynamic map, without it this campaign would not be complete! Also to anyone who assisted us with bringing this campaign out, thank you all! Greg will update here soon about the next round! We have gathered most of the feedback and are constructing something that we hope will answer most of the requests. Stay tuned! EDIT - Just saw the requests to put it back up so people can fly there. We will put up a new version we have and it will be as a stress test so we can test some new features meanwhile and everyone can still join and fly while the test runs. (it will still be consistent) Server will be restarted soon.
  17. If there was only air to air going on, there would be no advance in the campaign. And as it looks by now, blue side has captured all the north east of the red side bases. Are you in the TS? I suggest you join in as most of the coordination is done there, and both sides are trying to work together on a regular basis.
  18. Thanks, we already got a report about this and we are planning to fix it. As this is a good time as any, tomorrow morning we will put the server down for maintenance for around 1 hour. We will try to do it as fast as possible so the server will be back up, we know it's Sunday :)

While you were bz up there, I was getting the lonewolves to attack Sochi, it was organized and we did a great job and I'm sure that because of our attempts a big number of fighters went our way instead of north towards the Vody mission. We also though of a way to accommodate this, we will place them into a lonewolves squadron like which will be under some rules. Still in future features that we are working on. The goal eventually is to have these campaigns as manageable as possible. All deductions from these feedbacks will be made and action will be taken in future events, that's a promise :)
  24. Unfortunately, there will always be players that would join and kill stuff that they shouldn't either by mistake or because they want to create some chaos. However, we are attempting to keep strict lists on those players and will add them to a constant ban list which they will not find so easy to get out of, I can promise you that! So be this a warning to anyone who tries to stir up things on the server, although it is open, you will eventually lose the ability to participate in all of our upcoming campaigns and events, because you will be placed into a very strict ban list. About taking missions more seriously by trying to stay alive and not just jumping out of the plane. We are working on future features that would include statistics and most probably plane/helicopter limits. This will make sure people respect their plane as it will not only hurt their overall statistic, it will hit the manifest of available airplane/helicopter of the whole squad/coalition. About removing certain weapons, at the moment we try to avoid enforcing or limiting weapons because of 2 reasons - 1. Each time we limit something there will always be people on the other side who would not like it. 2. And this is the major reason, stability is everything in this campaign, we found that touching the weapons/fuel/unit limits on airbases create big tables in the mission file which eventually is translated into lag in large scale mission. Therefore, we want to try and avoid doing this at the moment, but we certainly do not cancel it for future options and will keep all feedback and notes from you guys to look after and consider for the future events!
  25. LotATC is currently not working on the server because in previous versions that we tested there were constant problems that affected stability. We will test this in the future and in case we don't find any issues, it will surely be incorporated in the campaigns as it is an excellent tool!
