First time loads will be longer when the shader files etc are being made, after that should be quicker. That's my tests in single player only though with a SSD.
-
Yep and when the instrument lights are on there's several red light glows showing on the seat and 1 on the canopy directly above.

Turning flat terrain shadows off for me fixes it.

F-15C 1.2.11 Bugs (logical issues)
AUS_Twisted replied to VTJS17_Fire's topic in F-15C for DCS World
Is it possible to modify a file to disable / enable the pylons, say for instance a display setup where they are not needed which makes the F-15 also look cleaner? :) -
Would be nice if there was a option to disable / enable them. Disabling them for displays looks so much cleaner :) Is there a certain file to modify that makes this possible?
-
I think iRacing probably has the best replay system of any game, records proper movement of the cars and has every replay and camera view setting you could ever ask for. File sizes are of course a lot bigger but it's worth it when replays work exactly as it should, they don't get messed up with patches either.
-
It's because the game does no record proper replays like you see in other games/sims, it only records the control inputs and replays that back which ends up giving different results at times. Patches also make older replays completely useless also :(

About those wingtip vortices & engine smoke ...
AUS_Twisted replied to Echo38's topic in DCS World 1.x (read only)
Also a jet does not have to pull any G's to create wingtip contrails, with enough low level moisture they will show up, even F1 cars cause similar effects at speed :) -

Why do mountain and hill tops seem so unrealistic?
AUS_Twisted replied to fitness88's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
Hopefully the F-15 takeoffs and landings are fixed before then lol -
Take off's are still flawed also where you have a limited amount of pitch control until you pass a certain altitude.

Will it include the remake of Duke Nukem or is that to much to ask? :D

A new map / area must be in development by the Duke Nukem remake devs ;)

The biggest thing for me is the current terrain is very low resolution compared to whats out there, this is the most out dated part of DCS and it's very obvious near any hilly terrain. With higher res terrain mesh lower level flying would look and feel so much better adding more realism and fun to the sim.
-
Yep it also does this with older track files :(
-
Take off's are still flawed where a large % of pitch control input by the player is ignored until you pass a certain height.
-
Noticed this straight away with the patch and also loaded a older test mission with the F-15 and the cockpit view is all wrong just like older track files :(
-
Looks like what happens with the F-15 when the gear just slides through the runway and then starts shaking on the belly, landings and take off's are so flawed with the FC3 aircraft.
-
Yeah that plus the flawed take offs which ignore the players pitch inputs and limits you until you climb above a certain height. Also some indestructible AI planes making it not possible to play.
-
Just make it like ArmA and use High - Very High UI options if it's needed.
