thanks for the replies and sorry it took me so long to get back. I also dont think i had my CD in at the time of starforce wanting those activations so that could have very well been my own dumb fault! I am not sure of that though i was just thinking about it the other day. The game works great now but im out of activation keys. I have a new HD coming in soon so thats why i was worrying. Anyhow, dont worry i know how to play the game.. you dont ask something from somebody by threatening and being a jackass :). Ill get on to sending that email, thanks!

Heres the deal, i just reinstalled lock on and used my activation key because i had to reformat. It says i have 2 activation keys left.... everytime i start lockon the starforce comes up telling me to activate , it then says i have 1 activation key left and when i go to start the game up again it says i have 0.... i was really confused and was thinking it was just checking to see if i had the game but what the hell?!? Now i have no activations left i used 3 of them up in one day because it asked for an activation key EVERY time.... if i have to wait 2 months to get another key back on a game i just bought this summer... well lets just say im gonna raise some hell lol. Any help or suggestions guys on this issue?

Everytime when flying the A-10 i go to shoot my mavericks.. im within range and i stabilize ground to get a lock.. i slew the cross and it begins to flash but the problem is its locking on to a piece of ground close to the target but not quite there... i fire the missile and it lands in that exact spot doing no damage at all. I feel like im doing everything right. Can someone tell me what i may be doing wrong? Thank you :).

Can someone explain to me why popping flares before an enemy shoots is a smart thing? What is the difference between chaff and flares and in what situations would i use one or the other? Sorry for the noobish question i usually avoid missiles fine but still just wondering.

i cant wait for this game. NetKar-Pro is great but i havent played it after the first few day( crappy netcode) did they ever fix that? Personally im a big Live For Speed fan just beacuse it has a larger community . Currently driving in the SimFIA Formula One Season

I notice there was some people from the Air or Naval forces that play this game so i figured id make this thread to do a little roll call. If this is a repost you may beat me with an ostrich. I am in the USAF as an avionics tech that has worked on the MC-130H Combat Talon II in AFSOC (Air Force Special Operations Command) and now i live my days as a guardsman for the KC-135 Tanker.. the KC-135 is MUCH easier to work on but id be lying if i say i didnt miss the days watching the Talon II fly around (even though the unit was a pain!). Having a background with radar systems i was really impressed by the realism this game brings. I hope the Lock On series continues on for a very long time :).

Very nice post and i downloaded the tracks immediately, they shall prove to be very very helpful so thank you for your time you put into them. I work on aircraft radar in the USAF and ive always wondered why does this game hamper the F-15's missile armanent. Why is there problems with it? in real life there doesnt seem to be much of a problem but if anyone can correct me or give me some guidance here i would much appreciate it. Thank you :).

Understanding radar theory can go a long way too. I work on radars on larger aircraft. I already had a head start when it came to radars in LOMAC. That made my time learning the F-15's radar a lot easier. So just read the overall theory of how they work and it could help you :). It is very accurate!

Hello all. I viewed some movies of LockOn recently on youtube.com and it inspired me to reinstall the game. I come back to the community to find that it has GROWN tremendously. I quit playing lock on back in 2004 and never really went back to it. Now i feel sorry for not doing so! so many changes are kind of confusing.. so heres the questions i ask. What do i need to get to update my game? I know what patches to get and to get flaming cliffs.... But are there any mods that people use? It seem so vast and confusin as to what is good to get! Is there any updated sound packs? i notice in these movies that the sound has changed.. was that added in or was it just sounds taken from real life? Also how is the multiplayer community? when i played it was a small but diehard community. About 20 players i would see at any given time. Has that number increased and what program is used to browse and connect to servers? I believe that is the questions i have.. if anyone could help me i would greatly appreciate it.. thank you :)
