You're more likely to disable a modern MBT than destroy it outright. In-SIM it's possible to cook an M1 with 70 rounds.
I think it was discussed that even a 25x137mm, as fired from a Bradley's M242 can penetrate the top armour above the engine at the rear where the ventilation is, where it's typically <100mm RHA. One did so accidentally (range wasn't stated).
