  1. @Pheonix0869 I have noticed the problem when flying online. It looks like this is a bug related to the way DCS World handles objects in multiplayer. There is currently no easy way to end an object life from Tacview. But this is definitively something I may add in a later release. As for the bullseye, I will soon™ start to work on Tacview 2.0. I think that Bullseyes will be displayed all the time, on the ground, and they will be easier to read too. @zaelu Indeed, it looks like track files recorded during network flights are emulating an network session when played back. I will see if there is a proper way for me to disable to anti-cheat delay in that case. I cannot promise anything, because I think that removing the restrictions during track files playback may encourage cheaters to use track files… This is up to you, the community, to let me know what would be an appropriate anti-cheat delay. So far, I am assuming that the default 10 minutes is more than enough to prevent bad people from engaging/sneaking behind enemy lines for free. I can add lower optional delays if you think this is appropriate (like, maybe, 5 minutes for example).
  2. Try now the real-time telemetry in Tacview 1.6 beta 1! Want to know how the real-time telemetry will do with DCS World? Try now Tacview 1.6 beta 1. http://tacview.net/download/beta As promised, I am releasing the first public version of the real-time telemetry before DCS World F/A-18 is released ;) Password and port numbers will be configurable in future releases. It will also be possible to prevent real-time data export on your public server except for those who have the right password. Fell free to post any feedback regarding real-time telemetry on this thread. epPKd-xFyLc
  3. Were you flying on a multiplayer sever which has prohibited any data export? http://www.tacview.net/documentation/dcs/#q22
  4. Hotfix for multiplayer crash I have fixed the crash in DCS World when you come back to spectator mode during multiplayer missions. Please download and install the attached hotfix. See included readme.txt for the procedure. http://www.tacview.net/download/tacview154hotfix.zip This fix is included in Tacview 1.6 which should be published soon™.
  6. Thank you for the data. I was able to reproduce the crash. I will publish a hot fix a soon as possible.
  7. Thank you Zaelu, It looks like the crash is related to Tacview indeed. But, unfortunately there is not enough information to know precisely why… Can you share me a track file of a flight which crash when the exporter is enabled? If you can’t get any track file, can you relaunch it with the exporter disabled to produce 30 seconds of track file? This mayl help me to reproduce the conditions of the crash.
  8. @super2277 It looks like your DCS World session has crashed before Tacview export has the time to properly close the file. Is that correct? Do you know if the host of blue flag has enabled data export? Do you have this export problem all the time, or just time to time? Can you share me the recorded track file? I will try to reproduce the bug locally. @Borin Did you check in the documentation? Your problem maybe related to Q35: http://www.tacview.net/documentation/dcs/#q35 @dora There is no way to change Tacview trails colors. With DCS World trails are either red or blue. There is not violet color unless you are flying on a secondary coalition in BMS. Can you share me a screenshot to help me understand? Yes, a “ruler” is planned for a future release. The very same tool will enable you to check coordinates too. @yufighter Can provide more information about the flight and corresponding object file? Can you share these files please? @Weegie I am not aware of a track delay bug in single player. Which mission where you flying in? Can you share me the corresponding acmi and track files? @RIPTIDE Tacview exporter reads as much data as possible from the computer used to record the acmi file (most of the time, your local computer). The delay feature is 100% in Tacview code, it is independent from DCS World and from the other mods. In other words: the delay option will not affect how other mods behave. Does this answer your question?
  9. Guys, as soon as you encounter a crash you think is related to Tacview, please send me the following files: Saved Games\DCS\Logs\dcs.log Corresponding Saved Games\DCS\Logs\dcs*.crash Which mission were you flying? Was is solo or multi? Corresponding acmi file (if any was generated) Without any information, I cannot do much to help you...
  10. Good idea Grimes! Because of the tools I am using to program for DCS World, I cannot display any dialog box like requested by NeilWillis. However, I can certainly automatically discard short/small files automatically.
  11. super2277 Which version of Tacview are you using to playback your flights? Can you share the produced acmi file so I can check it? My guess is that you still have an old version of Tacview associated to acmi files. The acmi file format has been updated and the files produced by the new exporter may not be readable by the old version of Tacview. About the warning message, please see the Q35 in the official documentation: http://www.tacview.net/documentation/dcs/#q35
  12. Mobius, Is there any warning message displayed in Tacview 3D view about missing data? Can you share one of these acmi files?
