valery, great skin but i cant get it to install. what did you do to get it to work cause it wont register for both Isreal and Turkey. the default name you have it as is F4-OKR, and to me it should be like F4-OKRAS-0 and it still doesnt work so could you please tell me how to get it working. Not to mention you had it in a different format so I converted it to .dds

Huh, yeah. Pilot error. And yes, how many times have I tried telling you just about all F-14 crashes resulted in pilot error? too many. Just end the whole point and take it the hornet sux!!

A-10 stories I see, hmmmm then I guess you would of wished you were here when I saw a squadron of 12 A-10's flew over my school a few years ago. It was really cool cause of the rumble. Yeah its a common thing here to see A-10's flying over since its basically the Maryland Air National Guard a half hour away :P. You know the all silver scheme in LOMAC that has the "MD" initials, yeah thats the MD National Guard skin :). So its pretty kool to see my own states National Guard's skin featured on this game!

sooo your basing one incident of what Hultgreen's "reactions" were and did, to the statistics of the F-14's power to one engine in a low and slow combination? That is wrong. It was her action that caused that crash, she wanted to wave off but till the last moment the LSO told her go around, so if he would of told her earlier, she would of had enough altitude and speed to be able to get up and out of that situation with one engine. And live to tell about it ;/

Yes it is all true and I have spoken to a pilot from VF-213 who witnessed the whole crash while onboard the ship and he said it just looked like there a big wind shear and ontop of that the powerful boost of the F-14's engine basically flipped it into a roll causing the thing to bank hard left right into the water. So, pilot and natural error? I would think so and with the full burst of power applied. Mechanical error? the flameout on approach but with rudder to you can still land straight enough.

I would say that would be an explosion since the canopy is gone from impact to water and the engine blew up. If I gotta get into that certain crash I can. The only problem with Kara's tomcat was her left engine failed but she was able to restart it, but under investigation they say it was mechanical problem AND pilot error. Ok, its not mechanical problem when the pilot apply's rudder in a wind gust on a carrier final and eventually does a hard break left into the water...I call that the driving of a female :P.

hitman, about those pictures. The one being pulled outta the water is from the wreckage of when the first Female F-14 pilot crashed it. It was pilot error, NOT the jets problem, and the one in the woods I have no clue what the cause of it was. But if you want to get into the number of crashes of the F-14 to the F/A-18 series, oh I will REALLY get into!

Holy crap, your not talking about the time the F-14A blew up on flyby are you? Listen smart one, do the research and look it up! If you had, you would know that any gas turbine engine designed is subject to foreign object damage (FOD) which can lead to catostrophic failure of internal components. Thats what triggered the explosion, NOT faulty equipment,structure, OR engine.

Um there were no such failures bud, and the engines werent as delicate as the stupid little F414-GE-400 turbofan's of the SH.

What? no. The squadrons that flew the F-14 and getting the F/A-18E, their RIO's are required to learn to fly or be switched to another squadron which has the F. Like for VF-31 that I know, their RIO's are learning how to fly and some will be transfered to VFA-32, mostly because VFA-22 is getting new F/A-18F's and VF-31 is getting the used E's -22 has been using. Thats what I know atleast.
