1. PLEASE DISREGARD ALL PREVIOUS EMBLEMS AND USE THIS ONE GUYS.
2. Options > Audio Make sure the 'World, Cockpit, Radio' volumes aren't turned down.
3. Yeah it was that and the the rudder holding. Uh I'm only using 3GB of 8GB of RAM during the game play. All my settings are max. I have a 2GB GDDR5 PNY nVIDIA GTX650 Ti. My processor is a 4 x CPU 2.8GHz. :pilotfly:
4. I did the cold start tutorial and when it was over I decided to try my luck at taking off. My FIRST TIME too! I did it and I got up about 300ft and started moving. I was a bit wobbly and had to counter the tail rotor pretty hard. I did my take off in 'F2' view to admire this beautiful model they made. I went to switch back to 'F1' cockpit and it would not come up at all. Bug I guess right or am I missing something here? Anyway is there some sort of trim function like of fixed winged aircraft to keep from having to twist my stick (okay laugh it up) to hold the bird straight? :helpsmilie:
5. I'd like the new 'Twin Huey' USMC version. 6. Hello, Many of you have seen my S-3B poll. I generated that so maybe a third party developer would be intrigued enough to take it on. There are a lot of yes votes for it. And like someone said, "The engine is already in game". So, that data wouldn't be hard to get. I would like to propose another Naval aircraft. This one is none other than the infamous A-6E Intruder. It's the only plane that the Navy had that could carry 1/2 it's wet weight in ordinance (18,000lb max) and still do a barrel roll. That's 2.5 B-17G's worth. SPECIFICATIONS: General characteristics Crew: two (pilot, bombardier/navigator) Length: 54 ft 7 in (16.64 m) Wingspan: 53 ft (16.15 m) Height: 15 ft 7 in (4.75 m) Wing area: 529 ft² (49.15 m²) Airfoil: NACA 64A009 mod root, NACA 64A005.9 tip Empty weight: 25,630 lb (11,630 kg) Useful load: 34,996 lb (15,870 kg) Max. takeoff weight: 60,626 lb (27,500 kg) Powerplant: 2 × Pratt & Whitney J52-P8B turbojets, 9,300 lbf (41.4 kN) each Zero-lift drag coefficient: 0.0144 Performance Maximum speed: 563 knots (648 mph, 1,040 km/h) Range: 2,819 nmi (3,245 mi, 5,222 km) Service ceiling: 40,600 ft (12,400 m) Rate of climb: 7,620 ft/min (38.7 m/s) Lift-to-drag ratio: 15.2 Armament Hardpoints: 5 total: 4 wing and 1 fuselage with 18,000 lb (8,170 kg) load Rockets: 2.75 in (70 mm) FFAR Rocket Pod 5 in (127 mm) Zuni Rocket Pod Missiles: AIM-9 Sidewinder air-to-air missile AGM-45 Shrike anti-radiation missile AGM-62 Walleye TV-guided glide bomb AGM-65 Maverick air-to-ground missile AGM-84 Harpoon air-to-ground missile AGM-88 HARM anti-radiation missile Bombs: Mk 81 250 lb (113 kg) GP bombs Mk 82 500 lb (227 kg) GP bombs Mk 83 1,000 lb (454 kg) GP bombs Mk 84 2,000 lb (907 kg) GP bombs Mk 117 750 lb (340 kg) GP bombs Mk-20 Rockeye II cluster bombs CBU-89 GATOR mine cluster bombs Mk 77 750 lb (340 kg) incendiary bombs GBU-10 Paveway II laser-guided bombs GBU-12 Paveway II laser-guided bombs GBU-16 Paveway II laser-guided bombs B43 nuclear bomb B57 nuclear bomb B61 nuclear bomb B83 nuclear bomb Various air-dropped landmines Various air-dropped underwater mines Various practice bombs [Mk-76, BDU-45, LGTR, etc.] Others: Up to 5× 330 US gallons (1,200 L) external drop tanks for extended range/ferry flight/loitering time Good Documentary:
7. I'm just wondering how the multi stations would be handled. The TACCO is the one who fires the missiles. The SENSO is the one who finds the targets and sends them to the TACCO. The pilot just fly's the plane. The COTAC is the co-pilot. I'm assuming he is a bombardier just like in the A-6E.
8. LOL :megalol: RAZBAM is already on it. Check his threads and Fcaebook.
9. Hate to resurrect but what happened with this?
10. I didn't say it can carry more ordinance just different kinds the A-10C cant carry. :) The A-10 does have flares though and the JDAM. The S-3 has the AGM-84 Harpoon and SLAM-ER. The SLAM-ER can be controlled in flight and be redirected to another target if the primary target is destroyed by another aircraft or is no longer dangerous. It can also be launched from 155nm away.
11. I was juts trying to be funny brother. I wish they had avatars for the answers because I wanted to put 'Ice Man' in there. Well, it can fly off a carrier and land on one and land at at airfield and take off from one. An A-10 cannot do that and the S-3 can carry a bigger assortment of weapon types and can be a tanker as well. The Navy (and speaking from experience as an aircrewman on P-3C Orion's) hasn't hunted subs since the 1980's. We are more Anti-Surface than anything. This is why I was trained on the APS-137 ISAR (Inverse Synthetic Aperture RADAR). It is very much like looking at a 3D sonogram. And it's all digital. We see target tracks then we lock them up and then bring them up. And we can see in 3D what you are. The new P-8 Poseidon which the company I now work for builds I am sure has "Much mo betta" equipment as my instructor used to say. I would love to see a P-3C in DCS but it has 5 tactical stations in it an 11 crewman. Speaking from experience it would take a team of 20 programmers to make that plane. My Sensor 3 duties could easily be a 20"in thick book or more.
12. I was just wondering how many people in here would want a Carrier-bourne Anti-Surface/Ground Attack plane? I think the S-3B Viking would be a wonderful addition to the DCS World modules. It can carry bombs, missiles, torpedoes and depth charges and even nukes. Just give it some thought and vote in the poll. General characteristics Crew: 4 (Pilot, Co-Pilot/COTAC, TACCO, Sensor Operator/TFO) Length: 53 ft 4 in (16.26 m) Wingspan: Unfolded: 68 ft 8 in (20.93 m) Folded: 29 ft 6 in (9.00 m) Height: 22 ft 9 in (6.93 m) Wing area: 598 ft² (55.56 m²) Empty weight: 26,581 lb (12,057 kg) Loaded weight: 38,192 lb (17,324 kg) Max. takeoff weight: 52,539 lb (23,831 kg) Powerplant: 2 × General Electric TF34-GE-2 turbofans, 9,275 lbf (41.26 kN) each *Internal fuel capacity: 1,933 US gal (7,320 L) of JP-5 fuel External fuel capacity: 2x 300 US gal (1,136 L) tanks Performance Maximum speed: 429 kn (493 mph, 795 km/h) at sea level Mach 0.79, 450 kn (514 mph, 828 km/h) at 20,000 ft (6,100 m) Cruise speed: 350 kn (405 mph, 650 km/h) Stall speed: 97 kn (112 mph, 180 km/h) Range: 2,765 nm (3,182 mi, 5,121 km Combat Radius: 853 km [31]) Ferry range: 3,368 nm (3,875 mi, 6,237 km) Service ceiling: 40,900 ft (12,465 m) Rate of climb: 5,120 ft/min (26.0 m/s) Wing loading: 68.5 lb/ft² (334 kg/m²) Thrust/weight: 0.353 Armament Up to 4,900 lb (2,220 kg) on four internal and two external hardpoints, including: 10 × 500 lb (227 kg) Mark 82 bombs 2 × 1000 lb (454 kg) Mark 83 bombs 2 × 2000 lb (908 kg) Mark 84 bombs 6 × CBU-100 cluster bombs 2 × Mark 50 torpedoes 4 × Mark 46 torpedoes 6 × mines or depth charges 2 × B57 nuclear bombs 2 × AGM-65E/F Maverick missiles 2 × AGM-84D Harpoon missiles 1 × AGM-84H/K SLAM-ER missile The two underwing hardpoints can also be fitted with unguided rocket pods or 300 US gal (1,136 l) fuel tanks. 13. I never got one, can you send it again?
14. I applied and got this message. Everything else worked though. 8 Undefined index: unit_select /var/www/132web/handlers/page/register.php 41 I applied for the 'Eyes of the North' 176th Sqn
15. F-14 HUD detail: http://www.anft.net/f-14/f14-detail-cp-d-pilot-02.htm
16. I'll do it, what is you TS address?
17. Hello all I made this 1920 x 1080p wall paper for you all to download and apply.
18. The phraseology is completely WRONG from ATC. The whole thing should go as follows. You: "Batumi Approach, Enfield two-one, two-one miles south west of Krymsk, squawking two-one-one-six, request I-L-S approach runway one niner." ATC: "Enfield two-one Batumi Approach, RADAR contact two-one miles south west of Krymsk, squawk three-one-two-fife, turn left heading two-two-zero to intercept the I-L-S localizer, descend and maintain two-thousand, report when established on the localizer." You: Parrot what they instructed you to to do (read back). You are then established some time later..... ATC: "Report fife miles." You: "Fife miles." ATC: "Wind one-seven-zero at six, runway one niner, cleared I-L-S approach. At three D-M-E contact tower three four zero point two. You: "Three D-M-E switching." at least that's how I remember it. I haven keyed up in a TRACON in fife years. Yes 'FIFE', that is how we say Five in ATC as to not confuse the pilot with Nine. Sometime transmissions are weak and or garbled and or a combination of both. My experience 9.5 years US Navy ATC. 15.5 yrs total service.
19. Sorry I am not familiar with the 'Bugs'. I was a Tomcat guy. And this one is the 'E'. The 'F' is a two seater.
20. Someone asked for the F-18E Super Hornet box art? Here ya go:
21. It is a very complicated aircraft to make. You not only have the pilot systems but also the RIO (RADAR Intercept Officer) systems to make. And they have to work together. I'd rather wait and let them get it right than have a busted Tomcat SIM. My W.A.G. (Wild Ass Guess) is maybe Dec 2016 or Spring 2017. The NATOPS for this plane is over 1000 pages long. I offered to put them in contact with areal F-14A & B pilot. His was my Division Officer back when I was in VF-32. I hope they respond soon.
22. OMG I just read, it is VIPER, not a Falcon?
23. Oh no offense taken at all brother how is this? :joystick:
24. Oh snap it is an 'I' isn't it OMG. I need to fix this when I get home.
