Yes, you will be able to export the flight from old track file, assuming DCS is able to properly replay the track file.

Gliptal is right, Tacview exporter is now an addon of DCS World and can be configured from within DCS World options menu. Can you share me your dcs.log file HellsBells? It will probably display the source of your issue. It should be somewhere in \Saved Games\DCS\Logs\dcs.log

It is currently possible to add yourself the missing runways. The procedure is documented here: http://www.tacview.net/documentation/staticobjects/ This is a lengthy process to manually add all DCS World objects, this is why I did not have the time yet to do so for the new Nevada runways. In the coming releases of Tacview, I will rewrite the way static objects are handled, and you will be able to use an integrated object editor to easily and quickly add the objects of your choice in Tacview’s world.

Thank you for the log Firebird, You Export.lua is definitively corrupted. Maybe an old addon not properly uninstalled. If you do not have any other addon installed (like a radio or cockpit script), you may delete you current export.lua file and reinstall the latest version of Tacview, this will fix your issue. If you do not want to delete your export.lua file, can you share C:\Users\Firebirds Pit\Saved Games\DCS\Scripts\Export.lua so I can advise you on which line to delete in it?

If the acmi files are only 1KB, it is very likely that you have a faulty script preventing Tacview exporter from running properly. Have a look at the Q16 of the dedicated FAQ: http://www.tacview.net/documentation/dcs/#q16 The answer is probably in your dcs.log. Can you share it please?

Programs do not have the right to write data in C:\Program Files (x86)\, this is why Tacview exporter did not succeed to use the folder you are showing in the log. Did you customize the data export folder to save data where Tacview is installed? This is not supported and may not work some cases like the one you are describing. You may use Tacview to define the output folder to a harmless folder, like the default “My Documents/Tacview” for example.

Indeed, the online debriefing has been broken in Tacview 1.6.0. It has been fixed in Tacview 1.6.1. If you are a registered user, you can try the current beta version: http://www.tacview.net/download/beta/ I hope to release the final build by the end of the week. Sorry for the inconvenience

After your new system is running: install the latest version of Tacview on it copy your custom files from C:\ProgramData\Tacview\ and enter your product key That should work seamlessly.

Hello Sydy, The F-5E is already part of Tacview, so you do not need to manually install it. Most DCS World aircraft are already part of Tacview installation already. It is up to you to find obj files on Internet if you have specific needs of aircraft which are not already modelized by default. I guess that you are talking about the NTTR airspaces modelized by Stucka? You can download the package from the addon section on my website: http://www.tacview.net/download/addons/ Just copy the xml file which is in the zip archive into C:\ProgramData\Tacview\Data\Static Objects\ As for multiplayer: the recording is possible only when the server does not prevent objects data export. It depends on which server you are flying on. For example, some public servers like Open Conflict authorize data export, but with the 10 minutes playback delay. Other competitive servers prevent any export to prevent any possibility of cheating. In that case, you may playback the track (.trk) file - produced by DCS World - after the flight, to generate the corresponding acmi file.

Thank you for the data. To work with the current Tacview database, your aircraft type should be named something like: [F-14A VSN] instead of [VSN_F14A_AFM] for example. I have exceptionally added the VSN_F14A tag to Tacview 1.6.1 database, so you should see it displayed as a F-14 in the next update.
-
Hello Ghostrider, There is already a F-14 3D model in Tacview (the one you found). You do not have anything special to do to see it in the sky while playing back a flight from DCS World. If this is not the case, can you share me your acmi file? I will check if something is missing.
-
This is an interesting idea indeed. However, for now, I prefer to stay focused on the debriefing part of Tacview. Maybe in one or two years, all good things come in time!
-
It depends on what information you want to get from these files. Maybe I can export it directly when recording the flight. What do you want to extract from miz files?
-
In a coming update of the exporter you will be able to record the full track, assuming it is played back later enough after the online session.

Online Debriefing Fix Thanks to your valuable feedback, the online debriefing has been fixed in Tacview 1.6.1 beta 1. http://tacview.net/download/beta Sorry for the inconvenience.

