Pretty sure it was that attitude that led to a lot of RAF pilots being shot down by US ones because of their roundels.

Hi guys. Quick question, what sources other than aircraft manuals are you using to replicate aircraft handling? I ask because I'm currently reading Eric Brown's autobiography and he mentions stuff like the Me-262's engines being prone to flameouts if the throttle is moved too fast and other notable effects that you might not necessarily get from manuals. I want to configure my new HOTAS Warthog so that the paddle + CMS forward and backwards is zoom. I tried doing this in DCS Worlds, but at the moment it's doing it so that I have to click the paddle to "switch" between CMS and zoom, which isn't what I want obviously. In this sense, even though the paddle is listed as a modifier in DCS options, it's acting less like a shift and more like a caps lock. Has anyone found this before? Furthermore, I'd like to set it up so that Paddle plus CMS press recentres Freetrack but it will only accept one button press at a time. Any thoughts as to how to achieve this?

This is ridiculous. No way will you be able to create a DCS quality module for an aircraft that isn't even operational yet, let alone unclassified. The plane is classified up to the eyeballs - the best you can possibly do is guess! This won't even be FC3 quality, it'll be nothing but guesstimations. Seriously, what were you thinking? Look at what ED puts out - aircraft that are either unclassified or that they had unprecedented access to. What are you hoping - to look at the F-35 and work out how it flies? Even the RAF and USAF don't know how well it flies yet, what hope do you have? By all means, make this for another sim, where people don't care about accuracy, but don't taint DCS with it. If you're going to make a Lightning, make it the English Electric Lightning.

Hello all. First off, these are quite simple projects I imagine, and it's not that I can't do it myself but I can't open some of the packages in GIMP and those that i can, I can't save to DDS as I'm running a 64-bit version. As such I'm hoping someone kind out there can knock them together for me! Both requests are for Mustangs. I was hoping for a White UN version similar to the UN Huey - I just think a Bone White Mustang would look fantastic. I hope someone will make UN skins for all of the aircraft now, an all-white Mustang would look fantastic (as would an all-black one come to think of it). Also hoping for my Army Air Corp scheme soon!

Oh am I ever excited for this....but I think I will wait for the final assessment after release before dropping my pounds on this. I have very high hopes but I want to be sure. It'll be a good weekend!

Just did a test mission with half a dozen E-3s in the air - yep, they came up on the RWR, so you're probably right. Thanks though!

How do I turn it on? I use the RWR/SPO Mode button but I can't find anything in the control lists to turn it on. I imagine this is the stupidest question. I never get any missile launch alerts or radar warnings but if I press the ECM button it shows as operating.
