  1. the lighting is great,..with a good rig, you can have stable 50 fps in city areas..experimenting with different light objects for scenery creations.. started object creation in blender..anyone else flying heliops in xplane?) :joystick:
  2. it will get into better performance when updated to 64bit, planned for next after 10.10 release. we will see,..but as far as i see, you do not need to crank all up to get nice visuals,..just check the options!)
  3. plug in driven combat scenarios are under development by community members. as far as i knew it is possible yet. community projects are growing quickly and there are many great plugins available, you can try them in the demo too.
  4. as i develop my own scenery,..i switched my tactics to operate in original OSM Data. i guess it s the best possibility, to create,..accurate scenery data, without doing things twice,..my experiments with adding trees and first buildings in smaller villages are outstanding.. the openstreemap activ profile is for free, you can edit data, add data, add routes..see sea traffic plugin by marginal!) yes, i guess..if some more people could step into this project to provide more detailed data,..we all can help making xplane, and i guess other sims in the future, too,..look more realistic with accurate objects, roads and forests placed on real data. so come in an add the details you want to see wothin next OSM imports!)   5. @aaron, MP is stable! no problems recognized if everything setup fine.. search for osm2xp, a easy to use tool. then you need osm datafile, from regions of your interest.. i download mine here: http://download.geofabrik.de/osm/ you need the *.pbf file of your interest. download the file, open it into osm2xp, and test the different settings.. i´d advice, to test with only one tile..it s a quicker workflow for you.. but you can grab osm conversions @ the x-plane.org download manager if it s to much work for yourself!) cheers SLAKER81
  6. it is a real pleasure for me, doing HEMS operations. the customizeabillity is fantastic. the tools, overlay editor and world editor, are very powerfull. combined with continously growing object librarys..i receipt my first very nice results, building my local fotoscenery i uploaded a new album with some screenshots taken within different progress phases.. just have a look!) http://forums.eagle.ru/album.php?albumid=665 and once again.. i love my BK117 payware and the EC135 of Peter Springborn, unbelievable as freeware..an not yet optimized for XP10..:pilotfly: cheers Scudslaker
  7. ..well i handle betatesting in xplane with a second install and shared global and custom scenery folder: 1.installing one complete release version, actually XPlane10.5RC1 for full flight enjoyment 2.second install for beta testing without, global scenery install 3. sharing the folder via comand window, mklink J/ "Target" "Path" for example mklink J/ "L:\Xplane Beta\Global Scenery" "L:\Xplane 10.5rc1\Global Scenery" then do it same way with the custom folder to have the ability to use same scenery without copying everything twice.. well, it s not all fine yet in beta4, but i had a nice online flight with a friend and it is great, a real pleasure to land on the new oilrig..performance is increasing..and beta 5 is in the pipeline..maybe within the next 24 hours or 48!) but b777 is in internal beta phase..have not recognized a release date yet cheers SCUD

  9. yes, as told, backing important files up,:smartass: is important..but you can add the new objects, to your 10.5r1 copy, by dragging and dropping the "default scenery" folder from yours updated "ressources" folder, into the new one.. if:helpsmilie:is needed..shout loud or :book: in the x-plane.org

  12. haven t had the correct record input in my audio setup, so no ingame sounds recorded in this testvideo..and the music wasn t produced for this video, was recorded in february!) as told, just testing..and with movie maker!) if you don t like the music,..turn it off!) and ii need to install my editing sw packages.. thx for your comments!)

  15. anyone receipt his/her first dvd s ?) i am going to get XP10 direct from laminar research,..as i think the aerosofts box release is to far in the future!) the sims potential will get improved continously, as the performance, details and payware addons!) i think we had a great year 2011 from sim pilots point of view..

  17. yes it seems more like a buggy beta version then a demo.. the scalability of rendered objects and trees is not enough in my eyes.. i want a slieder..on the other side is the input options menu premium featured..i really like the way of assigning funtions for axis and buttons..great..ED guys should have a look!) most fun was a situation on KSEA runway, a female deer, followed by a male deer. crossed the rwy just in front of me..great!) XP10 has a huge potential..but they have to fix, resolve and rebuild many things in my eyes..but for 80$, i m in..for a more realistic flight experience then FSX!) and i agree with mower,..pmdg should look more to XP the FSX or FLIGHT cheers SCUD
  18. in my eyes..a single fan gfx card like this EVGA card, will result in heavy fan noise, surrounding your flight experience..i think 570gtx in general is a good choice.. but me, i ve chosen a 560ti and am happy with it..i have no problems in flight simulations so far.. btw..what does your pit building? any progresses? cheers SCUD
  19. geblendet haben uns die marketingsstrategen von ED schon.. Aufwand hin oder her..es sollte ED im vorherein klargewesen sein was man verspricht..und da stimme ich greyheads meinung in vollem umfang zu! ein weiteres beispiel ist auch die "idee" mit der lokalisierung des sims gewesen..bzw die damit verbundenen wartezeiten zur verfügbarkeit neuer Patches und UPGRADES.(zumindest derjenigen die leider immernoch ne deutsche version fliegen müssen in dieser..vernetzten welt heute), bzw. resultierend aller anderer user..da die knappen programierressourcen sonen mist machen müssen.. leider ist die methode mit den official updates durch sporadische, unregelmässige beiträge und unkonkrete aussagen, bzw. in den meisten fällen null feedback zu den user reaktionen,..voll verpatzt. Schade eigtl. oder? Wags hat ganz gut angefangen und dann klappt es einmal--dann wartet man wieder 2 monate minimum..und dann sowas. ich verstehe jeden aufgebrachten piloten hier! ich sehe es ähnlich..doch nach reiflicher überlegung..war es mir 13,75 wert..der performance boost,..die neuen modelle.., das A10 ai system, die wetter engine,..lighting,.. das ist geil..es regnet..oh ,doch nicht..oh doch, hier regents auch..^^ ED hat ein echt klasse produkt..würden Sie nur endlich vernünftig all die, im englischen thread gestellten fragen zum weiteren werdegang beantworten..wäre allen sicher geholfen..und ich meine keine vorgeschobenen moderatoren nach dem motto beruhigt die meute..ich meine ein vernünftiges FEEDBACK zum FEEDBACK der Verleger! ich hoffe ich habe hier keinen der werten piloten angegriffen..noch mich unsachlich zu ED geäußert. Schade finde ich..das die community eben wieder weiter gespalten wurde..oder wie seht ihr es?

  21. so can t they build modulized packages: one core package with: AI objects and units weapons landscapes general gfx engine mission editor general options menu single aircraft modules adding model dynamics sound effects so they can easily patch the core if needed..or release an airplane module. second pos effect, the traffic will get smaller too
  22. i fly both dcs modules..but i cannot understand why i have to pay a second time to get both modules compatible to each other in multiplayer..it was promised that the modules should work together..i don t pay twice for the same product..even with small and in the past for free promised gfx-engine updates.. i agree with kuky..if ED could build a modulized simulator as promised years ago, it whould be nice..but it isn t so far..and from my point of view..it s not usefull to patch every product 2 or three times..to make them work together.. you should make a main package including: AI Units ME landscape gfx engine that can be completed with aircraft modules.. i don t get why you go that slow and long way around the logic. sorry that s my point of view
