  1. Just tried it very quickly and can confirm it on first glance. He works, Ap does not fire.
  2. Is there any information on when we get a release version of this campaign and the full campaign? Will it ship when the bird flies out of beta? :D
  3. Because it always crashes into the ground? For me the replay system never actually worked for any aircraft reliably but it seems to be a little bit worse with the viggen.
  4. Probably related to bug currently in 1.5 There are 2 versions of RB04s: One for the player one for A.I. The A.I. can't fire the player version and the version for the A.I. does not show up under the A.I. planes currently. As far as I know it is already fixed internally but we have to wait until ED decides to release a new 1.5 update.
  5. So it could explain an increase in thrust in certain situations but not in mil power since then probably max thrust without ab would be used in either case.
  6. I only had a problem with the bk-90 wth the series mode. The one on the left outer station launched first and the one on the right inner station next but the other two did not launch until I pressed the trigger again. But I'm not calling it a bug since I only did three launches and just skimmed other the manual. Probably only a mstake in my side. And of course the damage but that is an ED-level problem.

Unfortunaly I did not have that much time with the viggen until now but I never had the problem with compressor stalls with auto throttle I actually think it is a dream to land with it....just put the glideslope and the velocity vector on the threshold and the rest is done pretty much on its own :D

In know that there are a lot of scripts but as I said I've just started so I want to keep things simple and as I currently do not have the slightest idea of scripting I want to use the basic features of the editor gives me. So in the research I did this was the best way I found to do what I want to do by just using advanced waypoint commands. As my sources are almost 3 years old my question remains whether there might be a mistake in my setup or things are bugged or just have changed.
  10. Following problem: I just started looking into the editor and wanted to set up a mission where troops are picked up by a helicopter and disembarked at a different point. I set the infantry on their waypoint two to "embark to transport". I also let the Huey land nearby in the zone with the advanced waypoint action "embark". The problem is I can't set up a waypoint to disembark for troops (I saw at least one video where it was shown that you can set up one of the infantries waypoint as point to "disembark from transport") Consequently the helicopter lands and waits for troops to get into the chopper but the infantry just refuses to embark. Am I missing something here or is it broken at the moment?:(

Now I know why I had the feeling that we were not really talking about the same point in our little discussion :D But yeah that is also my concern with the upcoming carrier modules that are going to be released because I don't see a way to do it without excluding everyone who does not own these modules. I mean how do you want to prevent players from landing on it in multiplayer if they don't own the carrier module? :D
  13. I think it is still on topic as we are discussing the businessmodel here :) And I don't see how Arma differs from DCS here. You do have some crappy weapon and vehicle packs that you can still see on the map but not use them (like aircraft modules in DCS) but with Apex the whole community seperated because assets use from Apex in new maps or missions blocked those missions for players who don't own Apex. In my milsim group that brought up a big discussion because some wanted to move to Apex to use the assets but some were not willing to pay the 30$. Same problem here only that we now have 1 paid map, 1 paid map and asset pack coming, 1 map further down the line coming with the F-18 and then the carrier modules that will also be paid content and probably released with the F-18 (just a guess here). All that content will probably completly exclude players that are not willing or not able to pay for this content from the part of the community that is willing to buy it. And completly agree with you, as long as everybody is still able to use the same server I'm 100% fine with this. I'm even fine with some content that splits the community as new maps are hard to implement in a different way. But like I already said, I still have some concerns.
  14. They all packed it all in one bundle for 60$ (which is a fair price imo) but you just have the extra option to buy the map and the assets seperately. I also don't why because why would you want to buy them seperately but it is nice for the few people that want to do exactly that. But what exactly do you mean with "become like ARMA 3"? I did not really catch what you meant with that :)

It really is a problem with two sides...on one hand ED can't realease everything they produce in terms of maps and so on for free, because of the amount of work that went into these products to produce such a high quality content. On the other hand the DCS community and especially the online community is not the largest one to begin with. And with every payed module that blocks players from joining a server/mission the community is basically split in smaller and smaller chunks. I'm not saying that in 4 years will only have servers with 2 players on each of them. But this a concern that I have and I hope this kind business practice will be something we will only see on rare occasions. And also to clarify I'm in full support of paid content, only content that excludes a part of the community that is not willing to pay for it is concerning to me.
  16. Nowadays it is normal to buy into beta products. And as you can see in the shop the viggen is labeled as "Early Access" aka beta. So if you want a completly and 100% polished product wait a few weeks or maybe months and you can get exactly that.
  17. Sounds strange But to really see if it is a pilot error or something else you need to supply us with a replay. Just make yourself a little mission with some targets, bomb them and upload the replay. This way we can see if it is your error and we can tell how to iron it out or make out a strange bug.
  18. Thank you guys for all your input and sorry for my absence but I just don't have the time in the moment for a longer troubleshooting session. Yeah sounds like I a lot of trouble with my set up. But ping is no problem at least when I'm the client. Usually I have a ping around 30 when playning online games. But back to the core problem: To make things simpler I just connected the PC directly to the first router via WLAN. The connection is still good enough for testing purposes but I still couldn't not connect to port 10308 TCP (according to the site that was posted here, I still have to set this apache thing up. On their website you only get the binaries you have to compile first so again no time in the moment). But it might very well be that I also have to open the ports you mentioned (80,443,5222). The security settings on the router are at maximum. And my ISP is Kabel Deutschland by the way, still have to check with them if everything else is checked. We have some of those (but from fitzbox) lying around here somewhere, but connecting via wifi to the 1st router should to the trick What exactly do you use this for with DCS? Do you use their virtual LAN? Similar to Hamachi?
  19. I also use port forwarding but without a static IP. Every now and then I get a new IP address from the router. But it is set up so that the router always nows what my PC is (the router has my MAC saved) and it should always forward it to the IP I currently have. My PC's IP address is a private address, but this should not be the problem since the router is set up to forward every outside signal to my PC.
  20. I'm not directly connected to the router that is connected to the outside word. But the router I'm connected to just acts as a normal repeater to get a better wlan connection where my PC is. As far as I remember it does not have any extra settings in terms of ports as it just relays the 1st routers signal. I'm using Norton 360 Premiere as a 3rd party firewall but I made in Norton and the windows settings a special rule for port 10308. I guess next try would be turning them off and then check the logs. If that does not help I will have to dive into the router settings.
  21. And your scan says you also received data and with my scan the website did not receive any data on the TCP protocol. I guess I will have to double check router and firewall settings....must be something wrong there even though I have no clue what. :music_whistling:

PORT STATE SERVICE 10308/udp open|filtered unknown Nmap done: 1 IP address (1 host up) scanned in 0.29 seconds Raw packets sent: 1 (28B) | Rcvd: 190 (10.640KB) But I had to use the 'don't ping host' option otherwise the connection attempt got blocked.
  23. I hosted the server on my main system I always use so the windows clock is in sync with the real clock. I opened both UDP and TCP protocols in the router.
  24. There is no box and I checked, DCS does have permission for internet access in the firewall. What exactly do you mean with time setting?
  25. Problem: My Server does not appear in the master list, nor can anybody connect via IP. I already opened the port 10308 on my router and my system's firewall. I checked three or four times if I really checked the 'public server' box. The direct connection via IP probably doesn't work because the server does not have my systems IP. Instead it sets up on some strange IP I do not recognize (maybe router IP). I don't now what else could be broken or what I'm still doing wrong. Could somebody enlighten me? :smartass:
