The best starter if you like in my opinion would be the SA342. Granted she is a bit twitchy to begin with but to be honest if you can master this one then the others will be a walk in the park as regards flying. Aircraft systems vary a fair deal as regards Nav and Weapons and i would say the Huey comes a close second as regards ease of use. The start up procedure varies a good bit with the different types but you will soon pick it up. But if you cant keep the thing stable then not matter what Helo you choose you're a dead duck. Patience is the biggest requirement with Helo's patience and practise. Before you know it you will soon have that familiar thought and feeling we all get, 'did i just do that!' In my opinion and thats for all of this message they are great fun. Enjoy :thumbup:

Well, whatever it is its not working! :doh: Its pretty frustrating not being able to use the Radar as it was meant to be. And looking through the various posts out there it has been AWOL for a considerable time with no updates/news for it forthcoming. It severely limits the use of this wonderful Aircraft in combat with the TDC all over the place. Just have to keep my fingers crossed that its fixed in the next update. :helpsmilie:

:huh:Has anyone done an uninstall/re-install by any chance? I haven't seen any posts on such but just wondered. Its a real pain in the butt eh!

Still no luck with the TDC problem. Have tried using other switches and hats such as the DMS, But it has made no difference at all. Was hoping that this latest update was going to solve it but I guess not. Its pretty frustrating not being able to use the Radar. Is this still being looked into? I am aware they have other stuff going on and also respect the fact that things take time. But some info about it would sure be welcome.

Don Rudi's missions for the Gazelle. Hi Don. Thank you for your hard work in creating these missions. But i find i cannot get it to work. It does not show up in the missions folder or singles folder. I have tried it in Nevada and Caucuses. Any ideas where i'm going wrong? Thanks in advance. Plexi

Default Skin Hi Guys Do you know if its possible to change the default skin or does it have to be done via the missions tab, if you know what I mean. i.e. you pick the aircraft from the missions area/page. Would be great if I could change the default so I can use my fav skin for all flights/training/single missions and such. Many thanks in advance. Plexi

Serial Number Not too sure as to how to proceed from here Gary. Wish I could help more. It all went quite seamlessly for me. What about trying the Downloads Page. Although you have probably already tried that. I had the A10 that I bought a couple of years ago and found that once this DCS World and the 1.2.4 came out it would not show up in the MM. So like I said earlier I downloaded the whole thing again. It didn't change the Serial Number but included it in the MM once done and I was then able to use it in DSC World. Other than that I had to use it as a stand alone so to speak. I wish you luck Gary it is a bit of a pain I know. As regards my BS i did much the same and it upgraded it to BS2. It did show as just BS1 in MM but that changed it. Regards Plexi.

Its Fab I find that DCS is great. For me, and I do realise everyone is different, it gives me a great insight as to what it takes to fly these things and isn't the challenge what its all about? not forgetting the sense of satisfaction when it all goes to plan. Yeah ok it does have a steep learning curve but hey, what's the rush...its not as if there's a war on eh?!.......there is...Damn.:doh:

Hi Gary. What I did was downloaded the Aircraft again via the Module Manager and it updates automatically. Although it says to purchase I never had to as it is logged on there Server as bought by me already. Then the Serial Numbers will appear in the Module Manager. Regards Plexi

Am i missing something here. Other than the Radios for Weather is there any Wind Socks around. Cant say i have seen any yet at the Airfields. Would be nice to have a visual referance as well. What do you think?:pilotfly:

I found that going into to the Axis settings brougth up the TrackIR settings i changed that and it works much better. But then i have 2 Screens not 3 and only 1 displays Cockpit. Maybe that might be worth having a look at, it might help.

Have'nt seen anything on this so here goes. Every time i go to take off in the Huey the main rotor comes off and ends up in a field somewhere. Have tried differant modes i.e Training, Free Flight Single Mission and it makes no differance. As soon as i lift the Collective or touch the Rudder Pedals it just flies off. Any idea's? :doh:
