If this has been covered elswhere, I apologise in advance but I found out by trial and error. When wishing to contact an ATC look at the main menu top right, select ATC then your airfield, it will show you the tower frequency. Leave this on your screen while entering frequency shown. At this point enter that frequency into the up front panel, (comm1 is AM and comm2 is FM) Example....the Stennis is 127.5 FM so select the silver button on comm 2 (FM) and scroll on the button with mouse wheel until "S- 1" appears in the top display. Select "CLR" and then enter 127500 (no decimal point) until "S- 127500" shows and hit enter....now leave it alone!!! Go back to the ATC for Stennis you still have showing in your right top of monitor and select inbound for landing as example. Now look at your upfront top display and the "S- 127500" now becomes "M- 127.500" and it stays there until you punch in another ATC airfield. Next time you call on it, the menu numbers are in white for that ATC tower and the tower answers you by voice and text. This may only be a filip, a temporary fix until the next patch as I dont imagine it was designed like this comments welcome

BobbyC-101st replied to itzdsay's topic in Controller Questions and Bugs
Thanks fotr your help guys, do you think re instaling F18 will fix, because the z axis works on AV8Bn and A10C and Huey as thrust. As soon as the engines kick in it takes off at half throttle. thanks -

[A-10C] Operation Titan Angel
BobbyC-101st replied to EasyEB's topic in User Created Missions General
Excellent mission Best Mission I have seen with random missions generated by the F10 option. We have been flying this in multyplayer for 2 weeks now and dont see any flaws that need fixing. It is giving a new mission every time we get together to fly and plenty of distance flying to practice navigation, air refueling and ILS landings etc. Our biggy is air to ground so well done easyEB Regards, BobbyC-101st -
[MERGED] Normandy Map and WWII ASSETS, Not in Module Manager
BobbyC-101st replied to coolts's topic in DCS: Normandy 1944
MM not showing Normandy modules +ww2 Asset dcs.txt attached my DCS log just after loading Module Manager with no normandy map or WW2 Assets -
I agree with What you say here Flagrum and since the Co-pilot seat firing of the minigun is screwed up to the point that continuous firing is caused by using the mouse left button or spacebar, the only option is aiming the sight with the mouse or up and down left right options at the same time as pressing the fire button on the joystick. I am not that dextrous so I just load up with rockets until fixed. This beta testing is ok but it is spoiling my gaming when an update fixes one thing and breaks other things that were perfectly ok. :(

[DCSW: Mi-8MTV2] English Cockpit Mod
BobbyC-101st replied to Devrim's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
That's great AlphaOneSix...you can't get anymore realistic than that can you. At lease Devrim can check that his translations are spot on. Many thanks  -
[DCSW: Mi-8MTV2] English Cockpit Mod
BobbyC-101st replied to Devrim's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
Excellent work on this translation for English markers in the cockpit. I have had the Mi-8 since Beta release and still fumbling around the cockpit. This will be a great help. Downloaded and installed with no problems. -
Mi-8 English helper in Cockpit
BobbyC-101st replied to Deus-Olympus's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
I agree all of them please...like in the helicopter versions sold to English speaking nations. No point wondering what that switch is for....bored on a long haul looking about the cockpit.....temptation too much....flip the switch and your fuel dumps. -

Stand up and be counted all ye Mi-8 operators
BobbyC-101st replied to msalama's topic in DCS: Mi-8MTV2 Magnificent Eight
I appreciate your answer and have adjusted the sights as you explained but the nose of the helicopter has to point down instead of flying level in order for the rounds to hit that spot. If you are sitting on the ground pointing at a wall, the rounds hit the same spot, regardless of where you raise or lower the sight. Am I missing hitting a switch somewhere? :book: -
Stand up and be counted all ye Mi-8 operators
BobbyC-101st replied to msalama's topic in DCS: Mi-8MTV2 Magnificent Eight
I like it so far and it handles a lot better than the Huey on take-off and landing. Finding my way around the cockpit is difficult as I don't read Russian Cyrillic. Refuelling request answers with "Copy" then drains all your tanks. None of the weapons selections and configurations can be assigned to joystick or controllers (greyed out) so clicking on various Cyrillic marked swiches in combat is tricky with eyes off the road. Weapons are nice and effective but I need to ask the question...do I have to aim the helicopter at the target or does the aiming and sighting move? I can move the sight but the bullets don't go where the sight is looking. Enjoy -
Latest update to DCS world has rendered my Huey wingman impotent. His guns spin and he aims at my target I designate him but no rounds come out any more. The poor son of a gun has no lead in his pencil any more. Mission editor shows him loaded, is there a new trick now to let him off safe mode? Please fix :book:

1.2.5 Update on 2nd August Huey Flexible sight problem
BobbyC-101st replied to BobbyC-101st's topic in General Questions
In addition to this problem we have had a 3rd update to 1.2.5 and now the AI wingman attacks on my command but his guns just spin with no bullets coming out...He's not much help any more. -
1.2.5 Update on 2nd August Huey caused a Flexible sight problem in sim mode. The sight is now fixed when guns are selected whether in Pilot seat or Co-pilot seat. In the Game options, The sim mode keyboard bindings are the same and show so I doubt it was intentional. The outside view of the guns shows flex mountings on the guns. Hope it is re-instated in the next update.:(

Thanks for the reply CrashIII, I did use the app in 1.2.2 and it did not work for me either. Prior to usin the app in 1.2.3 I tried just the normal game and set up a new pilot same as before and flew in A-10C and an F-15C, had kills in both flights in single player....not multiplayer...and nothing recorded in Pilot log.I then tried to use the App for Multiplayer Logbook and DCS world crashes on startup. Back to having an empty pilot log I guess...at least the game works. My 120 AA missiles only work at about 6 miles now by the way.:(