  13. @Zaelu Next time you get this crash, can you share me the following log files as well as telling which server/mission/aircraft you where in? Saved Games\DCS\Logs\dcs.log Corresponding Saved Games\DCS\Logs\dcs*.crash Corresponding acmi file (if any was generated) @Bufo It looks like you were flying in a multiplayer session. In that case, by default the last 10 minutes of the flight cannot be reviewed to prevent cheating. This is an option which is explained in the official documentation: http://www.tacview.net/documentation/dcs/#q35

  17. @Flum91 Tacview 1.5.3 has introduced a new anti-cheat system which, by default, prevents you from reviewing the last 10 minutes of your mission when you are flying online. You can either wait a bit more before leaving the session, to make sure all the data you want to review has been recorded. Or, you can ask the host to install Tacview and setup a “Playback Delay” of 0. The server DO NOT have to record flights to enable the clients to do so. It only has to setup the proper options. @Erpe Yes, DCS coordinates are here to stay: They where already here. The format of the T property has not changed. DCS World flat coordinates are named U,V in the acmi format documentation. Beware that they are exported in slightly different way as they are in DCS World: dcs(z,x) => tacview(u,v) The only change introduced by the format 2.2 is the new anti-cheat protection. I will document it as soon as possible. Note for the cheaters which are reading us: The ant-cheat system is not based on secrecy: knowing how it is working will not help reading precious data in advance ;)
  18. Chichco, I was able to reproduce your issue. It looks like LUA does not support at all path with unicode characters in it (like your current Windows user name). I am currently trying to find a solution for this case.
  19. I have managed to reproduce the crash with some of the training missions. Please download and install the attached hotfix. See included readme.txt for the procedure. http://www.tacview.net/download/tacview153hotfix.zip This fix is included in Tacview 1.5.4 which will be published later this week.
  20. Hoochiekoo Is looks like data export is disabled in your friend server preferences. Please see Q22 in the dedicated documentation http://www.tacview.net/documentation/dcs/#q22 If export options are fully enabled, you may have encountered an export bug. In that case, can you provide me as much information possible, like listed in my previous reply. I will need at least the dcs.log created during the flight which was not properly recorded.
  21. Chichco and FSKRipper, It looks like a bug in the new Tacview exporter. Please, can you provide me the following information? This will help me to fix this bug as quickly as possible. (First you need to reinstall Tacview 1.5.3 to reinstall the new exporter, there is no need to uninstall it before doing so) I need the following: Do you have this problem with all missions or a specific mission? Is it in single player or multi-player mode? Can you tell me precisely which mission does not work? (if possible, a standalone DCS World mission, since I cannot play a full campaign because of lack of time or skills.) Can you share me your \Saved Games\DCS\Logs\dcs.log and dcs.log.old files (after exiting DCS after you encounter the problem)? (these files contain very important diagnostic information) If you got a crash, can you share me the latest crash files generated in your \Saved Games\DCS\Logs\? (like the file shared by FSKRipper) Thank you very much, sorry for the inconvenience, I am going to do my best to publish a fix as quickly as possible. Vyrtuoz
  22. Thank you very much! I am going to investigate this crash as soon as possible.
  23. Very good point Grimes! In these cases, the flight is cut off indeed. I cannot do anything about crashes: Not only this is a rare case, by this is also a case which can easily simulated by a cheater. However, I will do my best to detect a normal end-of-mission in a future release, so the flight is fully dumped in that case.
  24. @Weegie I think that you are going to be happy with the improvements coming in Tacview 1.6.1+ to 1.7. I have planned a lot concerning the general handling of the aircraft, nav aids and tools to measure the level of mastery of an aircraft. 1) This is a great idea! I will include a way for you to select navaids and runway thresholds so you can better judge of your approach 2) And yes, a free measurement tool is coming too! @950118gh I am aware of the inconvenience of the new playback delay. Keep in mind that this delay has been introduced to prevent cheating during network games. Which is has always been much more inconvenient in the first place. Now, maybe, more servers will enable Tacview. Which is going to be very positive in the end. The delay of 10 minutes can be removed by your host if, for example, you are flying in a “safe” environment like your squadron private server. Also, there is no delay at all when you are flying off-line. Overall the delay should not be a problem. @Nero.ger Yes, you are correct. Sorry for the confusion, it is difficult to express a complex concept with just a few words in a dialog box :) To keep it simple: during online session, you will not (never) be able to review the last 10 minutes of your data recording. @NeilWillis You do not need a licence to install Tacview on the server. You can use the free version on your server. The paid versions are optional. They are useful only when you want to review data using more powerful tools.
  25. hoochiekoo Can you share me your file Tacview-20170127-141322-DCS.zip.acmi? If the .zip.acmi file does not contain any information the old .txt.acmi will not contain any information either. The old .txt.acmi file is not supported anymore. It has been replaced by a new format and is generated by a new exporter. Did you fly in a network game? In that case, maybe the server has completely disabled the export on its side.