It is easy to be confused by how network ports are working. To put it simply: Ports are like pipes to transfer data. There is one port per program feature. One must not mix ports between programs and features, this will simply not work. DCS World network games are usually running on port 10308 While Tacview is recording real-time telemetry on port 42674 (this will not work with DCS World multiplayer port because this is a completely different thing)
-
If the real-time telemetry is working fine on your local computer (localhost) but does not work on a remote computer, make sure the corresponding TCP port (42674 by default) is open on the router of the running simulator.
-
In Tacview 1.6, I have introduced a new network protocol which was necessary for the real-time telemetry. This means that Tacview 1.6 online debriefing is not compatible with Tacview 1.5.4 online debriefing. It should work fine if all the participants are running Tacview 1.6. Could that be the source of your issue? If not, can you share me some screenshot of the error message displayed by Tacview?
-
I did not have the time to add a port/password option in the exporter menu. I will do it in Tacview 1.6.1.

Tacview 1.6.0 is now available to everyone! http://tacview.net/download Delivered, as promised, before the F/A-18, here is: the real-time telemetry! :music_whistling: The long awaited real-time telemetry is here! Use it with DCS World, FSX, Prepar3D, or X-Plane to record and review in real-time a flight in progress. An first draft of the instructor remote control is also available. This tool enables you to control up to four simulators, to assist trainee pilots and reduce their workload. To prevent cheating, real-time telemetry may be disabled during network sessions depending on the host preferences. These two new features go naturally well together: Use the real-time telemetry to watch in real time your trainee from outside and inside the cockpit. Help him/her using the remote control to pause its flight simulator and actuate some of its aircraft controls. In the next update, you will be able to directly bind joystick and keyboard to remote control commands. All Tacview network features are independent and can be combined the way you want. For example, you can combine the real-time telemetry and the online-debriefing to review, with your fellow squadrons leaders, in real-time, a network battle in progress like a red-flag training. In addition, many updates and fixes are introduced in this version to better enjoy flight review for all your favorite simulators. While several surprises are on their way for this year, the next major step will be Tacview 2.0. This new version will offer a fully revamped UI, and a will include most of the improvements which have been requested over the years. Meanwhile several updates are still planned for Tacview 1.6 and maybe 1.7, to offer a smooth transition while waiting for 2.0. For example, you will soon get an integrated static objects editor to easily add navaids to a battlefield and will be able to display analog cockpit instruments to get more intuitive and faster reading while analysing the quality of a flight. epPKd-xFyLc FEATURES & CHANGES Real-time telemetry for DCS World, FSX, Prepar3D, and X-Plane Instructor Remote Control to assist trainee pilots Added support for iLevil csv files Dynamic adjustment of the export frequency to increase accuracy of important objects like player aircraft Added an optional 5 minutes playback delay for DCS World exporter Integrated Ostsee 3.2.6 theater for Falcon 4.0 Integrated Pillars of Hercules theater 0.7.8.2 U2 for Falcon 4.0 Integrated Israel 1.0.3 terrain and database for BMS 4.33 U3 Trail size can now be defined more accurately and is explicitly displayed in a tooltip Added attitude (roll and pitch) charts to analyze pilot induced oscillations Added CAS to charts Added an additional larger auto scale option Added an option to choose the compression level for DCS World recorder By default, debug level events are not displayed anymore in the console, use /debug:on to show them FIXES Fixed a crash in DCS World when returning to spectator mode Tacview was not properly playing back flights taking place before 1970 like WWII flights X-Plane Real-time object teleportation is now gracefully handled It was not possible to copy/paste a shortcut containing a bullseye It was not possible to select or highlight a bullseye during online debriefing Mirage 2000 AA missiles names were mixed up Charts horizontal axis graduations were not properly displayed ACMI files export path will be preserved when installing a new version of Tacview

Hello Paul, When I playback the file you have shared, I can see your aircraft respawning at +00:25:38. Is it the one you are looking for? Tacview does not automatically select the new instance, you have to do it manually. This limitation will be fixed by Tacview 2.0 new UI: Tacview will automatically follow your aircraft across multiple instances.

Like I said, I will soon add an option so you can disable zip compression, so you can read corrupted files. I may also add a keyboard shortcut so you can start and stop data recording at will. Maybe on RALT+R.

There is no limit to the total length of a recording. However, when you are flying online, the server can decide to prevent you from reviewing the last 0 to 30 minutes of your flight. Next time you notice an unexpected recording length, can you share me you dcs.log file please? Also, when you are joining an online session, check for Tacview information in the chat window. You will see by how much the recording is supposed to be shortened because of the server settings.
