ED Please correct these bugs?
Red Star replied to aimmaverick's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
The only updates I have seen concerning the F-15 is the new model for the AIM-120B and the addition of the AIM-120C. Has anyone seen any other information on the 15? Has anyone seen anything concerning the A-10. I used to scoff at anyone hinting that ED was being biased against the west and its equipment but now even I am having my doubts. :( -
"Cause your on fire, baby"

Apologies for my choice of wording. :idiot: :surrender: Anyways, enough of the hijack. :D back on topic

They could have edited the pics a bit better to make it believable but well.... :megalol:. What pointed it out to me is that the pics on the ground has a sizeable stub of broken wing but in the fuel pic and landing pic there is nothing (they even removed part of the taileron). plus the fact that the body might have given a bit of lift to aid in landing it but it would not have approached at a "normal" attitude but a slight starboard tilt.

Not from me. This is not the appropriate forums for politics. Original post edited to avoid political discussion or flame war.

I remember these pics from a while back, IIRC the pics on the right are (apparently) letitimate. The ones on the left are photoshops.

As well as 7Z you could also use zipgenius, http://www.zipgenius.it/eng/index.php which is also free and can handle a multitude of formats including Zip & Rar. -
Parasite and Induced drag on Su-25/T

I'll call it Fighter Ops when they actually release the fighters. Until then it's Trainer Ops. ;) -
What constitutes a -good- online pilot?
Red Star replied to Kenan's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
No I am not someone who is whinning because I was downed by a noob. They weren't noobs. Noobs spamming missiles I can understand but not veteran squad members. -

Red Star replied to Kenan's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
Yeah you got to admit those pilots really show their skill and tactics off when they spam off 6-8 ARH missiles in quick succession on a target such as a A-10 or a Su-25. Oh how they must rub their hands in glee when their scope shows a target like this and how they must feel so warm and fuzzy to bag such a prized target with so few missiles. :disgust: People that on one hand moan to ED that their beloved jet isn't modelled correctly, that this is supposed to be a sim and that all the flaws in said beloved jet (such as radar etc) should be fixed or their jets missiles are porked (because ED are anti-west ) before a heli sim gets released. Yet on the other hand they don't bother in learning proper tactics. I can just imagine what would happen to a real life pilot when he gets back to base with his pylons empty and turns to his commander and says "I bagged a Mi-24 today" It's stuff like this (and comments like this) that shows that Hyperlobby is going to the dogs. Just one big air quake. Though major kudos for the beefing up of air defences and Resurrecting the A2G days  There may be hope for HL yet. -
Are we getting a video of BS anytime soon?

R77 and multi pylons in the su33?
Red Star replied to Ardillita's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
Confusion over. Read this thread SLOWLY. ;) :P I browsed it quickly but still found this post. -
Well if you want an F/A-18 that is not modelled correctly then just change Humancockpit "yes" in the meinit file. :D Seems your grenade was a dud. ;) :P

How come Mig29G can employ 27T's and russian 29A can't?
Red Star replied to Kenan's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
Why not? It was a legit question. The MiG-29A was armed with it in 1.1 and 1.11, Kenan was questioning why it was removed in 1.12a. Thats all. It wasn't like he was asking it to be armed with 4 of them. ;) :megalol: -

Red Star replied to Kenan's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
I think that Alfa is all knowing about the MiG-29 (especially the 29K) ;) :D Perhaps he could confirm that the MiG-29A modelled in 1.1 can or cannot carry the R-27T. I remember seeing them carry it before the 1.12 patch, so it is either a mistake that it was removed or they know something we don't know. -
Help with sab-100 drops in a SU-25
Red Star replied to PFMM's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
Alt-w overrides launch authorization. IIRC a drop from 3000M will give you good illumination time. -
Su-25T gun-pod depression angle problems
Red Star replied to 4c Hajduk Veljko's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
Just gave it a go instead of relying on memory. Silly to trust memory. :surrender: I was able to lock a target up with the ShKval then by using Alt - and Alt + (which are mapped to my joystick) I was able to depress the gunpods manually. It didn't effect the target box when only gunpods were selected. I hate to press the issue again but are you sure you are selecting only the gunpods and not the gunpods with internal cannon. -
Su-25T gun-pod depression angle problems
Red Star replied to 4c Hajduk Veljko's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
Both keypresses will depress the gunpods but ensure that you have the gunpods only selected. Sounds like either you are leaving the ShKval on or you have the internal cannons selected as well as the gunpod. -
lol. Did a quick babel of that link DPS. I can't believe the comments. If it is tasteless to them I think they need FS9 instead of lock-on. As you say this is a "Combat" flight simulator not my little pony or the sims. :pilotfly: Keep up the good work mate.

New Black Shark screen shots 28 Apr 06
Red Star replied to Wags's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
Was that the prototype chopper from the 70's that was the western answer to the hind (read Wing hardpoints and tandem seating) that crashed on an airshow while doing a barrel roll type stunt? IIRC It entered into the roll too low so the pilot tried to exit it with a loop and ended up crashing into the ground. Pilot died in crash by "submarining" out of his seat due to a 4 point harness whereas co-pilot/gunner survived because of a 5 point harness only to later die in hospital. :( IIRC it was the first chopper to carry the "Black Hawk" Nick. EDIT: Oops my bad. That was the S-67. Now you have me interested. hehehe I'll continue my search for a pic. EDIT 2: :D Found it. Quite a nice bird.
