Using the Aero L-39C Albatros and the Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-17, the Virtual Black Diamond Jet Team illustrates the precision of formation flying in their signature diamond formation, flying less than 3 feet apart. With their distinctive afterburning engines, our two solo pilots in the Mig-17s use dynamic sleight of hand to execute maneuvers never before attempted. Fully supported by the Black Diamond Jet Team, the virtual team continues to help with new ideas such as maneuvers, music and aircraft. The Virtual Black Diamond Jet Team performed its first live show in March of 2012 at the Virtual Tukums Airshow. Since then, the Virtual Black Diamond Jet Team has performed in several prestigious events such as the Virtual United Air Festival and the Virtual Festival of Aerobatic Teams.
