  1. I have noticed that when flying under 20 feet the ground effect ..ie dust kicked up by rotors cuts FPS in half practically.The effect is a little too busy. This is the same on land or over water. Another one for ED to work on hopefully and fix.:book:

  6. I preferred the previous water animation and color...ships stood out much better against the darker color and it looked more lifelike. ED should darken the default color a wee bit. But since water is rendered over the entire map..maybe it was causing the fps loss for most people. hey nate went through all the water settings....its still the old water
  7. The new water is gone in version 6192 when set to low....thats a shame...I thought it looked great and didnt cause me any fps loss... another step backwards ED. But noticed big fps increase in 6192.
  8. I think this game series is fast approaching a "cheesed off point" for most people..ED beware
  9. Update version 6120 changes the config for skins now but leaves them listed resulting in missing textures...ie orange skin Now thats a step backward ED.
  10. The "high.lua" settings were changed in new version and probably should be called Very High....ie a fourth setting...very high ,high ,medium,low.

If you have ESET smart security set up in INTERACTIVE MODE..you will get the firewall asking you about inbound and outbound communication...ie the game trying to connect out...simply allow the application temporarily...same applies to single or multiplayer.Or you could remember the rule and never be asked again.
  12. It doesnt move skins..they stay in liveries and in game...moved my config file and blue shark pit to the backup folder and restored originals.
  13. Maybe you need to limit your fps....to keep those "shutters" to a minimum.:thumbup:

  17. I think your radeon is about 30% less umph by comparison and a mid range card at best...this game wants more
  18. looks very good when skimming over at 20 feet in BS...and thats on low setting...I think its the best water yet
  19. my options...scenes medium..water low...vis range low..preload 60000 your gfx card could be your bottleneck..my resolution 1920x1200...and a second monitor for mfcd
  20. try scenes to medium...vis range lower..and preload half what you have...im getting 60fps in same mission at start with quad 3.0ghz and gtx 580. Flying low level to the carrier over water is great..that new water is fantastic...very immersive even on low
  21. Fixed...thank you Mustang and ED. Been flying last few hours...new version looks great..even on my low settings and even better with this fix.
  22. Positive..try setting vis range to low It changes when you set it to medium Just think its a poor lod and the range setting shouldnt effect the visuals of a pod on your aircraft!

Hi all....this has been annoying me since DCS world came out:helpsmilie: When vis range is set to low in options the mps-410 model is a low polygon mess ..the lod is wrong...you can see it out the pit window It needs fixing ED..please ps ..loving the new 1.21 version..water, sky, and blending all look better..but sun is a bit pixelly
  24. Flight model selected in options....sim as opposed to game has more powerful engines..read that here somewhere
  25. Is the Su25t mps-410 model lod fixed when vis range is set to low?
