  1. lol to the signature pic archer....a familiar sight
  2. So is the cold start procedure going to be as complex as the one on the TBS site? I love detail like that, really adds to the immersion. Chris
  3. Been reading a fair bit about this recently. If it does what it says on the tin, it should improve Lock On performance loads right? But how good will the performance gains be?? ...Discuss  -Chris
  4. I think they will probably work well together. In standard view it'd be quite hard to click the right switches, especially ones down the sides, but you could look right at the area where the switch is then click it with the mouse thingy. Have to see tho. OT - I wonder if the startup sequence is as involved as the clip on the TBS site. That would be sweet. Chris
  5. Lol. True. I suppose theres not much point sending him off alone anyway really. I'd only be sending him to certain death! Chris
  6. Quite often when flying in single player my wingman asks for permission to attack things. How do i tell him yes? I can't find it in the messages list. Cheers Chris
  7. Yeh but it's not actually written on the light, like the other warning lamps
  8. It's on the right hand side panel next to your seat. It dosn't look like the others either its a little round green bulb with no writing on it - nothing like most of the other warning lights. Chris
  9. At the risk of sounding stupid! - Whats an adaprive warhead?? Chris
  10. Even if they did the rotors probably wouldn't fit... Could make for some amusing scenes of choppers appearing from tunnels with boomerang shaped rotors =)
  11. Sounds awesome. Can anybody come and watch?? Chris
  12. Sorry, noob question, from a total noob =) what's a VFAT??? Chris
  13. Somthing odd about that first picture. If you look at the valleys, the plane looks fairly close to the ground but look at the sky and it looks like the plane has left Earths atmosphere! Chris
  14. You've had 98 for all these years?! You realise the required level of patience more or less elevates you to saint-hood! lol Chris
  15. That would be sweet =) stacks of power for any app
  16. Whats the deal with CPUs then? How come the machine can't split the workload between dual CPUs without the game needing to know/be setup for it? Chris
  17. Well I for one am extremely grateful to the developers and test team for all the hours put in to this game. It runs stable on my machine and its the closest I'll ever come to flying jets. Besides, anyone who's lived with Microsoft software for years should have no problem with the amount/magnitude of the bugs on lock on. In comparison, its trouble free! Chris
  18. Normally when I do that I lose both wings at the same time
  19. Wow! I've never managed to lose that much wing in the air before!
  20. You can fly the 25T in lock on with half the wing gone - heres a couple of screenshots I took doing it http://server6.theimagehosting.com/image.php?img=ScreenShot_037.jpg&album=7676 http://server6.theimagehosting.com/image.php?img=ScreenShot_038.jpg&album=7676 http://server6.theimagehosting.com/image.php?img=ScreenShot_011.jpg&album=7676 Chris
  21. You have to hold the buttons down to refuel, like when u dump it. If u have a HOTAS with toggles on it you could assign it to one of those, but otherwise you have to sit there holding it down for ages. Does anyone else know a way around this for people without toggleable switches? Chris
  22. This will only work if both planes begin at precisely the same speed and hit the ground before the 25T hits Mach1 and becomes uncontrollable. Drag coefficients are logarithmic, it will take more energy to accelerate from 500-600kph than it would for 300-400 Chris
  23. I've read a few posts mentioning Speedtree and WAFM. What exactly are/were they? Cheers Chris
  24. Haha! Thats superb...reminded me about the chop suey guys =) http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-6764807366017086026 Chris Edited-typos
