Warhog, I don't understand why these files are set up the way they are. Anyway, your suggestion works and all is well. I did misspell dfx a few times and corrected it where seen and in extension also. AutoCAD, LazyCAM and Mach3 is the software being used. Now to continue construction of the 6 DOF Stewart platforms. Umm, Inport? I will look into it. Used a txt to dfx converter and removed the .txt. AutoCAD see's it , but nothing is shown, Arg! Thanks for the effort. I pm'ed y2k about the issue. Cheers!

AutoCAD 2014 running and when open folder where the dfx files are located autocad says this folder is empty. They will only save as when downloading script.

I can download AutoDesk. I did a few years ago for a smal project. Is this what I need to get going?

I am a novice with CNC. Building anything is my strength when equipped with knowledge. The DXF files here is the cockpit that will sit on the 6 DOF motion platform being built. Actually 3 simulators are being built for by boys and self. We look forward to joining the community of flying. Thank you for knowledge for dummies and your assistance will be much appreciated.

LazyCAM will convert dxf files. I have attempted it but it is still seen as a text document.

I right click, save as and the dxf downloads as txt. document. Name of file ends with .dfx. What am I doing wrong. Mach3 licensed is on another computer and when attempting to run it an error occurs with 0 not valid.
